"The Fred", is a historic 22 room, eco-friendly, beachfront, boutique resort, spa, restaurant, bar & gift shop named after King Frederik V of Denmark who is also the namesake for our town of Frederiksted on the US Virgin island of St. Croix. The Fred is the only beachfront hotel that is also located in town on the island and it’s the first new hotel to open on St. Croix since 1986.
My fiancée and I stayed at The Fred for a long weekend over Memorial Day and loved our time there! The Fred is a beautiful beachfront property with a sizable pool, hot tub, and bar. The property is kept very clean and employees are constantly maintaining the plants, pool area, chairs, and beachfront. The hotel is also gated and has security, which is comforting as the area around the hotel is not very populated at night. The hotel staff is attentive, accommodating, and friendly and routinely checked in with us throughout our stay. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable with AC - we also enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean right outside our door. The Fred is great if you are looking to spend your day relaxing while looking at the beautiful scenery and there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance as well - we enjoyed walking to Beach Side Cafe, 69 and Polly's for breakfast. The hotel is also a short walk to a well-maintained beachfront path and huge pier which is really nice as there is not much room to walk along the beach in front of the hotel as it's very rocky. Although Frederiksted is technically a "town," it is a very quiet part of the island though there are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance but it is very quiet at night and does not have nearly as much nightlife or shops that are found in Christiansted. If you're primarily looking for a relaxing vacation, lounging by the pool or beach, you will love The Fred. If you are looking to explore a bit more, I definitely recommend renting a car (we did) as taxis are not readily available - The Fred also has free parking for hotel guests right outside the hotel! Overall we loved our time at The Fred and would absolutely stay again!

Boutique hotel offering simple but tasteful accommodations. Salt water pool, views of both the bustling harbor and south to water island and beyond.. All rooms equipped with A/C, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. Fridge and safe. Morning coffee provided.
We had an overnight on St Thomas, prior to catching a sail charter to BVI. We didn't want to spend a fortune, so the major chains got knocked out. Olga's came up on Tripadvisor, so we checked it out. Glad we did! The place is small, but the rooms are spacious, and exceptionally clean. We had a room overlooking the pool area. The pool was a great hangout place with our friends. There were several restaurants within walking distance, both tacos and more formal. Try the deli for breakfast. This place is only a five minute taxi from the sea plane, or the ferries. Great location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The Green Iguana Hotel began operating on Renewable Solar Energy in 2013, adding Tesla Power Walls in 2018 to make us even more "Green"! Lush Tropical Gardens, Great Views of Historic Charlotte Amalie, Quiet, Comfortable surrounds make your stay relaxing and enjoyable!
We spent one night at this hotel, preceding a week on St. John. We found it to be a perfect location for walking to dinner after our arrival from the states and then to breakfast before catching the ferry to St. John. Gwen, one of the managers, was fantastic to work with, arranging for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and giving us directions to the restaurant. Our room had a great view of the bay and provided all the amenities we needed. We had a great sleep. We were surprised that the bathroom in our room (H2) had only a shower curtain where a door would normally be, but for one night we were able to laugh this off. Friends we traveled with said that their bathroom doors were louvered, so privacy wasn't much better. They also laughed this off. We would definitely stay here again.

Galleon House is a quaint, small hotel on Government Hill in downtown Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas. Enjoy your complimentary home cooked breakfast on the verandah with gorgeous views of downtown and the harbor. We are walking distance to the ferries to St John and British Virgin Islands as well as all the bars, restaurants and fantastic shopping that St Thomas is known for.
A lot of steps to haul a bunch of luggage! But the balcony view and location were the focal points. Room was spartan as was customer service. Water pressure could be low but AC worked well. Mini mart nearby. American kestrel perched overhead a nice touch. Worth a stay.

Historic Caribbean charm is what you will enjoy throughout our 22,000 square foot island property. Uniquely situated on the waterfront in the vibrant downtown of Frederiksted on the West Coast of St. Croix, you will be delighted by the sweeping water views and spectacular sunsets every evening. Enjoy some of the best beaches on the island within walking distance. Each of the studios and apartments are fully equipped to anticipate your every need. In addition to the hotel, Victoria House has an air conditioned indoor event space, plus a large outdoor courtyard perfect for hosting your events, meetings, parties, weddings and more! Victoria House was built in the late 18th century, and has housed many prominent Frederiksted merchants and citizens. Its distinctive gingerbread trim was added after the house was partially burnt in the “Fireburn” labor insurrection of 1878. The Gardine Family has owned it since 1946. Victoria House has recently been lovingly renovated and restored, preserving as many of the original features as possible.
Victoria House is situated on the gorgeous Frederiksted Waterfront, steps away from the clear, turquoise sea. The rooms are beautifully done, inspired by all the colors of the Caribbean. We stayed in the Mermaid Room on the third floor and loved it! Especially the balcony, where we lounged in the evening, sipping wine and watching the sun sink over the water. Inside the bed was so comfortable and the a/c so cool that we didn’t want to get up! The charming town of Frederiksted is a gem with its historic buildings (including Victoria House!), lovely waterfront path, shopping, dining, beaches, snorkeling and diving, horseback rides, rainforest tours and more. All without being overly crowded! Plus, being on the west side of the island, the beaches are protected. The sea is welcoming, flat, calm, clear and free of sea grass. If you’re planning a trip to St. Croix, choose Victoria House and you are sure fall in love with Frederiksted like we have.

Two Sandals - Bed & Breakfast is located in the beautiful East End of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. It is the perfect place for a family trip, a romantic getaway, or short-term rental. The property overlooks American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook and boasts spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, including the neighboring island of St. John.
Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and vacation. Stayed 4 nights in the Malibu room that offers a balcony with a table and a hammock type swing with a view of Red Hook harbor. The room was clean and modern with a separate sitting area with a smart TV. Breakfast was fresh cooked and offered at 3 different times each morning and included a variety of foods. Easy walk to Red Hook downhill with plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars. Duffy Love Shack was our favorite but others were fun as well. Plenty of the local taxis available if you don’t feel like walking back to the hotel but note they will drop you off at the driveway and you will have to make the short walk up it yourself. We used the service provided as an option by the owners for airport pickup and drop off and it was well worth it. We also did the short walk to Secret Harbor beach one day and enjoyed it. It is a beautiful beach and had the opportunity to swim with sea turtles that were feeding in the water there. The beach wasn’t busy and the hotel there offered food and drink for those who wanted it. All in all a great trip and staying at Two Sandals made it even better. If you want to stay in the Red Hook side of the island, it is an excellent choice.

I called earlier on arrival day and talked to the proprietor about arriving by ten pm. All seemed ok. Then we arrived and could not get in. They had NOT sent the code. I used the red phone that was supposed to connect with office people. It rang but I could not connect with anyone. Our phones were useless because of poor cell service. We waited. After an hour we drove to find another hotel, and cell phones COULD work, and finally connected with proprietor. Only to find out wifi codes not listed. Had to call again on that. Midnight, we were settled. Good breakfast, though.
