Ask the locals where they like to eat, then walk off your empanadas and aji with a stroll through the historic district of La Candelaria or during an indulgent shopping adventure on the North Side.

Daniel, our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us everything from the oldest parts of Bogota to the new parts of the city and the plans for the future. This was a last minute trip so I had not done much research into Bogota prior to my trip. The guided tour through the city and to Mount Monserrate made the trip worth while. Daniel was also very patient with my limited Spanish.

This was an excellent choice for our first night in Bogota -- a family group of three personas de la tercera edad and one thirty-something. Our guide was Juliana and she was great. Pick up and delivery to our hotel (93 Luxury Suites and Residences) was flawless. Lots to eat and drink on this tour, so come hungry. Our only suggestion would be to end the tour in a restaurant with dessert options, rather than the two sample sandwiches. We were already pretty full by the time we got there, although the sandwiches were great.

First of all, we meet at this bar to play "Tapazo" a traditional colombian game to warm up with all this beer experience and know eachother. Then we go to the old house where was produced the fisrt beer by a colombian. We will learn about the 3 periods (Colonial, Republican, Modern) Colombia has pass trough and influence of beer and alcohol in our society. After that we will start with the first local breweries Huitaca tou have a tropical pint of beer, next point is a reconized craft beer Manigua, then we are going to have one beer made in Medellin. If you are still thirsty, no worries, there are 2 spots left. A trendy bar where they produce their own beer and finally the last one where we got plenty options of all the craft beers of Bogota.

My husband and I loved the tour of La Milagrosa Brewery (with beer tasting) and Tejo experience with host Lina. Lina is a FANTASTIC host and everyone we encountered along the tour, from the brewery to the tejo joint, was very kind and accommodating. I was terrible at tejo but it was still very fun to try :) I can not recommend enough.

The question that leads us to design our routes is ¿why a traveler who visits Bogotá, talks to us about Monserrate, Candelaria and Paloquemao as a local life if our local life are the neighborhoods, the streets and the places that we and our friends visits in our free time and on the weekends? Let's visit Usaquén in the north of Bogotá, Usaquen has a bohemian, classy and cultural feel being in the north of the city. I will introduce you to many cool places around it in this order: 1. A public treasury: to learn a bit the history of the area 2. A cafe: For a taste of Colombian coffee 3. A Restaurant: To eat empanadas 4. A terrace: For a taste of Kombucha (if you don´t like there you have more options) 5. A independent design build: To see colombian design brands. 6. An old Rum house: To drink a cocktail with colombian Rum. We spend between 20 - 30 minutes in some places to have the experiences, while we walk across the complete neighborhood, wich is full of old and charming houses.
Inclusions: Coffee and/or Tea, Snacks, Alcoholic Beverages
Exclusions: Private transportation
This was my fourth and final tour in Bogota, and it ended with a bang (good bang!). I visited Bogota with a friend but he wasn’t feeling well so I decided to do the tour alone. I was running late to this tour since my last tour ended later than it should have, but Angela (tour guide) assured me it was fine. In fact, I was the only one on this tour so it wasn’t a huge deal, but I really appreciate that Angela was super flexible. I was a little nervous being the only person on the tour but all my worries went away the moment me and Angela linked up. The conversation was great throughout the night and the drinks were superb. If you really like cocktails, then you will really enjoy this tour. Though I’m sure the last place was a part of the tour, I loved how Angela was great about me ordering a Columbian Beer. She listened to an earlier comment I made about loving beer and thought I would really enjoy some of the local Colombian beers at this spot. Also, lastly Angela is super cool host who was born in Bogota. You’re not only getting great drinks on this tour, but Angela is also super knowledgeable about Bogota and Chapinero. Her English is great as well! Lastly, she isn’t a part of some tourist company chugging out tour after tour after tour. This is her own company and everything comes out of her own pocket. It’s admirable to see her running her own business and being her own boss! I highly recommend this tour!

this experience is the best way to get in touch with the true colombian drinking culture and the traditional way colombians have been drinking in the past. Also the new styles of drinkers; like the artesanal beer culture and the native beberage that are getting stronge in the last years by the new generation of people that are looking for to really know what is to be a colombian person and part of this is recover the traditionals native drinks in our culture and fusion it with the new style. we are gonna go to the best artesanal beer places around the zona nort of bogota and also some of the secrets bars where just locals go for to drink and to play games like the RANA the old traditional indigenous game of the latin american tribes. we also try some national rum and other surprices denpend of the day. get ready to enjoy and also to party if you have the time like a extra bonus of the tour. (also depend of the day)
Inclusions: in each place we have included on of the drinks and samples (like a paint of beer or a shot)
Exclusions: not food included (some snacks yeah )

This beer-centric tour introduces you to one of Colombia’s stranger traditions, the sport of Tejo. Toss metal disks at gunpowder-filled satchels and watch them explode as you and your teammates polish off a crate of beer together. Then, follow it up with a visit to two local pubs, where you’ll have the chance to sample some of Colombia’s more unique artisanal brews and learn how to pick out their distinct flavors and brewing methods.
Inclusions: 5 - 6 craft beers, Transport between various tour sites, Snacks, Tejo court
Exclusions: Gratuities
