New York State has it all – booming metropolises, majestic waterfalls, mountains, wine country, chicken wings. Yes, NYC is a magnet for tourists, but an exploration of the rest of the state can be equally thrilling. The Finger Lakes Wine Region is a vision of serene waters, quaint B&Bs, and pretty vineyards. Movie buffs will love Rochester, home of the George Eastman House and one of the world’s most comprehensive film archives. On your way to Niagara Falls, stop in Buffalo to fuel up on spicy wings.

In these times finding a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday isn't easy. This was one. We took a brunch sail on a gloriously sunny day. The crew was wonderful, the wine was good and the ship was beautiful. I'd recommend this to anyone and I'd do it again!

We did the Canandaigua Spirits tour. We had a really lovely time. I appreciate having a private driver and driving along side the lake was very pretty. We did Heron Hill which was awesome. Then we did Tuition Distilling which was even better. Then we did Three Huskies which I think could have been better. Their beer and food were great just seemed a little unorganized but it didn't take away from our wonderful experience.

You'll join one of our hosts for a jaunt around Williamsburg, a neighborhood which its locals like to think is the trendiest in the city, and we probably wouldn't disagree with them. Roam around this hip(ster) spot, seeing what there is to see, eating what there is to eat and shopping what there is to shop. Head's up, there's a lot of all of the above. Our handpicked hosts are culinary connoisseurs and history buffs, bakers and bankers, students and seniors. Like the people who travel with us, they have different backgrounds and interests – but they’re all so passionate about the place they call home, they choose to spend their free time sharing it with the like-minded travelers matched to them. Your meeting place and time as well as your itinerary are flexible, so you can plan and experience with your host to meet your needs.
Inclusions: Private and personalised experience, 2 to 5 hours with your host, Walking experience (if required, your host can suggest public transport or taxi options), Hotel meet-up (available on request for central locations)

Kamilla was a wonderful host. She has shown us the wonderful world off the beaten track, real areas where people live and work. The tour of Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Williamsburg was a real treat! Thank you, Kamilla!

So we REALLY wanted to do something different while in NYC, get away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle. So we booked this “off the beaten” path tour of queens. Why queens? Just because. It wasn’t Manhattan. It was quirky and different and we got to support a lot of local shops, actually meet real New Yorkers and learn about their craft. Ethan our guide was fantastic. So incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining and all around great guide. This was one of the high points of our tour. Next time, when time and schedules allow, we’ll be back for the Brooklyn tour too!

Gonnie and Chris are a dynamic duo! The tour exceeded all of my expectations! For just sampling food and drinks, I left feeling extremely satisfied with the amount of food and beverages that were served along the way. I had no idea Lewiston had such a rich history and culture! It was fascinating to learn about the beautiful village and all of the influential people who lived there. I sampled food that I would have never dreamed of tasting, and it really opened my eyes (and my palate) to exciting and delicious flavor combinations. Gonnie, our tour guide, made the experience
