Our primary objective is to create an environment that is full of joy and bliss. PAPO'A, which means "applause" in Taiwanese, embodies this spirit. The concept materialized in the summer of 2016 when we explored the value and meaning of "home". It is not merely a place to rest the body, but it is also about having an authentic experience by being connected to the local culture. The architectural concrete of the hotel exterior and the industrial interior design reflect the historical impression of Kaoshiung City. Black bricks manufactured by Taiwan's traditional brick factory San He Tile Kiln, established in 1931, embellish the hotel lobby. These bricks are ideal for absorbing odors and emitting ions beneficial to one's health. At the same time, the building's rough texture and warm hues generate a comfortable atmosphere for guests. Moreover, it captures the essence of modern Taiwanese architectural design. We strive to deliver hospitality that reflects traditional southern Taiwanese culture and creates a cozy home for visitors to the hotel.
Not just nice interiors throughout the entire hotel, the numbers of sockets and usb hub is really helpful for travellers. The check-in service was very kind. A bonus is that this hotel is only 10 min walk from a night market that no tourist visit.

Luna's House opens in 2015. All amenities are brand new with the custom star elevator. The interior decoration are cozy and luxuriously exquisite. In the community kitchen, there is free unlimited Starbucks coffee self-served and fresh brewed tea. Transportation is great- MRT five mins away & HSR- 15 mins away. The staff can speak proficient English and offer all kinds of travel information!
Luna's House is really special. It is new and each room has it's own unique theme. Everything is spotless-even the common eating area where you get delicious free coffee in the morning. Steven, the owner, is exceptionally friendly and helpful with every detail. The location is excellent on a quiet street but close enough to walk to the night market. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Kaohsiung.

I was a guest of our hotel in Dec 2019. Because of my study pressure, it is just today that I can write my feelings. When I came in the lobby, it was so cozy !! That is the most appreciating aspect when I stay in a hotel in general and in La Inn in particular. We thoroughly enjoyed the room as well, with sufficient comforts (the soft light, the spacious and clean bed, the airy space, the modern and reasonably-arranged bathroom (I mean the toilet and the shower are separated) and so on). We also had a tasty and satisfying breakfast ? What made it become so enjoyable ? First, it is unforgettable for us to be well served by the enthusiastic waitress. She always smiled and helped us do everything when we faced some issues. Next, the dishes also enhanced our appetite, with traditional ones. We found them delicious! Third, we appreciated the complementary condition of ice cream and soft drinks. If my memory serves me correctly, never in my life have I enjoyed free drinks, free ice cream at a hotel like La Inn. Last but not least, we would like to attach photos of the restaurant due to its beautiful view and cozy interior decoration, which I only want to feel relaxed myself for a long time here. After having checked out, we went sightseeing. Fortunately, when we came back to pick up our baggage, we were extremely happy to find that my sunglasses had been found and kept. I didn’t know that I left it behind, or else, I could have had no chance to wear it anymore. In a nutshell, this hotel is deserved to be introduced and I believe it will fully meet the guests’ demand, not only because of its convenient location (close to the night market and Formosa station), but also its facilities. It was a little pity that we only had a night here and I wish I had stayed here longer to enjoy the overall convinience.

hok house is B&B ideally located in a lovely neighborhood of central downtown area in Kaohsiung. With the BEST location, HOSPITABLE staffs and COMFORTABLE amenities, we are definitely your TOP CHOICE to enjoy Kaohsiung with.
Kaohsiung city is a low-key goldmine of vintage chic and sensuality that spans architecture and culture alike. Hok House hotel, a converted mansion from the Japanese colonial-era, is not only a fine example of this itself in the form of boutique accommodation. But it also functions as a guide, with their own tastefully curated map and handy mobile app, to the constellation of like-minded pleasures in the neighbourhood around Formosa Boulevard MRT—a stone’s throw away from Liu He night market. From the moment of checking-in from the tropical heat, you are greeted by a friendly concierge, dressed in comfy clothes, offering cotton slippers and a cold-brewed oolong tea refreshment. The wood, rattan, and sepia interior furnishings; ambient temperature control; tatami book lounge; community kitchen and, of course, bedroom is inviting and soothing. We booked directly from their website, which unlocks a complimentary breakfast perk. This is will be our first choice of stay next Kaohsiung visit. Highly recommended.

I knew it's gonna be small when I booked, and yeah, really a small room where you open the door and it only took one step in to reach your bed. They provided pajamas and basic toilet amenity. Bathroom and toilet located same level of your room. One thing I like is that they have an shared osen (though not a big one) at 2F for guest to use! Overall, I guess for the price I paid, a good one night stay.

[SINGLEINN」 is a new form of leisure and lifestyle. You can have personal space to watch TV, meditation and rest, You can also exchange of information in the restaurant.
Title. Room is comfortable. It could be little noisy if there are noisy roommates around u. Some facilities in public bath room are so old and dirty. I have visited here for several times since it was open 5 years ago. Still good tho but they should update their facilities sometime

Great hotel. The location is amazing, near to the river on a quiet zone but also close to public transport, restaurants and stores. I loved that they gave us free bycicles. It's a great way to discover the beautiful Kaoshiung. Such a great place! So many things to see! The staff is amazing. They are super warm, kind and attentive. We feel grateful for Jean Wang and Jerry Tung who went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time. The hotel also has a lovely common area, where you have breakfast. They also provide nice free snacks (instant noodles, cookies, juices and even traditional taiwanese ice cream! my favorite was the peanuts flavor... amazing!). The room was big, bright and super clean. Really good experience. For sure I will come again!

About TRA ride from the EMU to get off the train left the old camp, all the way east Shinjo (Hanshin Arena direction) of about 800 meters, turn left to the end, near the Hanshin Arena. About I'm William, like self-help tourism, say since like traveling, why do not they have the ability to create a backpackers who like to travel a clean and comfortable accommodation, so there is the idea of opening B & B, live in their own home away from Kaohsiung Dome R14 MRT old left the camp with the Taiwan Railway station are very close, the consent His wife, began operating a rare experience in this life ...........
The location is in a narrow cul-de-sac lane, in the middle of a mainly residential area, a very homely environment. The owner, Mrs. Liu gave us the main gate key and printed us a street plan of the surrounding area. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Perhaps it is a matter of trust, when we checked out at 10:45 a.m. on 9 Feb. 2015, there was nobody in the premises for us to return the main gate key, so we just left it on a table, then closed/locked the gate when we left. The main drawback is the poor sound insulation, we were woken in the middle of the night by the next room's toilet flush, water tap turn-on-and-off, footsteps, and children's screaming etc. It is also not suitable for wheelchair and/or weak travellers because the rooms are upstairs without lift and you have to climb up and down stairs with your own luggage. It would be a great help if the premises provided at least basic breakfast such as toast and coffee etc. because it is nowhere nearby to provide breakfast.

Odd hotel and the check in is very confusing. See side door if late, walk in, take elevator down, use mobile that is at the desk to reach someone. It is cheap here, good location and walkable. The basics were there.
