Make the port town of Iquitos your base camp for exploring the Peruvian Amazon basin. The river and rainforest are the main attractions, of course, and once in Iquitos it's easy to book a stay at one of numerous nearby jungle lodges. Closer to town, travelers recommend visiting the market and "floating village" of Belen, seeing colorful creatures at the butterfly farm and animal rescue center, and taking a cruise on the great river.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed one night either end of an amazon trip and had a very nice, relaxing couple of nights. We could store our big bags here during the trip too. Breakfast was nice and they provided a takeaway breakfast for us before our early flight. There was tv and air conditioning in the rooms.

The photos in fairness are a little misleading tbh so don't expect anything amazing (search on google you'll find some). When we pulled up the driveway entrance looked so shabby we thought it had closed down tbh. But once you walk up the path and into the reception its all change. With the exception of the pool. The complex and rooms, well one we stayed in, was clean and more than comfortable. We were amazed how there weren't more guests there tbh. It's a little dated tbh but for $40 a night for a twin it's perfectly reasonable. Also as the rooms are off the road it's way better than the city and its noisy transport issues. If you stay in the city realise that road noise is a horror from about 5am. Motor tricycle engines and beeping. The pool was a little rough tbh. If the pumps were working and the water was being filtered then maybe it would be okay. From the managers point of view I can get it. With hardly any guests it may not be cost effective to be maintaining it to a high standard. But of course has an impact on your opinion like ours. The staff were all helpful (well the young guy at reception was and he's all we dealt with) as best they could be. We got a transfer to the airport at 3.30am which was complementary. And I gather collections are dealt with in the same way. I would return here again if I visit Iquitos but much to my horror it's a place that was way off what I imagined it would be (Iquitos city). It's for the most part a pretty crappy city but of course it's the doorway to the jungle which is stunning. FYI from the hotel to the city, which is about 15mins, it will cost you 4 soles on one of these noisy motor tricycle things.

Preis-Leistung top.

Our last night in Iquitos My wife and I wanted a hotel 'down town' so we could do some shopping before we had to fly out early the next morning. That we couldn't get a room with a normal double bed could be excused because we didn't make a reservation, so this is not their fault. During check-in we asked if we could get a breakfast at 6:30 (half an hour earlier than normal) because of the time of our flight, and got a positive reply: "no problem, I'll tell the right people." Our first problem came when we entered the room (109): there is no way fresh air can enter this room: there is no window or air vent. There is an "airco", but this only had 2 settings: freezing and moving hot air. Second point: They offered us a room with 2 beds, and we thought we might pull them together. This is not so comfortable when the beds have different heights. we think this at least was not well thought through. Off course we wanted to take a shower: the screw from the hot water tab was removed, so there was only cold water to take a shower. This might have been a point i could get over, if the water was clean. But apparently they use 'natural' water: this is brought in from the river, I later found out. Yes, it is filtered, but far from clean. Off course we wanted to sleep at night, but some bright mind in the staff decided that 11 o'clock was a nice time to start the laundry. This apparently has to be combined with a loud radio... The room that's used for this is next to room 109, so we could forget a normal night of sleep. When we asked to stop this noise, so we could sleep, the answer was that the machine was started and could not be stopped. Bye bye sleep. Due to what already happened, we were already a little skeptic about our chances on a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. Our fears were conformed: No breakfast, not even a chance on a cup of coffee or tea. And if you think you can make an official complaint: the 'libro de reclamaciones' was missing, and restitution was so difficult that the boss should be called. He would be in around 11:00. This was even later than our plane landed in Lima, so we lost enough money and a normal night of sleep on our last day in Iquitos to put a black mark on an otherwise beautiful vacation.

Our travel agent booked us 3 double rooms here at the last minute, for 4 adults and 2 children. When we arrived, we saw that the double rooms all had a double bed and a single bed, making the third room unnecessary. The desk clerk was unimpressed with our request to simply stay in 2 rooms, because he argued that he would not be able to rent out the third one, but eventually agreed to give us only 2 - at s./200 instead of s./180 per room, cash only, paid in full up front. We were not very pleased with this, especially after the hotel had failed to send the promised transportation to pick us up at the airport and seemed completely disinterested in helping us when I called them from the airport to ask about transportation. We had finally resorted to taking mototaxis instead of waiting for some help from the hotel. However, once we were settled in we quite enjoyed the hotel. It was nice to have the double + single beds in each room, the rooms were spacious, and the air conditioning worked well. Soap and shampoo were provided, along with nice towels, and the showers were warm if not hot. I might not choose to stay here again, if other options were available, but it was perfectly acceptable.

I booked this hotel not thinking too much of it. It is a small hotel, after all. We just needed a place to sleep and take a hot shower after spending a few days in the Amazon Jungle. I left a remark under comments that we were on a plant-based diet (vegan). To our surprise, they prepared a vegan breakfast just for us.

Yolanda and her husband will do everything possible to ensure you enjoy your stay with them. When we went to dinner, they hailed our tuktuks, negotiated with the drivers, made sure we had their phone numbers in case we had any issues while out, and were waiting for our arrival back that evening. The rooms are very comfortable with good beds and modern bathrooms. The whole property is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Please do not think the lower price of this property is an indication of substandard accommodations. We almost cancelled as we had second thoughts that it would not meet our expectations. So glad we didn’t cancel. Absolutely everything was wonderful and if I ever return to Iquitos, this is where I would stay again. The location a little distance away from the center of town was not an issue. The tuktuk to popular restaurants (Al frio al fuego and Bucanero - highly recommended) was only 3-5 soles and a few minutes and an experience in itself.

We are a young hotel, started operations in March 2015 We are very proud to be Peruvian and we are extremely pleased to welcome; we want you to feel at home and share with you our knowledge of the city and the Amazon jungle. All rooms are located on the back of the hotel, facing courtyard off our city. You may rest peacefully. Our complimentary services include transfer from the airport/hotel/airport, breakfast and WiFi.
For 110 soles for a double bed per night is a damn good deal. Neatness is above average, AC is very cool, location is perfect, staffs is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is lovely, beautiful garden, TV is decent with a lot channels, free airport pick up. Would prob come back if I come to Iquitos! :)
