As Baja California Sur’s capital, La Paz is mostly used as a jumping-off point for Cabo San Lucas’ beach resorts. However, its old-world charm and pleasant waterfront promenade featuring international art and restaurants overlooking the grey whale–inhabited water are reasons worth sticking around.

Casa Kootenay. The bed and breakfast that feels like a resort. The main house is waterfront on the Bay of La Paz with an enclosed garden that offers hot tub and non-motorized watersports in the bed and breakfast package. Casa Kootenay has two casitas each with room for 2-4 people. A beautiful outside kitchen with BBQ.
We were referred to Casa Kootenay by local La Paz friends and they were absolutely right - this is a fabulous B&B. Leeanne is a great host - warm, friendly and great local guide who is professional and never imposes herself. The B&B has so much to offer - great location, privacy, secure, direct beach access, comfortable rooms (and bed!) and delicious breakfasts! Her staff are lovely and we always felt safe - very much a home from home. We loved wandering the beach outside before sunsets and saw these little crazy jawfish in the beach (see attachment). And speaking of sunsets - the rooftop veranda is the pièce de résistance of the place - for the most peaceful sunrise coffees and sunset cocktails! If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay with excellent access to downtown La Paz and the Malacon plus delightful host and delicious food - we highly recommend Casa Kootenay!

Casabuena is a family oriented, child safe, pet friendly, private, enclosed property. Our 13 rooms include: 2 comfortable beds, private baths, AC, WiFi, maid service, and refrigerators. Amenities: Pool, guest computer, Dish Network (in common area), maid, common kitchen, secure parking, owners on premises, catering. We're perfect for family get-togethers, retreats, mission groups, etc. Large central building for gatherings. We are friendly, clean, well decorated, landscaped and located.
We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was nice with a comfortable king bed, a kitchenette and a patio. The shower was good, wifi was good as well. We appreciated the different breakfast options - had yummy muffins one day and homemade granola. It was close to the Malecon (although we did drive there rather than walk). The property is surrounded by a wall and felt very safe and comfortable.

A place reserved for those people who are always looking for the best. An exclusive ambiance which blends the comfort of this era with the luxury and tradition of an antique Mexican house. Every detail has been carefully chosen with the basic elements of the Colonial -Mexican decoration.
The restaurant and location were excellent. Rooms charming, large and clean but the highlight was the exceptional help provided by the charming Oliver. I might not have survived without his work on my Volaris return. Mil gracias, Oliver.

Welcome to Casa al Mar! We have endeavoured for you to find an amazing place not only for its fantastic location and design, but for its relaxed atmosphere, you will enjoy the best sunsets from one of our suites or the center courtyard. Casa al Mar is located at the heart of the Malecon where you can walk to restaurants, bars and most places of interest while enjoying a beautiful seaside walk.
I would not recommend this hotel - especially if you are staying on a weekend night - the Malecon is very busy, and local musicians camp outside the windows with their amps turned all the way up. The hotel rooms have a lot of steps- and no railings - so very poorly designed and dangerous. Our room fronted the Malecon - so we moved for the last night, only to find that the other rooms have windows that are open to the patio where the restaurant is located and open until Midnight.?, and also loud. However - if you like to party and stay up late this might be the perfect place for you! The 3 oceanfront rooms do have nice sunset views. Try the Club Baja a few blocks away…

I came to marea La Paz to stay in the glamping which is such a fun concept that allows you to be more in touch with the nature, I woke up hearing the waves it was such a relaxing and magical experience, steps away from my tent we had a private beach that you can easily relax order a drink or food, they also have a private kitchen area with seating, we enjoyed making coffee there each morning plus staff was always super friendly, would definitely come back.

Hotel boutique in the heart of the historic town a few steps from the water front, yet in a quiet area. The rooms are facing our lush garden with palm trees and citrus trees and are individually designed. You will find a peaceful atmosphere, intimate and homely. Its near by restaurants, car rentals, tourist guides and craft sales.
We are writting this review although we couldn't spend the night in the hotel for some travel problems, Nevertheless, for us, as important as the hotel service, is the capability of fixing problems when they appear. And the response of this hotel was 10/10. We had booked one night at this hotel in the middle of our trip in Baja California. We had problems with the transportation means, and arrived around 10 pm. Surprisingly, the hotel was closed and there was no security or a bell to ring. We tried the phone number but nobody answered. We never thought that a HOTEL (not apartments or similar) didn't have any late arrival option, but the truth is that looking to the last page of the hotel conditions, it is written that check-in ends at 9 pm :( This is the bad part o the story. But, when we claimed, the response of the hotel was fast and efficient, understanding our frustation and returning the cost of the night to our credit card. And don't forget to check the check-in time schedule to avoid surprises

A beautiful bed and breakfast with a traditional Mexican vibe. The courtyard with swimming pool and outdoor dining is amazing. Our favorite place to stay in La Paz. On a trendy street with restaurants and coffee shops. A short walk to the Malecon without the noise. TV and Wifi. Lovely breakfast

If you are looking affordable rates to our hotel, you will find the best, because we are a great place to stay in the city of La Paz BCS Hotel Salvatierra we have 18 comfortable guest rooms simple, Suite and double rooms which can be booked online now.
Breakfast really poor, staff really impolite. The rooms are ok but is too expensive for what it is. Internet doesn't work at all. The location is horrible, in this neighbourhood you don't have anything: far from the beach, far from the center and no restaurants around.
