Top 10 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Tenerife, Spain

April 26, 2023 Jacquiline Delozier

Tribal Terenife still shows influence from the aboriginal Gaunches people. Visitors clamber to conquer Mount Teide (Spain’s tallest peak) and to stretch out on the sands of Los Gigantes. Squawk hello to the playful parrots of Loro Park, or brave the petrifying drive to beautiful Masca Valley. For a true taste of Terenife, sample fresh farmhouse cheese and local bananas. A piece of delicate calado canario lace makes a special souvenir.

Nice place, great location, room had drawbacks

Reviewed By JKabo

This is a pretty house in a great location, just two short blocks to the tram stop and within walking distance of two or three parks and the main pedestrian shopping streets. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was decent. We stayed in the red room and found it very attractive and comfortable. There were a few drawbacks, however. One is that the private bathroom is across the hall, which is inconvenient in the middle of the night; the bathroom is also an extremely narrow room, no wider than the doorway, and it has the smallest sink I've ever seen. It would not be comfortable for a large person. The other is that it overlooks the street's recycling containers, and people were loudly dumping bottles and whatnot past 11:00 Sunday night, and then the truck came to pick them up. (Because it was warm in the room, we had the window open at first.) It wasn't really a problem on Monday night. So I would recommend the B&B, but the red room might not be for everyone.

EXQUISITE

Reviewed By Larisa C

Hotel Emblematico F24 is ocated super central, close tot the main attractions and the buzz of the city, while being a complete oasis of relaxation. Hotel F24 is recently opened and stuns with the beauty of the rooftop terrace. Also the rooms are incredibly clean and cozy, but the terrace is simply amazing, with a small pool, sunbeds, tropical plants and perfect lounge music. They also have a Gastro Bar where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner and I really cannot describe the food with a better adjective than EXQUISITE! This is the perfect word to describe Hotel Emblematico F24 and you shouldn’t miss it, whether you book a night with them or get a daily pass for their brunch & pool access.

This is not a hotel, but a shed made out of cardboard with a loud bar just a floor below.

Reviewed By krystianbQ6182ND

Even if there's no party at the bar, it's a huge mistake due to extremely low standard of the building. You can hear every chat, telephone notification or snoring just behind a too thin wall (or even three walls, cardboard like materials do the job this way). Now imagine a party with very loud music, add people singing and walking through the corridor even making your bed shake. Turning on the light in the corridor illuminates your room through transparent elements in the wall - gread addition, although I didn't pay for this kind of fun. There was no quiet night during our 5 night stay, but the last night was way too much. They organized a party. I just wanted to have some rest after hiking when we came back around 6pm.  No chance to have any rest since 6pm till 1am. The owner doesn’t care. Big dog was running everywhere and barked loud. Is it a joke? I came there to have some rest and not to explain some arogant human what did I pay for and what do civilised people expect during their holidays. The owner doesn’t care. Sadly, this proved me all worst things I heard about the Southerners. Extremely low standard, please avoid this place. The room was quite clean, but the bulb and whole room was way too dim and molded wood stinked in the room, probably from continously wet wooden shower floor or just the whole wooden building.

Hotel Rural Orotava

A restaurant with a few rooms.

Reviewed By Y7945BEsandran

The building is a lovely 16c courtyard house. The staff are lovely. The breakfast is good and so is the restaurant. The downside is that the restaurant and bar close at 21.45 and are closed all day Sunday. There is no tea/coffee in the room so nothing is available outside of the restaurant hours. We happened to be there during a sandstorm on a Sunday when it was dangerous to go outside because of flying roof tiles but eventually had to because of thirst and hunger. No hotel staff were there and the phone was unanswered, not good. The rooms have no soundproofing, we could hear every word from the next room and they weren't being noisy, ear plugs essential. Our shower room was very small. There is nowhere to stop to unload luggage and the carpark is about 250 metres away up/down a steep hill. While la orotava is a lovely town, it is geared towards day trippers and many of the restaurants close at 18.00. so if you stay for more than a few days dining choices are limited. Geographically it is well placed for touring the north coast and mount Teide. Sadly every review gets the same automated response so they obviously don't care.

This hotel is located right in the city centre, just 2 minutes’ walk from the main square of Plaza del Charco and in the shade of Mount Teide. From your own balcony you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Teide – Spain’s highest peak. You can also catch the guided bus tour which climbs through this impressive mountainous landscape from the nearby bus station.

Old fashioned gem in attractive part of town.

Not luxurious. Not big. Very adequate for the budget traveller who needs to be near the centre of the action. Helpful staff. No food here but many local bars for breakfast or a meal any time of day. Walking distance from bus station, markets and museums. Would stay again.

Most reviews very dated. Use the loo before you check out as there's "no going back!"

Reviewed By Jay3449

Lets be clear, the room was very nice (large and clean etc) BUT there's no longer any onsite food or drinks (nearest breakfast is at the cafe a few streets away!) However, it was the awfully blunt attitude of (some) of the staff that really stood out... Especially denying access to any bathrooms/toilets after you've checked out (not even the communal one in the old bar!) This really wasn't helpful for one of our group with travel tummy! Such a shame that there's such nice rooms in a pension with such poor service.

The staff was very rude don’t think they like the English. The shower in the bathroom didn’t work properly was freezing cold and trickling water only 1 towel for the whole week . The smell in the building not nice smelt like dirty drains. The place states no smoking yet constantly smelled of cigarette smoke through out. In the restaurant I had chicken they microwaved it to cook it . One evening myself and my partner was sitting chatting the lady who owns the place stormed in the room without knocking telling us to turn to the tv down. I wouldn’t recommend this place to stay

A very well curated hotel

Reviewed By Cardorojo

We stayed for one night during a recent visit to Tenerife. The hotel is beautifully positioned in a quiet position in the hills above Guimar, with great views down to the coast. Everything is extremely clean and tidy, and the decor is simple and effective. We particularly enjoyed our al fresco breakfast - very tasty. The only fly in the ointment was a slightly sticky internet connection, but who wants to send lots of emails on holiday? Highly recommended.
