Forget fashionable footwear, only your most comfortable shoes will cut it in Killarney. It's a walking town, and every trail is a history lesson. Journey on foot through Ireland's first national park, 26,000 acres of woodlands, sandstone mountains and low-lying lakes. When your feet wear out, take in Killarney National Park via boat from Ross Castle. And because there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city (besides Dublin), you'll always have a place to rest your head (and feet).

A vibrant and welcoming family-run B&B with exceptional views. Located approximately 10 km (10 min drive) from the popular tourist towns of Killarney and Killorglin, Inveraray Farm looks out over the Gap of Dunloe, MacGillycuddy's Reeks and the mountains of Killarney. Many of our rooms enjoy these mountain views with some also having their own, private entrances. Children can enjoy our outside play area while you can relax in the company of our farm animals and family pets.
We visited Inveraray Farm for one night as part of a few nights in Killarney and it was the best bit of our trip. The views (pictured) from the terrace were breathtakingly beautiful, showing the gap of Dunloe. Jen and Fergal were really kind and helpful hosts, helping us get cash for the local bus and sending us on a lovely walk to a local waterfall. Plus the breakfast was great! Would really recommend staying here and Beaufort is a really nice spot which is easy to get into Killarney from and also right on the ring of Kerry.

In a beautiful location, just 10 minutes' walk from the town centre and Killarney National Park, the eco-friendly Killarney Inn is a charming B&B with free WiFi and parking. Killarney's bus and train station is 25 minutes away from the property on foot, while the Lakes of Killarney are only 15 minutes' walk away. There is plenty to do in the region, including golfing, fishing and hiking. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished, with a TV, radio and en-suite facilities, including a power shower. Some of the rooms also have balconies. A Continental breakfast is available every day and a full Irish breakfast can be requested at an additional cost. There is a selection of bars and restaurants within a 10-minute walking area. This is our guests' favourite part of Killarney, according to independent reviews.
On arrival we were greeted by the nicest girl who loved are dog Zara. The room was extremely nice and warm. Even though it was 4 star for my partner and I, it was 7 star treatment for Zara due to the nicest staff I've ever come across. I would seriously recommend anyone with a dog to go there. We will definitely be back again!! PS. Zara says woof ? and a big lick ?

Stayed for three nights. Located outside Killarney in Fossa but nice area and close to all travel routes. Had a lovely bedroom with balcony at front of property. Very clean and all covid regulations in place , masks in communal areas etc. room was very clean and beds comfortable. Tea/coffee kettle, hairdryer and a smart TV in our room. The breakfasts were the highlight , piping hot and so tasty and plenty of tea and toast. The Vegetarian option was just wonderful. Breakfast 8am or 9am. Hostess was friendly and gave directions, advice and maps to everyone. Might have a bit of road traffic noise if windows open and the odd creaky floors but I like the character of a guesthouse over a hotel any day.

Farmhouse set in a peaceful valley. Large warm comfortable rooms with panoramic views of the mountains, oak forest with red deer. Our area is considered a walkers paradise and of course perfect for riding. Short stroll to Muckross House and the Killarney Lakes.Pet farm avaible to gusts staying and pony rides avaible for small children
We stayed in a family room with two young kids which was plenty big enough for the four of us. The room was also spotlessly clean. The actual location is rural but only a very short drive from Killarney (10 minutes) and about 5 minutes from Muckross House and the surrounding national Park. The grounds of the accommodation are rolling pasture and there are horses running loose in the evening but working or stabled at other times and the kids loved seeing them up close as well as the puppies and rabbits. There is also a small playground that burnt off some energy. The owner Maureen was really nice and cooks one of the best egg and bacon sandwiches I have ever tasted! Maureen also gave us a little tip on where to park for a lakeside beach that was great and led to a wonderful few hours relaxing on the shores of Muckross Lake in glorious sun. I guess the final word is my kids; we have always stayed at Kells Bay in the past but my kids now say Muckross riding stables is their number one Kerry holiday place :-) There is a pony trekking operation just at the end of the lane (under 5 minutes) from the accommodation.

The only reason this place isn't getting one star is because the people working there were so nice and breakfast was decent. The place is so shabby, just not at all anywhere I would stay ,(I didn't book it, it was part of a trip through Intrepid). There was no elevator so I had to carry my bag upstairs (it was in Ireland for weeks so it was heavy). The entire place had really old carpet which did not look clean, especially in my room where it was stained. I wore my socks because rhe carpet was so gross i didnt want to step on it in bare feet. The bed was old and lumpy and the bedding cheap children's bedding (with doughnuts on it inexplicably). The bathroom was tiny and the shower just didn't look clean, also the shower door didnt close all of the way. The bath soap was horrible. The towel was tiny. It was cold one night so I turned on the heat and could smell burning dust which send my allergies into a tailspin so I had to turn it off and just be cold. And to top it all of, it's a little bit of a walk into town. Do yourself a favor and skip this place...opt for a bed and breakfast instead if you don't want to spring for a nice hotel.
