Gazing over the English Channel, Hastings mixes black-tarred fishing huts with pebbly shores, Victorian architecture, and artsy shops that together draw boho travelers and families in search of seaside vacations. With a maritime museum, castle ruins, and a notable battle site, it’s also rich in history.

Affordable Stylish Guest House located in the centre of Hastings offering a choice of rooms or apartments. Just minutes for the beach, train station, restaurants and shops Number 46 is one of the best places to stay in Hastings.
We had a most pleasurable stay here 8th-9th June. Apart from ticking all the boxes, very clean, favourable location with close proximity to the beach and the shops/Old town, the breakfast was excellent.I had the full English and my wife the Vegetarian which I could easily have had myself. The staff went the extra mile on disclosure of my wife's birthday during breakfast and they promptly lit a few candles followed by a chorus of Happy birthday which really made her day.We had a lovely spacious room over looking the garden and the whole place has a tasteful and tranquil decor. Will deinitely going back.

Hastings House a gorgeous seaside Boutique Hotel it is a beautifully designed Bed & Breakfast … one thing is for certain … it is truly an unexpected pocket of style and "5 star" luxury with a character all of its own that guarantees a completely relaxed and indulgently comfortable stay in St. Leonards-on-Sea.
After our initial booking elsewhere fell through at the last minute, we had to search quickly for an alternative venue and stumbled across Hastings House. We could not have been more fortunate. Ian and Beverly were incredible hosts and everything hit the spot - from the food and service, to the quality of the rooms. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality B&B in Hastings - and would like to thank Ian and Beverly for everything they did at such short notice

We live in a fully restored late Victorian family house, and delight in welcoming guests to the period atmosphere we have created. We pride ourselves on a meticulous attention to detail, and have tried to recreate the style of living of the 1880s. You will find this a very distinctive and characterful place to stay.
Stay here for a Victorian experience. Walking into this house is like stepping back in time. The house has been reinstated to its 19th century splendour in every minute detail. The sheer amount of Victoriana and Edwardiana is mesmerising. Great breakfast served in period perfect breakfast room.

A beautiful house and gardens in the Victorian seaside resort of St. Leonard’s. Including grand characterful bedrooms with garden views and separate private bathrooms. Locally sourced breakfast will be served to the room.
Spent the night here last night and all I can say is that you need to pay them a visit. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the furnishings are luxurious. Breakfast was delicious and because of the quality, I assume it was sourced locally. It really was a shame that we only spent one night here. I am going to make it my mission to visit again!

Black Rock House is a luxury Bed and Breakfast offering boutique accommodation in the heart of Hasting on the Sussex Coast, close to historic Battle and Rye. Black Rock House B&B Hastings is a beautifully restored Victorian villa with sea views centrally located within a few minutes of the beach, town centre, and Hastings Old Town.
Just came home from 4 days at Black Rock House. The owner(Vincent) is a world class host, a true English/Belgian gentleman with a great humor that want his guests to have the best treat. A rare and fantastic surprise. Don't miss this place if going to Sussex, it's a must like Sissinghurst and Parham.

Anne's House is a peaceful B&B in the heart of Hastings offering a warm welcome and two well appointed, en-suite bedrooms in a beautifully restored Victorian home with views across Linton Gardens to the castle and the sea. Close to Hastings pier and within easy walking distance of both Hastings Old Town and St Leonards, Anne’s House makes an ideal base from which to explore.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. We were offered tea in the garden as soon as we arrived. We admired the roses and basked in the sun. The hosts gave us good recommendations for our evening and we returned to find reference books that would shape the rest of our trip. The hourse is incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated with an artistic eye. Our breakfast was delicious. We ate a lot and didn't regret it. Because our party booked both rooms we were able to see both and they are equally attractive. The turret room has a fine mermaid and shell accent if you are feeling more seaside-ish. The hosts have a wide range of interests and it was east to connect with them. They were so charming and helpful.

one of the ‘clean’ folded towels left for us was dirty!!! only enough hot water for one of us to shower. shower door doesn’t shut properly. shower leaks out onto bathroom floor. Bathroom stinks of smoke and I have asthma. no hand wash only shampoo left out in half empty bottles so used by previous people. mattress was WELL used, had springs sticking out and was squashed down and very uncomfortable. moved a chair and it fell apart in my hands. was generally dirty everywhere. Lock on the rooms door was broken and twisted. Curtains don’t shut properly. I would not stay here again! The only good thing is that there is free parking and the location.
