Skopelos (Greek: Σκόπελος) is a Greek island in the western Aegean Sea. Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region. Skopelos is also the name of the main port and the municipal center of the island. The other communities of the island are Glossa and Neo Klima (Elios). The geography of Skopelos includes two mountains over 500 m (1,640 ft); Delphi (681 m/2,234 ft) in the center of the island, and Palouki (546 m/1,791 ft) in the southeast. With an area of 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) Skopelos is slightly larger than Mykonos (85 km/33 sq mi) and Santorini (73 km/28 sq mi). The nearest inhabited islands are Skiathos to the west and Alonissos to the east.

Park down near restaurants . Walk just 100 yards back up the hill towards Skopelos a dirt road winds up to the right not suitable for cars . Nice approx half hour walk each way . Meandering through the forest on good wide track (see satellite map heading anti-clockwise about half of the trail) . Several vantage spots to see our goal a real photo opportunity called "Three trees "on the headland surrounded by turquoise sea . Deep gorge if you have passed it .Double back into the little paths in the woods as not signposted . Worth the view alone. Well recommended followed by lunch or a drink back in Agnontas . I've been coming back to “my” lovely Panormos bay for four years… Like I said, Panormos beach is for me one of the most beautiful beaches on Skopelos, where I spent a wonderful holiday every time I come. Crystal clear sea, not too many tourists (in June and September), most beautiful views in the morning, when the beach is still “empty” and the sea is calm like an oil and in the evening when the tourists leave and you can watch perfect sunsets...Place to run away from daily routine, work just or at least for one week in the year. Don't expect loud music, stands with souveniers, T shirts etc…

Crystal clear water and lots of fish! ???????????? Beautiful spot - very peaceful just the sound of the cicadas and the sea. If you’re getting a bus it’s a longish walk from the road (and back up again). Definitely need beach shoes as slippery stones getting in

This was a great beach as its right in the north of the island with a pretty rough road from Glossa to negotiate to get there. It has served parasols and loungers for €7 a couple and with a small bar at the car park for sun downers at the end of the day. Well sheltered with high cliffs from east breezes its well worth the effort to get to.

If you go to Stafylos beach..just keep walking. Behind the rocks you will find one of the most amazing beaches on Skopelos. Clean, good beach bar and not crowed in July. 2 sunbeds+ umbrella for 7€. Bring a book and relax all day

There are a lot of beaches on the island of Skopelos. As expected many of them are filled with tourists. Neo Klima/Elios has fewer tourists and more locals. It is a clean and safe beach. It is very nice for families. There are several activities which operate our of this beach including Kayaking (Sea Kayak Center of Skopelos with Yvonne and Neil) and Standup Paddle Boarding with Shane. It is not far from the village of Glossa. You can take a taxi or the bus. Taxis are very affordable on the island. It costs about 10 Euro from the Glossa taxi stand to the beach. We used Jimmy (Tsaknis Dimitrios) almost exclusively. He lived in Canada for a number of years and is fluent in both English and Greek. +30 6978 025 718 (Tell him Tom and Linda recommended him). Since the beaches on Skopelos are primarily rocks rather than sand, I recommend swim/water shoes. As everywhere on the island, the water is totally clear. You can see the bottom of the sea even standing up on a paddle board, kayaking, and swimming.

Arrived here on the Flying Dolphin at the start of our holiday and we said that we must go back there. Caught the local bus which is always fun. The beach is mainly pebble and shingle with a few eating places. It's a very deep yet calm harbour. There is not a lot there but what it has to offer is it's Greece and lovely.

While exploring Skopelos we came across Apenemo restaurant and beach bar on Limnonori beach. Great location, lovely Greek food, always good to beach hop and explore the island.
