Outstanding setting with breathtaking views of Pico Bonito National Park and Cangrejal River. Walking distance access to hiking trails, river rafting. Awesome birdwatching opportunities, unsurpassable Honduran hospitality provided on site by owners. Private rooms with terrace, lovely tropical gardens. Truly a setting that will generate pleasant memories you will cherish!
John and his wife Soledad are the best hosts you could ever ask for! The property is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. The location is perfect as many activities are within walking distance. Also, John always offered us free rides to meals and activities. The breakfasts (included at no charge) and meals we had were incredible at a very fair price. We stayed in both Roatan and the b&b and honestly wished we spent more time in La Ceiba as there were so many activities to do in the area and the scenery is just second to none.

There is a cool freshwater pool and heaps of hammocks for your relaxation but also jungle trails on the lodge grounds for you to explore. In our Restaurant "La Jungla" we try to serve the freshest, most organic and healthiest food possible. Come and enjoy the relaxed and chilled atmosphere of the lodge and start your outdoor adventures from here: rafting, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, MTB, animal- and bird- watching.... tours from a half to 21 days! Join us in nature!
If you are in the La Ceiba area of Honduras or spending your vacation on the island of Roatán you should definitely visit Omega Jungle Lodge. It is a tropical paradise. Their property is an exotic botanical garden and it’s surrounded by a mountainous rainforest. If you love nature you’ll love Omega. We visited Omega for a day trip. We took the ferry from Roatán to La Ceiba in the morning and came back to Roatán in the late afternoon. We were planning on a walking tour but it was a rainy day so the Omega gave us a tour of the area in one of their vehicles. Udo, the owner, was our guide. He is an expert on local nature. We learned a lot. Udo and his wife, Silvia, are Germans who came to the rainforest over 20 years ago. Over that span of time they created this magnificent lodge and tour business. They offer rafting trips, horseback riding, and guided hikes. They also offer excellent meals. Their lodge is gorgeous. They showed us some of their rooms. They are stunning. You can look out the windows to see toucans and other colorful birds flying by. Unfortunately we did not plan to spend the night there. We wish we had.

The title says it all. Great rooms reasonably priced cleaned, with AC and hot water. Walking distances from the beach and town center. AMAZING view from the top floor patio. And possibly the best cheese burger in Honduras. Sorry for the terrible photo of grody dudes but the important part is the view.

Our B&B is located in the rain forest just 20 min. outside La Ceiba; we border the Pico Bonito National Park. All our rooms have private bath and hot water and wireless internet connection. The house is built entirely out of river rock which keeps the rooms a fantastic cool temp (allowing us all to live comfortably without using air conditioning). The fresh water creek behind our house is a wonderful place to relax. There are an abundance of activities to keep you busy - rafting, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, canopy tours and lagoon tours. Breakfast is included and is international cuisine, fresh squeezed juices and fruit. We now have 2 fully furnished one bedroom apartments, located just a 5 min walk from the B&B on our Hobby farm.
Easy airport transfer, charming B&B, yummy breakfast, comfortable and spacious rooms, & wonderful host/owner-Karen, all made for a fabulous stay at this B&B. Three minute walk to Omega Tours (White water rafting him and waterfall tours) made this the perfect choice. We highly recommend this place and will be back in a couple of months for another R&R stay.

Just came back from a 2 week visit and had the most relaxing days of my year. The beach is the best, no rocks, bathwater this time of the year but still a nice swim! Peace and quiet at night with only a ceiling fan needed to stay cool. Cool places to visit ll within 5 mins., even a fresh waterfall and pools which are very private! Coming back in December for sure!

Hotel located in the city center , easy access.
Stayed here for one night after we took the Hedman Alas bus from Guatemala to La Ceiba. We arrived at 1030pm and the receptionist was out there waiting for us (he heard our taxi approach) and therefore the welcome was quick and warm and we were showed to our rooms quickly, which is exactly what you want after a 17 hour bus ride! The room is cosy, super clean and the toilets had everything we needed. For what little we paid, I think we got a lot more out of our stay here. The staff were kind, friendly and always ready to accommodate our needs.

A small but cozy hotel in the zona viva of the city facing the Caribbean sea.
My husband and I stay at La Casa de Nery every time we visit La Ceiba. If you are seeking peace, tranquility, and total solitude away from it all, you can beat La Casa de Nery. This establishment is centrally located in La Ceiba along the sea with access to local restaurants, and nightlife. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a warm smile by the owner, family, and staff. The grounds a truly breathtaking with the beautiful trees, plants, swimming pool, and peacocks. We always rent the same bungalow which faces the swimming pool and the sea. I always look forward to the wonderful breakfast that is served on the porch of our bungalow every morning while to wonderful cleaning crew tidy our sleeping quarters. We will always be loyal to La Casa de Nery when visiting La Ceiba because the owner takes privacy very seriously of his clients…which is what my husband and I expect and appreciate.

We stayed here with the intent to stay two nights. Rooms were Ok but most of the 8 rooms had no water pressure in the bathroom. The restaurant was pretty good considering it’s size—complimentary breakfast was very crowded but the food was good. Service was average in both quality and time. They did refund the second night fees after we told them of the water issue. We didn’t stay the second night. I may give them another try based on other reviews. I do recommend the apartment style rooms. They had the best water pressure and were very spacious—just old but clean.

We stayed at Hotel El Dorado for one night en route to Utila. It was located a short 10min walk from the Cristina bus terminal and a 20 minute taxi ride from the ferry wharf. The rooms are very spacious with a separate living/dining room in addition to the bedroom and ensuite. The bedroom had a flatscreen tv with cable, including a few English speaking stations. There was also air conditioning in the bedroom which worked very well. The wifi signal was good and there was also free drinking water in the reception area. One staff member spoke English. There is a Chinese restaurant in the same complex. This is a great low cost option when in La Ceiba.
