The hotel is very conveniently located near the city centre and the bus/railway station, but it was not noisy at all. The front desk is not manned 24/7, but the front door is accessible by the room key. It was clean and the staff was friendly, and the room was quite spacious. However, the heater was very noisy, sounding like water gurgles and very loud, it also takes a good hour until it even feels warms to the touch. The sink in the room does not have warm water, which was annoying. Overall it’s not terrible, but I don’t think I’d stay here again ☹️

Bad. This is 3 stars minus no telephone in the room to call so called reception. I tried to call them through their normal phone from my mobile phone- and even after 10 minutes nobody picked up. When I came downstairs - there were 2 girls. Bad. Don’t stay there

Die Reederin (she-ship owner) is a former shiping company building that has been wonderfully transformed in a great hotel. The main colors are simple, dark imperial blue, ammonite gray, rusty red. Rooms are individally furnitured by vintage furniture, and top contemprory design pieces and lamps. The hosts very very kind, super responsive and serve a great breakfast, with self made bread. Great is also a room for guests to chill or work. You can get a drink from the cognac room as self serve.

We took this hotel since it was the last one available with a short notice. When we arrived in the evening the hotel has gotten a Water fragture in our room and we had to sleep in a private cosy romm not far away from the hotel. The hotel did everything to help us in the situation! It´s not a fancy exclusive hotel more like B&B but okay!

This small (about 10 rooms) boutique hotel is well located in the old city within a beautiful historical building. The design is great, mix of modern industrial and old style, and the rooms are just huge and all different. There is limited service (the very nice and totally english fluent manager leaves at 7pm), but a very good breakfast, but it works well and at the end to the day it gives an excellent value for money, 5 star rooms with 3 star price. The place to be in Lubeck ! Follow also their advice for restaurants, they have a couple of very good spot to propose.

Do you want to enjoy a real castle? The charming little castle "Lübecker Krönchen", opened in June 2017, offers beautiful rooms and suits to sleep like a royal.
We have stayed in many hotels in Germany, but this is definitely the best, friendliest, most beautiful we have stayed at. delicious, breakfast, beautiful nicely decorated rooms and close to town. It is a beautiful mini castle, we would definitely recommend. Very safe compared to covid-19.

Being at the center of Travemuende and right at the waterfront this hotel is certainly a good choice in terms of location. The hotel seems to have expanded over time: the way the breakfast room is extended with a walkway over the arcade and some rooms in another wing reachable only via stairs seem a bit weird but also interesting. Unfortunately the style is old but not really in a charming way. Everything is clean, service friendly but the room i occupied was spartan and not at all cozy. Shower still with two faucets where I needed to mix hot and cold water myself (takes time), no heater in bathroom. So, all still okay for the price but definitely not more or fancy. Breakfast, too, is good. I expected more but than again for the price it is okay. The soundproofing wasn’t good though.

The hotel is very charming, an old town house in style in the old city wall. There are stairs to climb. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff very friendly. Good value. It is in a quiet area of the old town, beside the cathedral. We had a very nice room on the top floor overlooking the river.

Jessop Haus, just 5 minutes from Lubeck railway station, offers clean and comfortable accommodation at a good price. We stayed in a ground floor apartment which was spacious, light and very well equipped for people like ourselves who like to self cater. The Jessop family are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It is really refreshing to stay in this type of accommodation after staying in some very ordinary, expensive hotels elsewhere.
