The world's southernmost city is located on the Beagle Channel, between the Martial Range and the end of the world. It is a key access point to skiing at Cerro Castor and Glaciar Martial, wildlife adventures with penguins and orcas in the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego National Park. Of course, it’s also the port of call nearest Antarctica, and a unique destination for kayaking, sailing or having a drink in a warm hotel bar.

My partner and I stayed in De los Andes Hotel from Jan 8th till Jan 10th and I can only say: thank God we only booked two nights. We did our checkin in the afternoon then went for a walk and when we returned at mdnight so tired from our excursion, we found out that there were no blankets in our bed, that there was only one set of towels and, last but not least, that the batteries of the remote control weren't working. At around 1am the receptionist handed us a set of blankets, towels and new batteries. We made our complaint the very next day for we had paid for a service we didn't receive. Unfortunately, and here is the fraudulent part, after waiting for a whole day they said that they were sorry about the inconvenience but that there was nothing to be done. We asked to speak directly to a manager but the receptionist said that there was no one there though they had an email address we could write to. We sent an email telling about our bad experience in their hotel and yet here we are, writing this review and still waiting for a compensation.

After several years traveling around the world, finally I arrived to Ushuaia, my land, where I´ve been living for the last 25 years.Since the first day in this charming place, people started coming to me, because of my profesion, my studies, because of my friends or for my adorable sons, who gave personality to this house. If you visit our home, you will be a special guest and you will be part of this marvelous world full of fantasy and lots of human stories, that we call Posada del Fin del Mundo. Certainly you will want to be part of this story that has no end. Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. It is located south of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. One of the most beautifull places to discover. This small, but incredible city, year after year is the destiny of thousands of people who come here looking for nature and adventure, furthermore Ushuaia is also peace, a quiet spot and the door to one of the most fantastic landscapes: Antarctica.
La Posada del Fin del Mundo is kind of bed and breakfast in a large villa. It’s a steep walk up from town, but the view over town, mountains and Beagle Canal is fine (at least from the common areas). We had a fantastic room on the very top with views all around. Good bed, good heating, ok wifi. Breakfast is ok and served in the almost private dining room. At arrival we got several, a bit strange admonitions, so as not to clean our boots in the towels, not to use the dining room for eating outside breakfast time etc. Slightly annoying also: You need a key to get out of the building (and in, all day). The owner turned out to be very helpful and interested in her guests.

A lovely small B&B impeccably cared for by a super friendly efficient crew. Traveling in the age of COVID is not easy and your hosts at the Mysten will go above and beyond to help you through it. The neighborhood is “street” and very real. If you want to get beyond the Main Street and all the new development and just meet the people who live there and love sharing their city- this is the place.

This is run by a lovely couple who do everything they can to make sure you have a good stay in Ushuaia. The room was comfortable and had everything you could need. The breakfast was plentiful and varied I certainly recommend this hotel if you are going to be in Ushuaia. The reason it only has 4 stars is because it needs a cab ride into the centre. However the fare was only about 300pesos (£4)

Discover Ushuaia from our cabins and apartments of temporary accommodation. They have a privileged view where you can contemplate the Beagle Channel and unforgettable sunrises. Located just two blocks from downtown, surrounded by parks and forests. The units are fully equipped, heated with radiator systems. We have Wi-Fi and free parking for guests.
I went on TriipAdvisor to find and book this. The photos show cute cabins nicely decorated. We were put in an upstairs old apt. built onto the owner's house. This is not what we paid for. Nowhere does it explain that there are a few nice cabins and then two old apts., nor does it ask you if you want a cabin or an apt. The apt. was very old and decorated with old beat-up second-hand store furnishings. The view was of the cute cabins. The walk to the start of Downtown was going down a very steep hill (see photos - it took two photos to show the length of the hill. You have to go down the hill to a small market to get supplies such as water since you can’t use their tap water. Walking up and down this hill is awful especially when you consider that it's very cold and windy and rains often. You can’t always get a taxi especially when 6 cruise ships are in and the weather is bad. The towels are terrible, they're very old and rough are what my rags are like at home which have been washed too many times with bleach and over-dried. Notice the furniture, what there is of furniture. We tried to leave the first day but the only place available was a hostel for one person (It was peak season and very crowded then). The internet barely worked - it kept going out, server probably was far away. I was in tears and tried to make the best of it but I wish we would have just left Ushuaia completely rather then stayed there.

In the city of Ushuaia, you can enjoy the tranquility of a small inn served by its owners, contemplate its beautiful forest and feel the warmth of its atmosphere and decoration.
I stayed here as part of a group trekking Patagonia in December 2019. I have been travelling further and thus my late review for this very special little hotel. I work in the business in London and stayed in a number of different hotels of varying ratings over 6 weeks of travel. I will never hesitate to give credit where it is due. This was so beautifully run with welcoming caring owners and staff. We arrived on a miserably wet evening after a long bus journey. We could not have come into a warmer cosier place where you feel immediately 'at home'. Clean, fresh, interesting and great breakfasts. So thank you all. Claire

Tango B&B is exceptionally located just 7 blocks of the main street, and at 3 of the old city in the slope of Montes Martiales, which allows a panoramic view to the Bay of Ushuaia. In the house: Accordion tango lessons and the Argentine music, specially designed.
Vanessa, the owner was a great host. She helped me to do the tours in the city and outside to see the penguins. In the penguin tours, the only ones that can let you walk with them is Pira Tours, tehy own the land.

We’re sure you’ll enjoy your stay at B&B Nahuel as you experience all of the things Ushuaia has to offer.
I was a bit wary at first as some bookings I’ve made via Booking.com are totally different (I.e. not nearly as good as the reviews would suggest). Nahuel B&B was exactly how I had hoped. The property is quaint and similar to a cosy cabin. Our room was big and very clean, so were the bathrooms. Also a short walk down to the centre of town. The other guests were nice and friendly & sharing bathrooms was not an issue at all. Breakfast included which was a life saver :) The owners are also super welcoming and helpful. They arranged buses for us to get to the various trails and National Park! Really recommend this place for a great stay in Ushuaia.

We spent two nights at Hostal la Laguna and payed around 17euros per night. We were very well received by Corina, the owner, who is very nice and helpful. The price is fair, the room was good, the service was great. She helped us a lot, cooked us the food we had bought to spend less money in restaurants, let us put our (big tandem) bike inside, dry our tent in the garden in the back and made us tea when we arrived from the cold outside. Strongly recommend it, for the same price you wont probably find in Ushuaia some place as confortable. Or you will probably not find anything at all cheaper than this.
