Excellent hotel with colonial style

What a great hotel this is. The room had character, style and was spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the aircon as quite I've ever seen. Great bathroom and tea making facilities. You can see the sea from the terrace. Breakfast in the cafe next door was also good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay for a night while in Belize City

Reviewed By karynb868

We stayed here the night before our flight left to go back to the states and it was a great little place! The food was good - just order ahead since it may take a little while because they have a small staff and it is made from scratch. The pool is great and staff is accommodating. My daughter left her her headphones at the hotel when we left for the airport and they drove them to us! We were only there one night and did not have a car to go off property. If you are going to stay longer you would need a vehicle as there is nothing close by the property.

Wonderful B&B

We stayed in the King Suite, which was on the ground floor. A very comfortable & spacious room. The B&B looks like an estate in Tuscany. Amazing! Becky and Robert are such warm & gracious hosts, and Becky is an outstanding cook. Every meal was delicious. Our primary interest was bird watching and Robert provided a very helpful guiding service. We hope to return soon!

Worst Hotel Experience Ever! Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Reviewed By jacquelinetG2211RD

The room was dirty, bug infested and bleak. The beds did not even have a top sheet - just a bottom sheet and a dirty bedspread! We also rented a car from them - when we got to the car we found it absolutely filthy inside and out. When we asked for a different car, we were told there were no other cars available. As we had an appointment, we took the car as is. It was dead empty of gas and every single light in the dash was on. The brakes squealed as they were shot and the front end of the car felt like it was going to drop out! What a nightmare. When we returned, shaken to the hotel and asked to speak with the owner - he initially refused to talk to us and when he finally did he told us that Belize is a third world country and we should expect that kind of car. A total disaster and I want to warn all other unsuspecting customers to run, not walk away from a stay at The Best Time Inn, Belize!

Golden Tree Hotel

What a nightmare

Reviewed By Rhoda G

Needing to be in the city due to a serious family emergency, we considered staying at Golden Tree in Belize City as it was 3 minutes from the hospital. Buggest mistake ever...the owner showed us two rooms and both were exactly as bad as the other...We literally stayed for 15 minutes and decided we would never be able to sleep. The bathroom had a glass wall with an old and poorly hung shower curtain to cover the wall...no soap, no toilet paper, splattered walls and mirror, doors were filthy. We asked for our money back and got it...went to another hotel 15 minutes away and stayed comfortably. Not sure how this hotel is even in business much less Gold Standard Certified!

Ghost town hotel

1 out of 5. Let’s start with the fact I’ve seen one employee at all and that was on check in. There is no one to get food from the kitchen here but it says they are serving from 6-11. Need water or something else good luck should have brought it. Do you need to find something, good luck should have brought it. Doors don’t shut all the way either.
