NamoBuddha Resort is 45 km East of Kathmandu, surrounded by its own organic farm and forest. We are located at the top of a hill (1800 m) and when the weather is clear, guests can see awesome views of the Himalayas. We offer three sizes of accommodation: Small,Medium and Large can accommodate up to 30 guests. All house we have an electric heater and access of wireless internet. Our spacious LASHO HALL provides for yoga, seminars, workshops or retreats. We have sauna and flotation tank for relaxation. In our wood burning stove we bake fresh German sourdough bread and pastries. We serve organic food on our fixed vegetarian menu. The resort has its own cows, water buffalo for milk and dairy products, homemade jam from different types of local fruits. Namobuddha Stupa is half an hour in walking distance and there are numbers of day hikes around resort.
Namobuddha was a great overnight stop on my hike from Panauti to Dhulikhel. The rooms are in cute little houses dotted around the gardens. There was a loo and wash basin in my room, but the shower was in a block. Not really a problem for me. The vegetarian evening meal was served communally, but breakfast was available any time next morning. Tea and coffee always on tap. Wi-Fi so-so (prone to dropping out). There’s a distinct lack of power points - only one in the room in a really inconvenient place unless you have super long cables!

Tashidhalek Guest House was the first Guest House in the village of Bhattidada, located 20 min walk from Dhulikhel, on the way to the very famous Buddhist Stupa of Nammobudda. Bhattidada is a very quiet and beautiful village, where many Tamang families are living, many farms and beautiful views on Himalayas. You can enjoy the view from most of the rooms and from the terrace and the rooftop of Tashidhalek guesthouse. Prem Lama, the owner, is a very sympathetic, and open minded man, holding a genuine sincerity which is quiet unusual in the tourism industry nowadays. He is an excellent trekking guide. He is also the fundator of the community school of this village, that was built 10 years ago with the financial help of a British couple. Prem's family lives in the house near the GH and it is a real pleasure to share their daily life and seeing the villagers filling their jugs of water from the source nearby.
It’s beautiful to wake up and look at the sunrise from the window. You can see the sunset and the sunrise. The food is very nice and the family is very welcoming. The style is simple. Definitely would go back!

Lovely family run guest house. Nothing to do up here unless you’re planning visiting elsewhere. Quiet, clean air. Organic food. Lovely rooms, great bed. Family are inspirational with big social conscience. Akash is a genius at sorting out everyone’s needs. Dining room uninspiring and it is a long way from towns.

I liked the food and the room considering budget. Overall experience for a single night stay was awesome even though due to weather, couldn't get to see himalayan views, had the weather been clear, it would add up to the good experience that we had. I rate 5.

We booked our regional Nurses' conference (India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh) here the end of October 2019 for around 50 people. The setting is breathtaking, even when the mountains are hiding. The rooms are large, have big glass windows towards the mountains, an electric kettle ( :) ) and hot water for showers. The dining area is roomy and accommodated our group easily. There is a fireplace and sitting area in one corner which is wonderful for hanging out with friends. The food was simple, healthy and delicious! Several of our group couldn't have rice and the management were very accommodating and made them chapattis for every meal. The conference room was a good size for our group. Apart from a bit of trouble with extension cords being temperamental, and the carpet being a bit worn and a tripping hazard, the conference room met our needs well. All in all, the Dhulikhel Village Resort was a great conference venue. I would definitely come here again with a group, but also for a personal holiday with family or friends. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time living with a Tamang family in a typical hill village just outside the Kathmandu valley. Unlike in a hotel or guesthouse you'll get to see what life in a Nepali village is really like, from waking up with the cockerels at dawn to sharing fresh homegrown food around the fireplace in the evenings.
