Reviewed By omblineI've been to Beit Chames last year already, but I cannot but confirm the other opinions about the hotel : this place is a gem ! Central location, great value, nice facilities ( US-style kitchen, free Wi-Fi, satellite channels), clean and cosy. I've spend quite some time in Damascus and have never found anything like this. Besides, Sameh, the owner, is a true gentleman and the most honest person ever. Go for it.

Reviewed By milkyfreshI really love this boutique hotel in Damascus. Its located in the old town of Damascus. (5 min walk to Umayyad Mosque) The price includes the ''wonderful'' breakfeast. The Staff were extremely helpful and Kind. There are 8 rooms (with 8 different flower names) The rooms are beautifully furnished..just perfect!

A Nice Spot in the Middle of Damascus
Reviewed By PhoenixTheSyrianI stayed one night at Armitage Hotel. I love the view from upper floors. I love the cafe downstairs. The studios are smaller than they should be. The breakfast is good. The staff are nice. I had a problem with the safe box, but they solved it after a couple of hours.

Reviewed By WWWorkerBeware! I attempted to book the Al Jour hotel over the internet. Alarm bells should have rung when I discovered that their website: www.beit-al-joury.com is not longer working as they had not renewed their subscription. However, I found another site, and asked if they had any rooms free. They replied that evening in the positive and I replied to their email booking a room. No response. As the number on their website is out of order (alarm bell two!) I could not ring them. I then used the website enquiry form again and received a reply - after we had left for Damascus -saying they had no rooms. It appears that this hotel has technical problems. So book well in advance and make sure they confirm! ....and us? we ended up at the Beit Zaman on Straight Street - a beautiful place; excellent location and with very helpful staff.

Very nice authentic restored rooms and beautiful courtyard where you can relax and enjoy an excellent breakfast, with local specialities.Very dedicated manager who makes you feel at home and speaks perfect French and English.Very friendly staff. A charming hotel we can recommend anyone. A little remark : you do not get a key of the frontdoor so you have to ring always the bell, but this can day and night without any problems and also gives a safe feeling.

Такой отель из кино, типа гранд Будапешт. Только война изнасиловала страну и сейчас все в разрухе. Ценник 160$ за шесть ночей. Очень прилично. Сервиса не ждите. Только ночевать. Удобный район
