Not worth the price.
Reviewed By Ericdmc85Paid for a superior room, the rooms are more or less the same as the standard rooms, except on the second level. Was given the 2nd room from the right on the 2nd floor. Comparing to the other rooms (doors were left open when they were vacant), there is a big difference between some of the rooms. Ours was not so nice at all. Also, if you book in advance, you will pay more, the price drop substantially a few days before arriving, but we had already paid. I would say the hotel is overpriced based on the room I stayed in.

Reviewed By Marijn vI visited Carolina in Oktober and decided to stay at Pousada Do Lajes. Because of the time of year it was really quit and there weren't a lot of other guests. The rooms are nice with a mini bar. In my room there were 3 beds (2 single and a queen size). The room is really simple but good. The pool is nice, but the complex is next to a road so you have some cars going by. On the other side of the road there is a good restaurant. Because of the time of year you had to order every day besides sundays (buffet), it is really affordable (25 reais) and the owners are really nice. Breakfast at Pousada do Lajes is really good with some fresh bread and juices. I really enjoyed staying here. And it is really easy to reach.

Passeio p/ as Cachoeiras da Prata e São Romão
Reviewed By JaquelinececNão fiquei hospedada no Rancho das Estrelas (nome atual), mas ele foi o ponto de partida p/ o passeio dentro do Parque Nacional da Chapada das Mesas, onde visitamos a Cachoeira da Prata e São Romão. O Neuton, dono da pousada e da Rancho Aventuras, conduziu o nosso passeio da melhor forma possível: com muita informação, segurança e amor pelo que faz e pelo lindo local em que vive. Conhecemos as cachoeiras nos melhores horários, na contra mão do fluxo maior de pessoas (era um sábado do mês de julho, então tinha um pouco mais de gente visitando que o habitual), almoçamos uma comidinha muito bem feita no fogão a lenha na Cachoeira da Prata, andamos de caiaque com bastante segurança e muita aventura até debaixo da queda da Cachoeira São Romão. Sem contar a interação com os moradores do parque, paramos na volta p/ experimentar um requeijão caseiro fresquinho e tomar um café numa casa local, tudo muito genuíno e gratificante, com respeito à rotina e ao modo de viver dos moradores. Na minha próxima ida à Carolina, certamente será tb a minha opção de hospedagem, o Rancho é muito bonito e os donos extremamente simpáticos e atenciosos!
