Birds of a Feather was a great experience! I happened to be traveling alone and I felt like I was with family. You can tell the hosts put their heart and soul into making this place more than special for their guests! Free range eggs for breakfast and extraordinary hot muffins right out of the oven? It was truly more than I expected and I will return.

1912 heritage Inn offering bed and breakfast with fabulous ocean views from all guest rooms. Located beside historic Beacon Hill Park in walking distance to downtown Victoria and across the street from the beach. Eleven spacious guest rooms with Ocean and Park views. Romantic getaway featuring jacuzzis, fireplaces, stained glass, antiques. Private bathrooms.
Dashwood Manor is a lovely old Victorian mansion with gorgeous views of the Salish Sea a short drive from downtown Victoria. I chose the Dorset Room as it had an outdoor balcony with a great view of the water and Olympia Range. It's on the 3rd floor so be ready to tote up your luggage. Breakfast is included and it was delicious. They started out every morning with yogurt and berries followed by fluffy pancakes, potatoes and bacon one day and eggs, toast and sausage another. OJ and apple juice as well as tea and coffee are offered. Cookies are a nice treat in the afternoon. Water and soda are available in the Breakfast room frig at all times. Our room was clean and comfortable and I'd definitely stay there again. And there's a wonderful walkway all along the water to help enjoy the view.

The Latch Inn, on Harbour Road in Sidney, is steeped in history and a glamourous past. In 1925, the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia, Walter C. Nichol, commissioned famous architect Samuel Maclure to build him a summer home on a piece of forested property on the Saanich peninsula. The residence, completed in 1926 and coined ‘Miraloma', was a brilliant confluence of the environment and artistic design. Even today, it oozes an old-world elegance and charm. Once the playground for the upper crust, it hosted sumptuous garden parties and welcomed visits from dignitaries and royalty. Edward, the Prince of Wales, and his brother George enjoyed the classy and comfortable accommodation in a state tour of British Columbia in 1927. In the 1940s, it became known as ‘The Latch', reflecting the fact that every door in the house is opened with a latch and iron key.
Very unique and charming home. Our recent two night stay at The Latch bed & breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable. Our rooms were very comfortable and we also had use of the large living/sitting room areas as well, where there is a large fireplace and a comfortable space to visit, play board games and enjoy a coffee. There were fresh baked cookies put out at 7:00 pm and coffee laid out at 7:00 am. Lovely location and beautiful grounds and outside patio as well. The breakfast selections included with our stay were delicious creations by their chef and the food presentation was amazing. Dominic and Michael took good care of us as I am sure David would have as well, but he wasn’t on shift while we were there. Would definitely recommend The Latch to friends and family, heck, and strangers too. Enjoy!

This Historic Heritage Inn is only 2 blocks from Victoria harbour, the Parliament Buildings, BC Museum, Empress Hotel, and a great many restaurants and shops. The Inn recently changed ownership (in 2017), and all seven suites have been fully renovated and upgraded in almost every detail. The Inn is located directly across from beautiful Beacon Hill Park with numerous walking trails leading to the ocean. See stunning views of the local beaches, Washington State mountains, free roaming peacocks, visit the petting zoo, fountains and gardens galore. Every suite at The Inn offers it's own private entrance, private 4 piece bathroom, heated floors, outdoor patio, secure underground parking, free wifi, refrigerator, microwave, fireplaces (excluding the Van Gogh suite), and large flat screen tv. Restaurants are plentiful and close for easy access to meals. The Robert Porter Inn provides a truly private and unique experience, in a one of a kind heritage home.
A colleague and I stayed here in early June 2022 on a two-day business trip to Victoria. Two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge kitchen, dining room and sitting room made for an airy stay that felt relaxing, with lots of room to walk about, easy access to the outdoors, the Inner Harbour, Beacon Hill Park and a short walk to James Bay Village for coffee or drinks. Parking is underground in the adjacent condo complex, making for a very convenient stay.

Horrible experience booking and will never be staying here. Paid for hotel, got confirmation, received email next day about issue with payment the next day. Paid again. Got email saying there was a glitch in the system and I would be reimbursed. Got a order confirmation for my second booking. Days later I got the same email saying there’s a glitch in the system and I’d be reimbursed. By then I was not able to find another hotel anywhere on the island and it totally ruined my vacation. Come home from making other accommodations and they only reimbursed me for 1 reservation, they still charged me for my 2nd one. Totally unorganized and unprofessional, messed up my booking then still charged me. Absolute joke

Beautiful view of the water, kind and thoughtful hosts, quiet and spotlessly clean, delicious food. This was a place I will stay again as it was so comfortable and gorgeous. Beautiful gardens and vases of fresh flowers were delightful.

Individually designed and decorated bright character suites at fantastic affordable daily/weekly/monthly rates. In quiet and historic James Bay, one block from Beacon Hill Park, three blocks from ocean bluffs and beaches and five blocks from downtown. Fully-equipped kitchens, queen sized beds, spacious garden/deck, private entrance, TV/DVD, laundry facilities, free parking, free wireless internet.
Easy walk to downtown. Shops, coffee shops and groceries nearby. We stayed in the Burma suite which is 2 large rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with kitchen, TV, and table and chairs looking out over the garden. Though large the bedroom is sparsely furnished and dimly lit at night partly due to missing bulb in one of the lamps. Suite has lots of natural light in the daylight hours. Kitchen is well equipped including a coffee grinder, but unfortunately no coffee maker of any kind. We requested a coffee maker by e-mail (no staff on premises) but none materialized over our 3 day stay. The couch is uncomfortable for watching TV - more like a padded bench. I wouldn't say it is a cozy place but it was clean, bed very comfortable and overall our stay was pleasant enough.

A lovely 2 br suite which walks out to the lake - self contained with a lovely kitchen, including 6 appliances. Perfect for vacationers riding the famous Galloping Goose Trail, sports fans attending local events, friends and family visiting in the area, nature lovers, golfers, fishermen, exchange students or profs at Royal Roads University, Belmont High, Spencer Middle School, or Pearson College.
I had the Queen room, which is a basic room without a desk. Decor was basic and all wall hangings were crooked. Room was icy cold, until I discovered the thermostat. No tissues in room. No key for room. Bathroom shared with two other parties but I had no problem. Bathroom was clean, renovated, with handheld shower option and heated floor--the nicest room in the house. The living areas inside was uninviting due to clutter and smell. The outside had two levels of decks with large tables facing lake and yard. If they would be better cleaned in the summer then it will be nice to use. The barge for water sports was recently broken. I had a quiet comfortable sleep, but because of the basic amenities I feel that $205 incl charges was not good value.

Nothing feels more like Victoria than the Pendray Inn and Tea House (formerly the Gatsby Mansion). A boutique B&B experience in a historic Victorian mansion where each of its 9 rooms has its own distinct characteristics and charm. A heritage building, the mansion does not have an elevator and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
We had a 1 - bedroom suite with a small balcony overlooking the inner harbour. Our room was delightful - spacious, clean and quiet. The bedroom was lovely and the bathroom had a large claw foot tub! Everything was perfect!
