Since I had a long stay for working, I could live in the former flat of the owner. For me as a German it was a little as living as "Michael from Löneberga" of Astrid Lindgren. That old building is restored with heart. Everything during that stay was very easy and uncomplicated. Coming back from work in the evening was almost as coming home. Hello Jenifer, thanks for the good time there. Hope to come back.

The hotel is near the city centre, the place is always clean. The breakfast is really good. They have two types of rooms, one with shared bathroom, the other with individual bathroom. Make sure to choose the one you want when booking.

Johansson's Farm Hotels Roslagen is a newly built small hotel in a unique courtyard setting in the heart of Osthammar and near the sea. The hotel has nine rooms, two singles, six doubles and a "suite" and the fall is also a conference room for about eight people. All rooms are equipped with toilet, shower, TV and wireless Internet. Breakfast Serving the Jackson Cafe and Larder, Drottninggatan 15 (located adjacent to the hotel) or the charming garden, weather permitting.
These people are so friendly! I went there to ask where I could print something, and they did it for me while I was eating a very tasty and nicely made sallad with salmon. The environment made so good to my soul! <3

Really gorgeous and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Rooms are rustic and lovely and close to everything from restaurants and cliffs where you watch the sun set in the ocean. The inner yard is lovely for a glass of wine - bring your own but the hostess happily supplies you with glasses.

was aware that hotel is remoted from city center, but not expect that it’s in middle of fields literally :). Service is handy, rooms are ok and clean and some mini kitchen available as well. Very good and tasty breakfast. Summary very fine as for Conference purpose, but if you are just on business and overnight is needed - look on better locations. If traveling by car - then is fine, parking is on site. Airport is approachable by bus within ~25 min and stop in walking distance, so its fine as well.

Everything blauemadeleine wrote in her review is spot-on. I was frustrated from the time I arrived. First, I booked my room through booking.com, and there was nothing that said this was a Vandrarhem/hostel. I was not sent the entry door code, and there was no staff person present when I arrived. I rang the door/intercom bell, and the voice at the other end gave me the entry door code -- unfortunately leaving off one number. After unsuccessful attempts to get in, I pushed the doorbell again, but there was no answer. So I stood outside in the snow until another guest, who had the complete number, arrived and let me in. The room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and the shower good. In the morning, I went to the dining area and found it was self-serve to the point of having to load the dishwasher after finishing breakfast. The breakfast offering was on the skimpy side, as blauemadeleine noted. Just before I left I saw someone I assume was staff replenish the plates of ham and cheese. It was not far from the Central Station, but the opposite direction from the main shopping area. Next time I'll probably try another hotel.

We stayed at the Epokgarden for a family wedding. We have a big family and the hotel managed to accommodate all of us and were very helpful during the booking process. It's quite a quirky location; it's basically a set of self-catering apartments all centred around a courtyard. It's quite basic but the facilities are clean and tidy and the staff (especially Mia) are very friendly and helpful. It's also a good price! There isn't a huge choice of accomodation in Oregrund so for a few families travelling together this is a good option. Plus, everything in Oregrund is within walking distance (including the nearby supermarket).

This is a small hotel with a feeling of "comming home". The hotel is surrounded by a big nice garden.
The hotel kept sending fraudulent bills months after my booking, as well as unpleasant emails despite efforts to clear / clarify. I would advice to avoid this place to save yourself potential harassment.

We stayed here while visiting our daughter on exchange at Uppsala University and found it surprisingly pleasant. The photos on the website of the studio seem to be of the room we stayed in. The room was quite large and light and recently refurbished. (As in much of Sweden, a lot of the contents were Ikea branded!) The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, with a two plate cooktop (not mentioned on the website), microwave, drip coffee machine and electric jug. The people running the place were very pleasant and relaxed, so much so that we had to chase them up to pay (9 nights)! Our only quibble was that the bed was a bit narrow at 120 cm. We hired bikes from the hotel (cheaper than in town) but it is only about 15 minute walk to the centre of Uppsala. At around USD 100 a night it is excellent value. A word of warning though: the hotel name translates as "Apartment hotel". These are furnished apartments, not serviced hotel rooms so you need to make your own bed etc - just like at home!
