Tajaa Pha The Heritage Home is a family run guesthouse located in the center of Patan, only 5 minutes from Patan Durbar Square. We offer a comfortable stay with amenities such as free wifi, attached bathrooms, cable TV, fridge, hairdryer, kitchen, etc. in a traditional neighborhood. At Tajaa Pha, we try our best to make out guests to feel at home!
I loved my stay at the Tajaa Pha Heritage Home. Firstly, the location is hard to beat - you're 5 minutes walk from the Square with all its temples and palaces (and restaurants). The guest house itself is beautifully appointed, with great views of the lake in front of the property (see photo). My rooms (I stayed on two occasions, once on the third floor and once on the forth floor) were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was made with love and care (plus I had a tortoise begging for scraps which was novel). Lastly, the owner is really friendly, helpful, and a font of local knowledge.

The Inn Patan, recently transformed from century-old houses to an exemplary heritage hotel, offers warm hospitality and delectable cuisines. A miniature heritage museum in itself, the Inn Patan has 10 individually designed and meticulously crafted rooms in remarkably historic configurations. Stay with us for an amazing experience of living in Patan, Lalitpur, a.k.a. "the City of Fine Arts."
I stayed 3 nights at The Inn. It was very nice rooms and location. Patan is a beautiful place to visit when you are in Kathmandu for a few days. But i do not mean it is 90 dollars worth. There was nothing speciel about The Inn, for example regarding to the service - on the day of my arrival i was not received with a cup of tea or anything, they were not very aware of me checking in. There was also no cleaning in my room during the 3 days, neither were the water bottles replaced during the stay. On my last day going to Thamel, they couldn't help me with getting a taxi, and i was standing on the road for half an hour trying to get a taxi myself. I normally not expect things like this in other accommodations, but when you pay 90 dollars per night, i think that it is in its place. Other than that it was a pleasant experience :D .

Traditional Homes- Swotha is a beautiful Boutique Bed and Breakfast nested in the heart of Patan Historical center, a few meters away from the magical Durbar Square. 5 intimate and spacious rooms with attached bathroom and an Attic Suite room. The furnishing is cosy though minimalist (iron and wood mainly) but very comfortable ( antique chair, cotton linen sheets, wool and hemp carpet, quality mattress, gas heater, hot shower, hand made soap, cotton curtains, selection of books in each rooms and powerful wifi!) to which you add a beautiful roof terrace, a wooden balcony for each room, a small garden and a nice restaurant serving fresh and organic food.
Located right within Patan, Traditional Homes Swotha is an excellent place to stay. As mentioned by others, it is located within walking distance to Patan Durbar Square. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us to arrange for a driver to bring us around Kathmandu, and extending our checkout time until we were ready to leave for the airport in the late evening. The room was spacious and clean, with hot water for shower (very important during winter). It would be nice if the room had a heater as well. Nevertheless, the bed had an electric blanket, which was extremely helpful for us who hail from sunny Singapore.

The Boutique Heritage Home is a family run guesthouse, where its guests will dive into a cultural atmosphere of typical Nepali life. The rooms are lovingly decorated with an effort to preserve heritage touch as well as to make them comfortable for high demands of modern travelers. It is atleast 250 yrs old traditional Newari house passionately renovated. it is located just 3 mins walk from the Durbar square yet in a quite area. It offers lot of room choices with a lovely garden where out guest can relax and have breakfast.
I stayed here for 8 days. Service was excellent. Breakfast needs more variety, though. I love the rustic ambience. Great hospitality. The owner was in location and chatted with us guests from time to time. One downside is that there is no air conditioning. I probably will not visit this place during the summer time. Hot shower was a little problematic. My suggestion is that take a hot shower in the evening since the water is heated via solar power. I love the garden where we had our breakfast. Also, the location of the hotel is excellent. I made several trips to Patan Square and other cultural locations.

Shakya House provides tourist accommodation with bed & breakfast facility. We are located in the historical city of Patan, one of the oldest city in the country. Though being located in the urban area, we have peaceful and calm environment. Therefore you can enjoy a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The setting of the Shakya House is nearby major tourists attractions of the city like the Durbar Square, Golden Temple, Mahaboudha Temple which are all located nearby within the walking distance. Besides these you can explore the old city as well. We make your stay a cozy and comfortable one by making you feel home away from home. Friendly environment and warm hospitality is our core motive.
I’d already spent some time in Kathmandu during my time in Nepal, but I didn’t check out Patan whilst I was visiting, so I decided to spend the weekend there on my return. Shakya House was fine for me. I didn’t want a fancy place, just somewhere clean. Security appears to be important here - they have round-the-clock guard who seems to monitor all your comings and goings. He even checked me in! Possibly a bit OTT, but who knows? It’s in a comparatively affluent area, so maybe it’s warranted. And he’s a friendly guy in any case. The gate is locked at 10pm, and you have to inform them if you plan to stay out later. Not really a problem if you stay in Patan as everything wraps up super early. Even so, the gate was already locked on my first night when I returned at 9:45pm. With regards to venturing out, Shakya House is a bit out on a limb - 10 to 15 mins walk to any of the sights or places to eat (unless you want fast food). Wi-Fi was temperamental - off more than it was on; frustrating when trying to back up! There’s a complimentary bottle of water when you check in, which you can refill as often as you like. Amusingly, I was also given a toilet roll at at check in. I’d have quite liked a kettle in the room, but not the end of the world. Breakfast is a simple affair, not too inspiring, but it’s enough unless you want something a bit fancier or more substantial.

This is a fantastic little boutique hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have character. The walking tour to see the hidden wonders of Patan was fantastic. These are areas you would never find without a good local guide. Highly recommend.

We are clean, calm and quiet place from the city. But we are very accessible to city bus and restaurants my area. Green vegetables. Market supermarket around me. We are homely and friendly atmosphere and guest feels like home. That don't feel home away home. My home gives them always service what they needs. Spa treatments, trekking arrangements, ticketing, city tour, etc.
We stayed at this amazingly nice B&B concept hotel for 4 days. The staffs are very nice. Nepali food is yummy and homely. The location is great. Overall our stay was nice. I highly recommend this for boarding.

Temple House is located in the heart of Patan Durbar Square under the preservation of UNESCO world heritage site. Temple House is just behind Krishna Temple. Twenty three years ago, we started Cafe Du Temple, a specialty restaurant in Patan Durbar Square and Bouddhanath. Riding on its experience, we diversified to next level of hospitality service through Temple House.
Our group of 16 stayed in this lovely, traditional Newari guest house. The hotel is well-located just off Durbar Square. Rooms are quite nicely and carefully appointed and really comfortable, including bathrooms. The price is really reasonable considering location and amenities. The steep stairs were a bit of a challenge for some of us older visitors, but the rooms and rooftop were absolutely worth it, and we appreciated having the original cozy rooms and decor. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. There is even a carefully hidden safe in each room for those who need one. In spite of being just off the square, the hotel is quiet. Great place in all respects!
