Booked this Inn for my birthday getaway, knowing that it was within a block of the Sonoma Square. The Inn is a nice quaint facility with 5 rooms. Our room had a queen bed, little sitting area with a cafe table set, dresser and closet and bathroom with a shower. Stepping out the back door brought you to an enclosed "garden area" with another cafe table set. Each of the three rooms in our wing of the facility had the enclosed garden. Each morning a tray of fresh pastry, fruit cup, granola and yogurt with a carafe of coffee was delivered to the backdoor for our leisurely consumption. While the facility sits right off the street our room was exceedingly quiet with no noise intrusion from the street. We will be going back for future wine tasting trips to Sonoma Valley.

Tucked into the Sonoma Valley hamlet of Glen Ellen, the Gaige House feels like a secret hideaway. Of course, it's not really a secret; the Gaige House is regularly recommended in Michelin and other guides. Gaige House is part of the prestigious Four Sisters Inns collection and is an elegant blend of vintage and contemporary architecture. The verdant, secluded setting along Calabaza's Creek includes an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. All guests enjoy complimentary breakfastt and afternoon wine and cheese tasting as well as house-baked matcha cookies, after-dinner sake alongside the port and sherry. Guests staying in Gaige House’s Zen Suites discover additional enhancements found in classic ryokans, such as the use of yukata robes, geta and zori slippers.
On a short visit to California, my wife and I chose to spend a day in the Sonoma county and selected the Gaige House for an overnight stay. We chose the Woodside suite, though I suspect they all are very nice, which was large and private. The decor and setting reminded us of past visits to Japan which we greatly enjoyed. There is nothing that I could critique about our visit. We enjoyed the room, setting, wine and cheese hour, breakfast, pool, hot tub, fire pits, and the setting overall. We found the staff to be polite, pleasant and helpful. My only disappointment is that I could spend another few days there.

Located in Sonoma on Boyes Boulevard, just down the road from the world-renowned Sonoma Mission Inn, the Sonoma Creek Inn offers an affordable and casual alternative to pricey wine country Sonoma hotels - without sacrificing style and convenience. Sonoma Creek Inn's 16 updated hotel rooms don't skimp on amenities. Many rooms have private outdoor patios or porches - just the ticket for relaxation after a busy day exploring the wine country. Available select times of the year, unbeatable specials, discounts and packages are offered. The neighborhood is close to wineries, parks and the downtown area of Sonoma is just a short drive away, with its historic Plaza, innovative restaurants and enticing shops. Our staff are always happy to assist with recommendations for local adventures.
Found this hotel on line and was pleasently surprised. There are a few restaurants near by but downtown Sonoma is a number of blocks away. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean with free wifi. Boyes Blvd which is right behind the hotel felt like a racetrack at night which was loud at times but died down usualy by 10pm. This is a no frills hotel so if you want all the fluff and buff you need to book elsewher but if you want a nice small hotel with a comfortable bed and a clean room this is your place. There wasn't a chest of drawers in our room but there might be in others for we just had a small closet. There was a tv and as I said free wifi. There are two rooms on the second level so if you have trouble climbing stairs you will want to pick a downstairs room since there isn't a elevator.

This review is regarding renting out a room, not attending an event. Stayed here for a few nights recently while exploring Sonoma wine country. The location is great, just a 10-minute walk from the Sonoma town square. The grounds are also inviting and clean. The biggest problem was the room. My wife and I stayed in room 1. It was very spacious and clean, and had a very nice upgraded looking bathroom; however, the room had some odd features that made the stay less enjoyable. For one, room one didn't have side tables next to the bed. Instead, it had a shelf behind the bed, which is awkward to use. The A/C was very powerful, but so much so that it was a bit over to top loud when turning on. There were no window treatments on the windows, just blinds. The tv is miniature, maybe 19", and it very far from the bed, and also situated up on a high shelf off to the side, which made it unusable. The bed was also very soft. That might be ok for some, but for me, it made my back ache. The room had so much potential, but it seems like it was put together by someone who didn't know what they were doing. Looking at pictures, the other rooms seem to be better.

The word “lodge”in the name is misleading; this is a MOTEL with no common space to gather in other than the pool area. The website shows the 4 remodeled rooms but doesn’t reflect the 18 dated rooms out of the 1970’s. We were in room number 3. The rooms have no charm, they aren’t lodge feeling or reminiscent of a Jack London novel. The bed and chairs were very comfortable but the tops of the bedside tables were badly bubbled and the linoleum in the bathroom was burnt. The shower/tub was tiny. There was adequate air conditioning and heat and hot water. You could clearly hear the rooms upstairs. Housekeeping did a great job but overall attention to detail was not there; burnt out bedside light and entry light. The refrigerator was set to freeze and the ice bucket was too small for cooling a bottle of wine. It wasn’t a problem for us but the office has limited attendance which could make it hard to get support (or a spare key if you lock yours inside). The location is terrific, the price was reasonable but I’d have paid more for a remodeled room and there was plenty of parking.

I was so delighted with our stay I wanted to say something so others can make an informed decision to stay or not. This is a 94 year old farm house. The original hardwood floors have a wonder sound , the bed was comfy, and the porch cat was a very pleasant greeter. The owner, a world traveler originally from NY, has filled this home with her travels and collections over the past 30 years. She is also an artist, first noticing this as you pull down the long drive and see the quilt work pattern painted garage doors. The inside has some lovely works that she has painted. The enclosed sunroom where our breakfast was provided was lovely. From the fresh fruit to homemade pasties, bread and to die for apple turnovers was a delight to have. The house was spotless. The rooms had character and the owner was so knowledgable and friendly. Wifi is available and if you need TV there is one in the sitting room. If you want a sterile sparse place with a blow dryer attached to the bathroom wall and a TV in your room this is not for you. Did I mention they allow one night reservations which most in town do not and the cost was less then half of what you will find anywhere in the area. Allow yourself to experience something special with an older charm of its own. Every place you look you will discover something new in the house. We will go back and for someone looking for this type of experience, we would recommend it to you too.

Great location - short walk or drive to Sonoma plaza. The owners are lovely people and very accommodating. Beau the husky is the kindest dog I’ve ever met. He’s so lovable- makes me want to return - just to see Beau. The breakfast and afternoon tea/snacks were very tasty. The rooms are a bit dated, filled with squeaks and creaks but it’s an older home. There is a lovely gazebo in the back of the home with a television that we enjoyed when we wanted to have cocktails outside. One suggestion- they need bolder coffee- all of my family said the coffee was watery. I already made this suggestion to the owners who were receptive.

Absolutely perfect place to stay in Sonoma. We stayed in the Luna suite and it was outstanding. The location of this property is ideal and is a short walk to downtown Sonoma and many area attractions. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

The Glen Ellen Inn is a boutique Hotel in the heart of the Sonoma Valley wine country, featuring jaccuzi tubs, steam showers, fireplace, queen bed and flat screen tv. Within walking distance of many fine wineries and dining establishments, the Glen Ellen Inn also features an award winning restaurant and bar on-site.
Stumbled across this place at the last minute: serendipity has a habit of paying dividends. Whilst Covid has put a temporary stop to the Martini Bar and Restaurant, the Cottages are getting all the attention from the owners Karen and Chris. We stayed in cottage #6, which came with a jacuzzi bath, steam shower, fireplace, comfortable bed, nice seating area indoors and on the patio. It was just what we needed to get three nights of relaxing downtime. Check in and check out were very easy. Karen, the owner (and it seems housekeeper) was super responsive and was extra helpful in helping me sort out the mess I made of booking via AirBnb. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was engaging to chat with. Not only are the cottages charming, they are very well located within two or three minutes walk of good restaurants, the Jack London pub, the superb Les Pascals French patisserie, and wine tasting rooms like Wine Snob. As a bonus, there is private parking with a space for every cottage. In a non-drought year you could also sit in the communal seating and relaxation area by the Sonoma Creek that runs to the rear of the property. In these times you may spot wildlife such as deer wandering around looking to drink from the pools of water. I can see this becoming our go to place when visiting the Sonoma Valley. Highly recommend!

Enjoy the entire Casa Bella property for your visits to Kenwood and the Sonoma Valley. This historic landmark can accommodate a private group total of 22 guests or 10 couples. The property features a wrap-around porch and balcony, two suites, and four bedrooms and each bedroom includes a private bathroom. We are also proud to be solar-powered and have generators to power the whole estate. TOT Certificate #397
The grounds are very tired and really need attention to the landscaping. The home is adequate not nearly as large or as grand as it appears in the photos. I probably would not have written a negative review if the manager hand been kinder. I received a number of texts reminding me of the rules and threatening penalties. I had every intention of and did in fact follow all of the rules, her negative approach was very off putting.
