The PS Canberra is the oldest river boat in the Murray River Paddlesteamer fleet. Having celebrated her century in August 2013, the PS Canberra has been taking tourists on cruises along the Murray, Darling and Murrumbidgee rivers since 1944. With 100 years of working life under her hull and having carried hundreds of thousands of people the PS Canberra is one of the most travelled boats on the Murray River.

The Pride of the Murray began life in 1924 as a barge. She has since been converted to a paddle wheeler best suited to functions and group bookings.The Pride claims a proud title: of the many boats originally built in Echuca, she along with the PS Pevensey and PS Adelaide, still operate from their home Port. All children have the opportunity to steer the paddlesteamer and receive a Free Skippers Certificate. Private Charters. The Pride of the Murray is great for group gatherings (it is the only boat with Air Conditioning!). Private charters offer very reasonable rates to then allow the dates, route, duration, meals and other services to be tailored to the groups preferences. The Pride of the Murray or the PS Canberra will operate each day for 1 hour cruises at 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:15pm and 2:30pm. Alternative schedules are run at very busy times as well as off-peak periods, please check with our office for the daily schedule.
