The Atlantic crashes on a coastline strewn with quaint harbors, windswept beaches, glorious dunes and blinking lighthouses. Explore Cape Cod National Seashore, bike past cranberry bogs on the Rail Trail or saunter around Sandwich, the Cape's oldest town. Many areas are architectural and culinary gems - full of weathered shingles, whaling captains' mansions, chowder shacks and upscale dining delights. Don't miss Woods Hole Oceanquest, famed Martha's Vineyard or charmingly upbeat Provincetown.

Spent the day on Swan Pond kayaking and canoeing. We had a nice time covering most of the pond and we made a couple of stops along the way - relaxing on the sand bars and Big Island. After we paddled to Clancy's Restaurant and had a late lunch and cocktails on the deck overlooking the pond. The kids ordered Nachos. Will try and make this a annual event when we visit the Cape.

We are fortunate to live so close to the scenic Cape Cod Canal. My wife and I regularly ride our bikes up and down both sides of the Canal, witnessing a variety of sea life along with all types of sea craft. We once saw the Mayflower II being pulled by a tug thru the Canal. This summer we saw a huge ocean sunfish wallowing in the currents! And it’s always fun to see the lowering of the rail bridge for a passing train. We’ve even done a Canal Cruise with live music, lots of fun. And there are some great restaurants nearby in Buzzards Bay and on the Sandwich Harbor side of Canal. Of course I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the multitude of anglers along the Canal trying to catch a big striped bass! A worthwhile visit!!!

beautiful calm lake with crystal clear waters. Sit amongst the pine trees an a tiny sandy area if you kind find a spot and skin in the lake. A lovely morning out for our family.

I've lived on Cape Cod most of my life and I can uncategorically say that Rock Harbor is one of the most perfect spots for spectacular sunsets. At the beach the tide goes way out making it a perfect spot for kids who love to investigate sea life. Little fish, snails, and clam, scallop, razor clams and quahog shells abound. The sand is soft and clean. The water clear. Charter boats come in and out of the little harbor when the tide allows, filled with happy vacationing fisherman. Fun place to be before and during sunsets.
