Historic Inn and restaurant. Stay where the likes of The James Gang, Abraham Lincoln, and General George S. Patton have visited. You will find a vast amount of history in this building. Enjoy the world's oldest bourbon bar and eat great southern cooking in our restaurant. Full breakfast is included.
Staying here was a great choice. It is truly in the heart of Bardstown and the history of the town as well. We stayed in one of the newer rooms and were happy with everything. If you are a light sleeper make sure you book a room on the 2nd floor. Everything was nice in the room and easy access to downtown. Parking is a little tough if you don't get lucky and get a spot out front. Even the free breakfast in the morning was good.

As always, homemade cookies, other snacks, soda/bottled water are complementary. Red Rose Inn is conveniently located walking distance of fine dining, shopping, antiques, Around the Town Carriage and local attractions. A short drive will take you to our renowned Civil War Museum, Stephen Foster Outdoor Theater, Old Kentucky Home, Barton, Jim Beam, Four Roses, Willett, Heaven Hill, Lux Row, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Preservation, Maker's Mark, and Log Still Distilleries. There are several wineries, Oscar Getz Whiskey Museum, Abbey of Gethsemani, (Monastery), Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral, Bernheim Arboretum, and the Kentucky Railroad Museum. A special treat is the Kentucky Dinner Train.
We stayed at the Red Rose Inn for a family wedding. David and Susan were the best hosts. They were so attentive, friendly and welcoming. The house is amazing. Very clean and spacious- we had 8 adults and a baby and had more than enough room. The house is so close to downtown and we could walk everywhere. I definitely recommend staying, it felt like home for the few days we were there. Cannot thank David and Susan enough!! I hope to stay again in the future.

I am so happy we were referred here. My partner and I were in town for business. We were sent here by a competitor because they were completely sold out of rooms. When we arrived we were greeted by a warm and courteous front desk clerk who really went out of her way to be kind and helpful. She gave us wonderful suggestions for pictures and explained the hotel layout to us. Our rooms were immaculate, the bathroom was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The jacuzzi tubs were a wonderful amenity and those little welcome ducks made me so happy after a long day of travel. This place was also very affordable! I also enjoyed the toiletries that were included, there were plenty of pillows and towels, a fridge and desk for working. If I ever find my way back to Maysville I will stay here for sure!!

The perfect home away from home!
We stayed at the Bowling Green Main Suites/Sleep Inn on Wednesday, June 8. From start to finish the hotel stay was fabulous. Everything was clean and fresh. The room/bathroom was appealing, clean, and bed linens were beautiful. Beds were so comfortable. Air conditioning controls were working and easily adjustable. We were unable to stay long enough to check out the pool or exercise room, but we hope to be back soon. The front hotel staff individuals were available, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast was well done. Small amenities were thought of and provided. The luggage carts were in great shape.

The room was cheap and still not worth it. Opened the room and the strong smell of smoke hit me. Never asked if we liked smoking or non smoking. With all rooms full could not change, not even sure they have not smoking. The room was outdated and floor was uneven. Bathroom was what you would expect for the price, horrible. Paid for 2 nights and couldn't breath after one day. Woke up next morning (a Saturday) and there was no breakfast even though it was stated at 8 am in the morning. I understand it was cheap but give your guest some options. I paid for 2 nights and just said forget it and drove 6 hours home that night. Never again will I waste my money here.

Booked on booking.com and it stated by Grand Victorian Inn no prepayment, however when booked they charged our account for entire amount. When sent message asking why, no reply. Had to cancel due to family issues and got no refund. When ask why, they said it was a discount price with no refund. Which in the booking it never stated this. They did offer to use it at another time, however we just wanted our money back. They never answered my message as to why they charged our account, but was quick to answer the non refund of our money. PLEASE be careful if you book. Make sure your plans are solid and want be canceling. It looks as tho it's a nice place, probably would recommend as long as you don't have to change plans. Disappointing that money was taken for nothing. Attached the photo from booking.com that shows no prepayment for booking. Don't let this stop you from booking, just be careful.

This hotel is new but, unclean and management did not help in any way. We arrived late and tired. We were glad to get a room but when we got to our room it was not cleaned well. The toilet was not properly cleaned, the surfaces of the sink still had soap scum where the soap was placed. The desk had a sticky residue. The sheets appeared to be clean so we decided to mention the issue to management. The manager would not come out to see us. The reception desk was told to take our information. No response two days later so I called. The manager spoke with me, apologized and said she would compensate us by refunding the room cost. Nothing was done. The breakfast was terrible. The biscuit so hard I could not get a fork of knife through it. The The people at the reception desk were friendly but, that is all I can say.

What a charming B&B. We stayed in The Gatsby Room, which was decorated like something out of the 20's. We had a chance to peek in to the other rooms, each one is decorated in its own unique and charming style. There is a break room with free water, soda, snacks and coffee, as well as a lot of games, books, and DVDs along with a DVD player you can borrow. Breakfast was really good, they served a really good variety, and plenty of it. The (private) bathroom was well stocked with plenty of towels, shampoo and conditioner, etc. And, you are only a few miles from downtown La Grange. I would not hesitate to stay here again, next time I am in the area.
