Nothing is due to chance The gourmet Restaurant La Source holds two Michelin stars and a Gault&Millau score of 17 out of 20 points, and is one of Belgiumâs 40 best restaurants. Chef Ralf Berendsen serves the finest haute cuisine creations to prove that op
This is one of the occasions that one regrets having spoiled the 5 stars quotation on others. This is definitely 6 stars level. The 2 Michelin stars awarded just recently to this restaurant don't give this restaurant what they deserve : the highest level !We had a tasting menu with excellently balanced dishes and delicious combinations of delicate tastes and high quality products. I can't remember I ever had a complete menu without one dissonant. La source really made it to the top 3 of my restaurant experiences, if not thé top.We started with several little amuse-bouche. Each and every one of them was a delight. Taste, structure, combination ... everything was perfect. One of them was some cheese combination in the form of an olive. Beautifully presented and with a superb taste. See gthe pictures for the other ones. The next was hamachi and goose liver. Excellent, wow, ... Then we had haddock with oyster, passion fruit and chives. Wow again ! The main course was Dombes Duck with Mole, red beetroot and cherry raisin. What can I say - a masterpiece. The dessert was Jerusalem artichoke with pear, chocolate and sorrel. Can I have another one please ...For the sweets with the coffee, a waiter is passing by with a cart full of deliciously looking (and tasting !) delights of all kinds. One really is tempted to say : a bit of everything please..With the risk of repeating myself over and over again. This is one of the best places I've ever been. It can't be said enough. Great food, great service, great place. Thanks for the exceptional experience.

We have had the chance to discover this tremendous restaurant last Friday eve. Honestly we were really impressed by the quality of both the food and the service. Tomatoes from the garden, fish from Brittany, veg, king crabe, mellow cake... so many dishes! No mistakes! We will come back there asap! Best place to visit!

We visited this restaurant as a conclusion to our holidays. We arrived 15 minutes before opening hours, but were welcomed nonetheless. Although the hostess did not speak english fluently (and we aren't that good at speaking french), she was very friendly and we managed to get a good understanding of what was on the menu. We had tartar and raw codfish for starters, pork tenderloin as a main course and a cheese platter and a selection of chocolate dishes as desert. All were excellently prepared and looked wonderful. Although we didn't take the full wine arrangement, we were not disappointed by the couple of glasses we ordered ourselves. When we asked for a napkin to take home the mini brownie and mini muffin that came with our coffee, we got a little plastic container and even some additional pieces without having asked for it. A wonderful piece of service that concluded a very nice night out.

Business dinner for 10. Service was warm, professional, exceptional considering the many business dinners we have had in all of Europe. We were served the same hors'devours(sp), entree and main course and each of us had the same review - "excellent". Definitely one of the best in my experience.

This is a wonderfull place to have a culinary travel around the world. The servant tells and sells you wines as if she has cultivated them herself. The food is prepared by a humble chef with a great heart for his profession. A discovery as we seldomly find them. Highly recommended.

Vous Lé Vous is next to a restaurant where every day with love for the product is cooked also a charm hotel with 5 rooms. Vous Lé Vous combines rural tranquility with culinary pleasure and let you escape the hustle and bustle of every day.A delicious dinn
We had a 3-course dinner for 40eur per person. The amuses, starter and main dish had special attention to the vegetables accompanying the fish and meat. We even had a pre-dessert and a main dessert. We ended with coffee and tea and several lovely sweets. The service was extremely friendly and polite with good knowledge about the dishes. The room is very nice to sit and the tables are far enough apart to have your privacy. As a note I must say that I was a bit surprised that we had to pay 80eur for the drinks (2 cava, 0.5l water, 1 glass of wine, 1 coffee and 1 tea with sweets) : That was quite expensive.

Stayed in this beautiful area with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We picked L'ApPetit from Tripadvisor recommendations and were not dissapointed. A very warm reception, beautiful 4 course dinner and great selection of wines, all at reasonable prices. Will definetely go there again!

"A light and cozy bistro serving gourmet, creative dishes that will surprise and inspire you. That's what I, Roland Philipsen, as an entrepreneur and chef have in mind"
Croquant is a cute small restaurant in a very quaint quarter of Maasticht; my partner and I had dinner at Croquant last weekend....this is a difficult review to write since although we enjoyed ourselves and like the concept of Croquant, the food was nothing more than OK, we were still hungry when we finished our meal, and thought that it was expensive. The specialty croquets and bitter balls were good (not extraordinary) and interesting in variety....shame that we could not find a mussel in the special of day mussel croquet. Our "main courses" were small plates (as correctly pointed out by our server) that were unsatisfying: my partner had the steak tartar which was good but the portion size was painfully small and my risotto was very average; thank goodness we ordered a portion of fries or we would have been starving. The deserts were nothing special. That being said, we had fun....the service was very nice (if a bit disorganized) and the atmosphere very pleasant. Will we return? Probably not - we have done it and need not return. The biggest problem is that we left hungry and ate nothing more than upgraded "frituur" food for over Euro. 100.00 for the two of us.
