We endeavour to make your stay at Lochinver Guest House a relaxing and enjoyable one. Each room has either en-suite or private facilities.
I really enjoyed my stay. The guest house is set in a peaceful, leafy part of the town and had all the facilities you could need. The room was bright and spotlessly clean, with a massive comfy bed which I was sad to leave behind! The room had all that you could need, including a walk in wardrobe, nice en-suite and coffee/tea area including a china cup and saucer. The staff were also lovely and genuinely helpful. I had paid £6 for an options breakfast and expected it to be continental for that price - but a full cooked breakfast was on offer, as well as variations such as Eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. A central buffet area complimented this with cereals, yoghurt and fruit. Really couldn’t fault the place and was most impressed. Very good value all round.

10/10. Best bed and breakfast I've stayed in. Would highly recommend. Trying to book a local hotel in the area but everywhere was booked up. This bed and breakfast was a great find. Much better than any hotel I would have got. If I'm ever out this way again I know where I'll be staying. The place is spotless, the bed is comfy and the breakfast is outstanding.

I only stayed the one night but Alison was Brilliant and couldn’t do enough for me. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The effort Alison went to in order to prepare breakfast for me at the time I wanted was amazing. A great stay!

We visited Ayr for the races and stayed at The Burnside for two nights. The guesthouse is in a peaceful location 10 minutes walk from the centre of town but very near the coast, in fact we stayed in the room at the top of the house and witnessed beautiful sunsets over the Isle of Arran. The house is spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, linen sheets and great pillows! Breakfast was promptly served and delicious. Thank you Paul

Typical ending to a holiday, we got stranded in Ardrossan due to boat cancellation. We stayed at The Portmann Hotel kilmarnock and it was so handy. Extremely reasonably priced accomodation, fantastic food (I think My partner fell in love with the salt & chilli chicken) and lovely freshly decorated rooms! They even offer assistance to the boat if needed. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely be back for a meal aswell!
