After we received notification that the ferry to U.K. was cancelled we planned our trip back by road. At the current time hotel is open for essential workers and travellers but if planning a trip I would call them in advance. The staff Rivera del Duero was fantastic, they were incredibly welcoming and extremely helpful throughout. We were able to eat in the restaurant ( only hot meal in 3 days) following social distancing guidelines. The was a disinfectant foot bath in reception, the staff wore masks and gloves at all times, they were constantly cleaning all the surfaces. Our room was comfortable,, spacious and immaculately clean with an excellent bathroom. The bar area in normal circumstances is used but locals and would be great. There is a carpark opposite and secure parking on site. I can’t say anything about the area or the town as we weren’t able to take a look around. Brilliant stopover under the very difficult circumstances. A big thank you to the hotel for looking after us so well under very difficult circumstances.

Location could not be better. Rooms overlook Almazan's gorgeous, but austere Plaza Mayor & the surrounding countryside. Excellent spot for exploring the village's old town & the wonderful park along the Duero River. Rooms are spotless & well-laid out, bed was quite comfortable. The hostal has cafe downstairs, which has some great wines, good food, very reasonably priced. Staff are accomodating & professional. Rates are more than fair, it's a wonderful value. I'll be back!

We stayed for 2 nights on unit 005. We were there on Sep 12-14 and the hotel already turned off the air-conditioned (only fan, not refrigerating), so we needed to open the window and this maintained the room temperature pleasant, we did not have any problem having the window opened, it was quiet, no mosquitos and it had a beautiful view. The furniture is antique style and the carpet already shows some wear, but the unit was clean, quiet, and comfortable (after opening the windows) and the hotel has plenty of spaces to park around without charges. The buffet breakfast was ok.

This is a wee gem. It's low priced and well located. There isn't a restaurant actually in the hotel, but breakfast and other meals can be bought at it's place just across the road. The staff were very friendly with unlimited patience at my appalling Spanish. The rooms aren't big but as it's low cost I thought it great value.

The Hostel Soria, a modern building with a minimalist interior, is a city-centre hostel in Soria. It's located a few metres from the 'Plaza de Toros' (bullring) and just a few minutes' walk from the old town. The recently opened building stands out because of its colourful façade. It has free wifi internet in all rooms and a free spa for guests, which makes the Hostel Soria the perfect place for unwinding on holiday. From here, it's easy to get to the best restaurants in Soria and sample the wonderful traditional food. There's no doubt that if you're looking for time to relax and a spa in Soria, this is the right place. Reception hours: Monday to Saturday from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 21.00. Outside these hours and on Sundays, check-in takes place in Soria City hotel 300 meters from the hostel (C / Zaragoza, s / n 42004 Soria).
I recently relocated to Spain and chose the Hostel Sercotel to stay in while I was looking for permanent accommodation here. The hostel is in a good location and the room was clean when I arrived. While the bedsheets were changed almost daily oftentimes they had stains on them from previous guests, and by the end of my stay the floors and surfaces had not been cleaned since I arrived so dust had built up. The main problem I have with this hotel and company is that one day when I was out a member of staff dropped my Macbook in my bedroom that had been left on the bedside table and caused considerable damage to it. When I brought this up at reception upon finding it, the woman was very unapologetic stating she would tell the other cleaner and told me there are ‘Chinese shops’ I could go to. I then contacted the main email address for this chain to ask for their insurance details and I have yet to have a response from them. This experience has caused me great distress during an already difficult time as I am now going to have to make a +200km round trip to a certified Apple Store to ensure my laptop is fixed by a certified engineer. All in all I am very disappointed by the experiences I have had with the staff and head office from this hotel as they have a blatant disregard for guests property and experiences. I would not recommend this hotel until they learn how to deal with problems they have created.

We arrived at the hotel at the beginning of the village as instructed and David led us up to our hotel at the top end of the village. We parked the car and then walked the few yards to this beautiful old building. In through the very very old door and what a surprise inside. Just look at the video on the website. It really is a treat, all beautifully renovated in the old style of many years ago, one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. Our room was not large but had dual aspect windows over the valley and the castle. An adequate modern bathroom, all very clean. We watched the swallows dipping and diving over the valley for ages. The meal at the hotel was a little disappointing, not much selection on the menu but that was the only slight negative of the whole stay. It is a delight to wander around the cobbled streets of the old village which is high up and has some stunning views over the plains from the top. We would love to return one day.

We were attracted by the descriptions of Soria and spent two nights there, at this well-located hotel. The city has a long history, picturesque ruins, an excellent Museum of Numancia, several Romanesque churches (some near the hotel), very good lunch places with reasonably priced menus del dia, a Michelin-starred restaurant where we lashed out for once, and one of the most city beautiful parks in Spain. The hotel has excellent staff, is right in the centre, and good for the price. (Only down side was the gym and spa are out of operation). Highly recommended
