A patchwork of vineyards and olive groves, dotted with whitewashed hill towns and sun-bronzed beaches—Italy’s southern heel has no shortage of photogenic landscapes. There are a few surprises, too, including the baroque city of Lecce and the Itria Valley, with its UNESCO-listed trulli houses.

In the heart of the baroque Lecce, Le Bifore can admire charming views of the old town. Its luxurious suites, unique design and research, have been designed and furnished to meet the needs of demanding customers who want not only to visit, but to live the beauties of Salento.
The building itself is wonderful but: 1) No room cleaning at all is performed due to covid-19. This includes (used) towels, which do not get replaced 2) No breakfast at all is served due to covid-19 -> instead, you get a voucher for a coffee & a croissant (thats it) to be redeemed at a nearby cafe 3) The check-in procedure was very confusing and I ended-up staying in a room type different from the one I had booked 4) Very scarce hot water: had to shower with cold water on my first day 5) The place is quite run-down: dirty walls, some cheap furniture (IKEA) 6) Bad is stone hard: could hardly get some sleep 7) Very small & cheap TV All of the above, considering the price point, is not really acceptable. On the positive note, rooms are super big and roomy. This place has a huge potential which is clearly not exploited. As an Italian myself, my recommendation is the following: do yourself a favor and book somewhere else in Lecce.

Our facilities include different types of accommodation that range from the charming rooms that look out the Roman Bridge and the alleys of the old town, to the luxury suites that overhang Lama Monachile beach, the most distinctive glimpse in Polignano a Mare. The towers and the walls that used to protect Polignano in the Middle Ages today host Antico Mondo, an enchanted, elegant venue. Blended between tradition and modernity, its rooms are thoroughly furnished for guests who seek luxury, comfort and heritage. We stayed for three nights during the Greek Orthodox Easter holidays. The hotel is totally and utterly amazing and aristocratic! Our quirky and impressively decorated rooms were extremely spacious and spotlessly clean! Our room was a trullo and the feeling living in an actual ancient trullo was out of this world. All the staff were very polite and attentive to our needs. Valerio, the manager, from the moment he greeted us when we checked-in, until our check-out, was eager to give us directions as how to fully enjoy his hotel and the magical Alberobello. Nothing was too much for him. He really wanted so much to make us feel comfortable and have an awesome time at the palazzo. The beautiful breakfast was served in our room, with a variety of teas, coffees, breads, jams, cheeses, meats, fruit, yogurt and pastries. We strolled around the town with the amazing trulli and its winding little streets. We felt as if we were staying at the Smurf village. We shall definitely return to the "Palazzo Scotto" soon. Thank you so very much Valerio! We had a memorable stay at your magical place! Many thanks to your wonderful father. We shall see you again soon!

Unfortunately we had to cancel our 2 suite booking 8 days before arrival for medical reasons Despite our detailed explanations of the reasons for our cancellation the hotel did charge us the full rate (2 suites for 3 nights) for "no show".... During high season which starts on 16h June one has to cancel 20 days before arrival for 0 charge and during mid season which ends on 15th June we can cancel 7 days before arrival with no charge Our arrival was foreseen on 17th June This is really a non commercial attitude from the hotel which stated that they will not be in a positon to sell the 2 suites which is probably not true Therefore ourselves and our friends will in future black list this hotel

For our guests, Palazzo Muro Leccese is "the heart of Salento ," not so much for its geographical position - halfway between the Adriatic and the Ionian sea, between the beautiful Baroque of Lecce and the magic of S. Maria di Leuca -, as for the emotions that this ancient Palace of the seventeenth century arouses in visitors and guests. The honey-colored local stone, the solid white light that creeps powerfully into the "courtyard" and wraps up The Palace until sunset, the open spaces that encourage conviviality and relaxation, the scents that spread from the kitchen and take the memory back in time, to other moments, other emotions. Everything invites you to a magical escapism in a " timeless dimension", with a so wrap-around and nice service, although wonderfully discreet, that it is not difficult to understand why guests come from so far away and do not want to leave this Relais de charme and well-being. In the rooms, all differently decorated with refinement and elegance, the arches are joined in beautiful vaulted ceilings, solid, protective and unattainable, like everything that is majestic, that is history. That is there to preserve an innate beauty, a precious treasure. Fabrics and antique, precious furniture from England coexist with traditional flooring, furniture and laces from Salento and with luxurious, modern facilities, creating a regal and charming mood, eclectic like this land is. But even the food is regal and cherished, prepared with love and passion and served in a lovely dining room with wonderful vaulted ceilings and romantic niches for moments of great intimacy. Located a few meters far from Piazza del Popolo - surely the most beautiful square of Salento for that typical stone, so warm and compliant with artists' mastery - the building dates back to the seventeenth century and was refurbished for the first time in the '20s, acquiring numerous delightful architectural details in Art deco style, and then recently, under the supervision of the Cultural Wealth Ministry to preserve its authenticity and style. Like all the ancient houses, The Palace is built around its "corte" (courtyard). Today all rooms overlook on this space, but in the past it housed the stables, the well and the "pila" (stone laundry) with its grooves (li stricaturi ), confirming the remote intent to make it a common living space, a kind of popular lounge where families spent their days working and helping each other and in the evening they huddled round to listen to the stories of the wise old men which captured the imagination and the attention of the younger ones. Beyond the courtyard, a delightful garden and a wellness area, an oasis of peace originated from love for well-being and relaxation, where you can rediscover the joy of well-spent time. Naturally, with such elegant surroundings to enjoy you may not wish to leave this residence of charm, preferring instead to relax in the reading room, find a quiet corner in the garden where try your hands at crochet, sipping tea in the Aubergine room or enjoying - in the shade of the orange and tangerine trees - the flavors of authentic cooking, refined, driven by love for the good things. Sublime.
The owners’ attention to detail in this fabulous oasis in Muro Leccese is the key to its excellence and charm. We began our walking tour of Salento here, and couldn’t have wished for a better venue and hosts. Food simply brilliant, both dinner and breakfast, all home cooked and locally sourced, for intense flavours and interest. Our room was full of charm, comfortable and characterful, as is the whole property. Thankyou both for your fabulous hospitality, and a lovely region of Italy to explore.

While the trulli was quaint, the stone interior made for a very chilly night. The hot water supply only lasted for half a shower, making for an even colder experience. There are 3 beds available, but one is in the attic, which would be very difficult to access. The bed we slept in did not meet our expectations, given the cost of our stay. Breakfast was a basket of commercial snacks.

On the road there’s a sign saying: ‘restaurant, trattoria, pizzeria’. This is not true. When we asked for a table they hesitated and gave us one. After he seated us we heard the waiter yelling at the chef in Italian ‘there’s another two....’ on a not very welcoming way. For the food we had choice of 2 types of pasta (primi) and 2 types of fish as a secondi. For the wine there was a choice of red or White House wine. No wine list while we saw a a wine fridge / display with many different wines. The waiter told us the house wines were local wines, which they weren’t. They were just cheap wines from a large wine distributor in Italy. They charged us €20 for a bottle. While our dinner was served we heard another table complaining about the bill they received (they don’t tell prices when they tell what limited choice there is). The food itself was far from special (this is an understatement!) and the service terrible. The price is far to high (there were 3 of 5 tables complaining). We spent 4 weeks traveling though Italy/Puglia but this was by far our worst food experience. So my advice: don’t go here for dinner!!

Unique moments of relax Arrived at the Bed & Breakfast La Rosa dei Trulli you will be pleasantly surprised by the scents and by the colors. The white stone of the trullli is in contrast to the lush green of the garden and the blue pastel of the sky. The large square in front of the residences offers a splendid panorama view over the town of Alberobello and over the surrounding countryside.
Beautiful place to stay. Everything was perfect. Totally relaxing and very comfortable bed. Don’t miss staying at this gem. Delicious breakfast, and nothing was too much trouble. Easy journey into Alberobello. We loved every minute of our stay here.
