The peaks of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and their fellow snow-capped giants make Italy's Valle d'Aosta region a haven for serious skiers and hikers. The Courmayeur resort offers year-round icy adventures, thanks to its Giant Glacier. The country's oldest national park, Gran Paradiso, is also located in Valle d'Aosta, as are numerous castles. A cable car ride from La Palud carries passengers over the mountains all the way into Chamonix, France, offering a bird's eye view of the breathtaking scenery.

The rooms are very tidy and clean, the bathroom is big, and the staff is exceptional. It's also very close to the main street "Via St Anselmo." Many thanks to Eleonora and Tatiana for their kindness and availability, I have rarely met such helpful & smiling hostesses. I would definetely recommand this place to anyone who wants to stay a few days (or more) in Aosta. Luca Dias

From the moment we arrived Domenico, Maria and Guilia made us feel more than welcome, it was more like a meeting of old friends! The hotel has been recently thoughtfully and tastefully converted, our room was very comfortable, especially the bed and boasts a great shower - ideal after a hard days skiing. It's just a few minutes walk from the Roman Arch and the start of the main street through the Aosta, which makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. The ski lift to Pila is a five minute drive away. Very highly recommended, especially if like us you prefer small family run hotels to large ones.

To picture the Hotel Village, imagine grounds not far from the centre of Aosta.Inside these grounds, imagine 10 Mountain Chalets made of wood and stone. Each Chalet is a Suite: comfortable, spacious with an Alpine-chic style. Then imagine a large building, also made of stone and set in the green of nature: this is the heart of our Hotel. In it you will find the Reception, a Breakfast room, Reading room and Meeting room. Now that you have imagined our Hotel, why not come and experience it firsthand and enjoy a thrillingly peaceful experience!
Although the property is close to at least 2 major roads the hotel feels like it’s in the countryside once inside ! Our room was stylish and comfortable and incredibly clean . The whole place has a comforting and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are charming, helpful and multilingual! Great location, would definitely stay there again.

I loved everything about this hotel. I loved the decorations and the employees. When we got there they accidentally gave our room to another group. They were quick to fix the problem by giving us two rooms. One room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the valley. Both rooms had nice comfortable beds. The breakfast was plentiful. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay there. The owner didn't speak English but we were able to translate with others on site.

In the striking beauty of the Gran Paradiso National Park, Cavagnet's family will welcome you in its mountain "house" to offer you unforgettable holidays, rich in ancient mountain traditions, relax and good food. All our rooms are equipped with private facilities, shower, hairdryer, telephone, TV and panoramic balcony on the Gran Paradiso chain. Our guests will have at their disposal a small spa, enriched with an ancient wainscoting, with an infrared sauna, cyclette, tapis roulant and relax area.
We really loved this old world charm family run hotel which is perfectly located in the Gran Paradiso park. You step out and walk straight into numerous different walking tracks and boy are they breathtaking. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We had a friend who fell down ill and they helped us with getting soup from a nearby restaurant and caring for him. If you want to hike this is the place to be. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The structure is disposed of a garage for the guests to park freely their car. Many restaurants are situated close by, where you can taste local specialties. In the immidiate vicinity you can also find commercial activities such as bars, sports stores, a mountain oriented library furnished of internet point, a modern sports center with swim pool, fitness, basket/volley ball gym with an indoor climbing wall.Breakfast can be consumed in the adjacent bar pastry shop at a discounted price, or in other close by bars.A very practical winter skibus stops right in the vicinity of the rooms and it is at your disposal for free. It leaves at regural interval times to reach at 1 km of distance the gondola lift that will bring you up the magnificent ski area of Breuil-Cervinia-Valtournenche-Zermatt, where you can then ski in the 350km pists resort, and have the possibility to not repeat once the same slope all day, alternating between easy or more challanging areas, such as snow-park or ski-cross, or even doing some ski alpineering (ski touring) and even freeriding. For whomever is interested in a more relaxing approach than skiing, you can try the new specialty of slow skiing. Whomever doesn't ski can go on beautiful panoramic walks with snow shoes on their feet, taste the local specialties in the typical restaurants or explore the near by parks. The structure is very warm and welcoming, dotated of comforts with six panoramic wide calm rooms, full of sunlight and decorated in an alpine style. Inside you will find a nice spa.
An ideal base for supporting TDG runners as base only 10 meters away. We arrived late and were able to park in the garage using the keycard. Our room and ensuite looked newly refurbished and was big enough for 4 people with a lovely South facing balcony. Everything was clean and worked very well for us.

The warm sun rays permeate through the large ope-view windows kissing your skin, while your eyes are caught by our beloved mountains. The Floor to ceiling windows connect our indoor, private space, with the outdoor area. Each apartment merges with its surrounding landscape, offering a unique perspective of Cervinia from the 360 degree balconies, wrapping the Red Fox Lodge.
This place is so good that we booked for next year before we left. It is difficult to fault it. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough to help you. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is great. It is only a few minutes walk to the Cretaz lifts. We hired from the shop nearest the lifts, so we could leave our skis and boots there each night, to save carrying them. (There's a lovely boot room at the hotel, too, if you prefer to use that.) Note that the gondola is a significantly longer walk (and uphill), so the Cretaz lifts are the better start point from this hotel. If I were challenged to find a fault, the only thing I can think of is that it was a bit too warm. Even with the thermostat turned off, it never seemed to get below about 23C, so I assume this is heat rising. And that is when it is snowing outside. We often had the windows open a little to cool it down, which feels wrong.

We spent a few days before Easter in wonderful Champoluc, we decided to stay at L'Aiglon. The hotel has great location in the village, very friendly staff; most helpful when it comes to answer questions and point us to good deals and opportunities. The breakfast is wonderful, in itself worth the stay.
