Very nice and quiet place to relax outside under the sun .The service is not smiling .Food is in the middle range and not worth a trip . Food and wine ( Rosé Chateau Galoupet Provence ) is more acceptable than the service ...Customers mean work and work is not happy ...Better places around Namur to eat !

Second time I visited and did not like it anymore. We were with a party of foreign scientists for a late dinner but did not feel welcome. Food was so-so and the setting in the backroom is not great like the seating in front. The worst was the service by a strong madam clearly trying to work as little as possible on serving us.

Le Pont des Anges is a very nicely renovated restaurant. The decoration, the glassware, crockery, in short: 'le cadre' is tasteful. They try very hard to stretch themselves to be a first class restaurant and they almost succeed. One waiter addressed us in Flemish after he heard us speak Flemish, a nice surprise in the area. Service is friendly. The food is good to very good. The menus are very well priced. Portions are a bit too big and there are perhaps too many extras in between. Anyway, we arrived at 8 pm, choose the 3-courses menu and found ourselves eating 'le plat principal' only at 10.45 pm. The waiting between the courses was very long. A very nice try, but with room for improvement!

On the way to England, we stopped in Namur for the Night and were directed to the Le Binome by our B&B hosts. Excellent food, more excellent presentation of the food, superb wine and a delicious dessert. English was spoken! All in all superb.

What a wonderful restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was extremely helpful, chatty and friendly. Our food was amazing. I had the scampi brochette to start followed by filet of roebuck. Both cooked to perfection. Filet was accompanied by sweet apple with redcurrent sauce, pureed celeriac and a small potato, all flavours complimented the filet brilliantly. The only disappointment was that I was too full to eat dessert. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I am sure you enjoyed the artistic work delivered by the chef and the quality of the taste goes even way over the look! There is not one single course not hitting the best mark, all was simply perfect, we had no comment whatsoever about the whole experience!A quick word about the place itself, it is beautifully decorated, three main rooms and the building itself is gracious and outstanding.Next time, no doubt, I will go for the water selection just to try it, we had a couple of spiced waters and woaw, discovery again, matching so well with the dishesâ¦they definitely have resources. It is like their garden where they grow their own vegetables that you also can see in your plateâ¦One little thing though but I know they are working on it, not enough rooms available to sleep over⦠I booked the evening in October for mid-February and I had to go to a B&B nearby but as I had to drive, I only drank one glass of wine.Dear Serge, Thank you so much for your comment. This is really meaningful for us. We are happy you enjoyed your time there and to know that we will welcome you another time. About the rooms, we have now 11 so we do our best to welcome our guests for a sleep over as well :)Sincerely

I love to travel and I love to eat. I'm eating when I'm traveling but also eating takes me to the different journeys. This time my journey was beautiful, full of hospitality, warm welcoming, great food, equilibrated flavors, never ending diversity of dishes...I've visited de L'Eau Vive by myself. First I was welcomed in the chimney room, with an aperitive and small amuse bouche, I saw the menu and I made my choice. It was the end of February, so I took truffle menu. Then I moved to the dinning room, my table was in the corner with the view at the river. I don't even remember how many of plates I had. It was a lot thats for sure and I even didn't take the dessert. During my meal I sad that I was studying cuisine in France and actually working in the restaurant myself. Friendly waitress has informed me that after lunch Chef invites me to have a coffee with him. We had an interesting chat about food, restaurants, future plans. I saw passion, I saw love and a lot of hard work. Situated in the middle of nowhere, white house of the L'Eau Vive Restaurant looks like a wooden hut of Hans and Gretel. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cosy. If you are a gourmet, who loves to travel, you should definitely go there!

This was a family celebration at lunchtime in a charming location, in a private alcove in the restaurant. The building is an old tannery, but with a great ambience and space to enjoy your meal without being intimidated by surrounding tables. We had a 6-course menu with each dish being beautifully presented. We chose to follow the house suggestions for wine, some took the "Prestige" suggestion (French only) and I chose the "decouverte" which were Bulagarian wines and I must say they were all excellent and in some cases preferable to the "prestige" selection. The sommelier gave us great in-depth presentations of each wine and was happy to enter into discussions about them. I must add that they had quite a superb selection of bread available, quite astonishing. The service was impeccable attentive without being intrusive. We had a 4 year-old youngster with us who was treated very well by the staff and had enough food to be happy.A 5-hour lunch suited our purposes perfectly we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The price was quite in line with what one would expect for quality dining, and I have often paid only a little less for a much less enjoyable experience.

We visit this restaurant once a month when we feel like eating a good piece of meat, beefsteak or entrecôte; the quality is excellent and you can choose the accompanying sauce you like together with pommes frites and a small salad. Gorgeous! Even if you don't like meat, they serve scampis, or pasta...good wine choice thanks to La Patronne who carefully select the best quality to propose it at the best price...Bon appétit!

After a day of walking around interest city of Namen or Namur, we ended up in this little but surprisingly cosy bar. Setting was just awesome, with live piano music and a good choice in both burgers and beers! It took some time for our burgers to show after ordering, but it was worth the little wait!A nice thick burger, good topping, a tasty bun with an egg, fries on the side and a good beer completed the dish. And all in all it wasn't all that expensive. A very good place to grab a burger!!
