Accomodations situated in one of the most ancient houses of Riomaggiore, in the Marina, one of the most suggestive spots of this colourful fisherman village.Directly overlooking the sea, bright, modern and cosy, these studios can confortably accomodate 2 oe 3 persons each. They are equipped with tv, private bathroom with shower and independent entrance. The apartment "La Terrazza" has also two terraces directly overlooking the sea and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartments have been recently renovated with eco-materials and restoring beautiful wood ceiling beams, while the staircase to access is in wood in seafaring style. From the windows you can enjoy a wonderful view of the little harbour and of the sea. The small beach of stones, or the rocks where you can go swimming, are a few metres away from the house and also the centre of the village, where most of the restaurants and shops are, is very close to the house and you can reach it just climbing some steps. The train station is about 200 metres from the house and even closer if you walk through the “carugi”, narrow lanes made of stairs and houses maze. The car parking is out of the centre , at about 500 metres from the Marina, uphill. The centre of the village is, of course, closed to traffic but you can access it with your own car at specific times (from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10am and from 1 pm to 3 pm) to allow luggage loading and unloading .
This property is in a great location and has incredible views! Paolo was a great host and helped us find our apartment. We highly recommend staying here especially during the week when it’s quieter. We had the La Terrazza apartment and absolutely loved it.

Incredible stay, the best views I’ve ever seen anywhere, situated basically on a cliff you can see all of rio maggiores sea. Waking up to see the mountains and beautiful sea was amazing. Amazing customer service, everyone was incredibly nice and understanding. There was also a small farm and a trail to go to a natural pool near the sea. Restaurant was amazing, unforgettable pesto. A great stay, would come here again any day

There are a few apartments inside an apartment building 1 minute walk from the train station, and my apartment had a queen size bed with a bathroom, patio, and fridge. The way it was listed on Expedia, I thought it was a hotel, but it is not. And as soon as I booked the room, I got a message that I needed to book it 24 hours in advance for the owners to arrange to meet me and let me in. Don't bother with that information. I was so worried when I booked it 1 hour before I was arriving, but when I arrived, the owner was waiting outside at 11pm looking for me. Just go left when you get off the train and go up the stairs. Do not go into the tunnel. The owner is so helpful and friendly, but he does not reside on the premises. He has a friend who resides there and manages the unit. Be sure to find out how to contact the manager before they leave you because I didn't have the wifi password and needed that immediately. I also had trouble with the key and getting back into the building. This apartment is very cute, clean, and small. It has everything you would need in a hotel room. Someone cleaned it while I was out for the day and left a bottle of red wine...thank you! The patio view wasn't very much; however everything was so beautiful. See pics. The bed was comfortable, the apartment was quiet, and the shower was refreshing even though it was small. It was very private. Several snacks, and coffee & tea were left in the room for my 2 night stay as well as milk, juice, and yogurt in the fridge. I was able to buy an all-day train ticket online and walk to the train station in a minute and visit the other four cities of Cince Terre very easily. When I was leaving the area, I ran into the owner in the train station and he helped me figure out what ticket to buy and kept someone from cutting the line in front of me. I felt like the owner really cared about me and I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

We booked a room at Sofia Holiday on booking.com and the actual place looked like what was shown in the pictures. The place was clean and there were basic amenities including towels, soap, shampoo, 2 bottles of water. No toothbrush though. The balcony was a nice place to have a relaxing meal. After booking the host will contact you to give you more details on how to access the apartment and room. No problems with communicating the instructions. Location wise the place is right beside the train station so it's very convenient to travel although it's a walk away from the main town area. Didn't really get disturbed by the train noise at night

"Il Vigneto" is a family-run Bed & Breakfast activity, in the middle of the ancient village of Volastra (from the latin Vicus Oleaster, which means the place of olive trees). Volastra is one of the most authentic realities in the heart of the National Park of the Cinque Terre, where terraces built with dry stone walling cleverly made without any cement, give place to the cultivation of vineyards and olive trees. Volastra besides offering an extraordinary natural landscape with hills sloping down to the sea, is the most important crossway of paths of the Cinque Terre. In fact, from Volastra you may hike many paths with various levels of difficulty surrounded by a spectacular nature. All the paths are duly signed with red and white strips. In a few minutes from Volastra you may reach Manarola thanks to a good shuttle bus service. The cost of the bus is included in the daily ticket to visit the National Park. Once you are in Manarola you may use trains and boats to visit the other four villages. "Il Vigneto" of very recent restructuring offers double, triple and quadruple rooms, each one with its own bathroom, TV sat, high speed internet connection, small fridge, heating and a few with sea view. Breakfast is served in the dining room while during the good season it is served on a wide panoramic terrace with an amazing sea view. From the terrace, that may be used by our guests, you may admire the sea surrounded by hills cultivated with olive trees and vineyard.
My girlfriend and I visited Cinque Terre for several nights. We were on a trip through Europe and booked what we needed as we went along. This allowed us flexibility to stay in places we liked for longer at the cost of a slight premium. We came upon this place through Airbnb. After messaging the host, and finding out it was a legitimate business, we decided to make the booking directly on their platform as to avoid the additional fees through Airbnb. Prior to making the final booking, we had a lengthy conversation about if the room was indeed available. Airbnb showed it was available for part of our stay but Andrea, the son of the owners, assured us that he had an extra apartment that could accommodate. We agreed upon a price and details and made the booking. We had a very rough trip coming in, taking over 9 hours on several trains to reach Manarola. We were very fortunate to just catch the last bus that takes to Volastra. This was the first thing thing that we missed and wish we had better looked at but it’s at no fault of the B&B. Volastra is a tiny village that cannot be walked to. The last shuttle bus that goes there leaves at 10 PM. If you are carrying any sort of luggage, you will regret every ounce of it. The hills and the bus just don’t accommodate anything but yourself. Upon arrival, we found that between the 3 phones we had with us, none of them had service. We struggled to find the B&B and realized that we also had no check in instructions nor code to the WiFi. We spent another 30 minutes walking around until we could get a signal and message Andrea for the code to unlock the door. The lack of check in instructions is a huge ding. If you don’t have 24 hour reception, at least provide us instructions prior to arrival so we know how to access our rooms! At this point, we made it to our rooms and slept the night with no fan or AC. I have never slept in a room with such still air. To make matters worse, Andrea was messaging us about paying extra money (he never mentioned any of this) and about needing to swap rooms 3 times (who the fudge wants to swap rooms every night while on vacation). I had to silence my phone and try to sleep before I blew a gasket. In the morning, we were woken by the sounds of other guests eating breakfast. We got up quickly so that we could eat as well (we were never told when breakfast was served so we didn’t want to miss it). We came to join everyone else (we even took our seats) and instead of being greeted with a “bonjourno”, the lady who does all of the cleaning and “cooking” said to us, “I need your passports and then I can give you breakfast”. I don’t know what planet these people come from but that’s is so disrespectful and rude. If it was that important to you, why did you not greet me at arrival? Why do you have to make a scene in front of the other guests and more importantly, stop me from eating breakfast just for my damn passport?!? Unbelievable. FYI, the breakfast is just toasted slices of bread, yogurt, and burnt coffee. Make what you will of it and decide if it’s worth extra. After that ordeal, we went back and forth with Andrea about how we would handle our stay. Initially, he wanted to charge us more money for breakfast and more for the apartment despite our prior agreement to just booking ONE accommodation and breakfast. I had enough bull crap, so I offered to pay the initial price we agreed upon (mind you I had an email copy) on my credit card or I was packing our bags. The talk of a credit card frightened him and eventually he settled on charging 2% more and wanted the whole payment in cash. He also said it was okay if we pay during anytime during our stay including the day before our last. He also agreed to limit our moving from 3 times to just once, the morning where this poop show happened. Every morning after that was a disaster. We missed breakfast the next morning because we “came too late” even though they still didn’t tell us the time for breakfast yet! Conveniently, we were also hounded for the cash payment. I’m not stupid, so I refused to pay them yet. Given the little respect we were shown, and how much I had to fight for everything, I knew that I had to hold onto my money until ALL services were rendered. The next few mornings we managed to make breakfast and just sat through our daily “do you have money” lecture. On our last breakfast, I made the payment in full. Fellow travelers, make what you will of our story. Maybe Italians, or even Europeans, are used to being treated like this. 0 respect, no customer service, and just view each other as walking ATMs. I for one have to much self respect to be treated as such. I will never return to this place and probably not Cinque Terre because these people were all scammers. If you do stay, be smart and protect your pockets!

Sicuramente super consigliato!

We stayed there last week end and we had a great time. Room was cozy but super clean, our balcony on the water was so romantic during the night and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the bed. Check in and check out made through WhatsApp were quick and easy. We will be back in Summer for sure

Perfect location in the main street of Riomaggiore, right in front of Bar Centrale. Steep stairs to the 3rd level, lovely room with en-suite. Very basic with kettle and mugs. Balcony on the 4th level. All guests have access to the balcony. Barbara was very nice and we felt very welcome. Good value for money as accommodation is quite expensive in Cinque Terre. We booked 9 months in advance. Great stay and super close to everything. Laundromat just across the road and 2 supermarkets in the main road. Great stay in CT!!! We will be back one day!!!
