Beautiful area and nice marina to rent boats and scenery shows damage from Hurricane still to date. Located Dutch side and viewing the French side as well. Goats and other animals walk the hills and area around

Located at the end of Maho Bay and also very close to the airport where airplanes fly right above the beach.
For those with an adventurous spirit, you have to visit the world famous Malo Beach. I wanted to experience the close landing jets and more importantly the jet blast of takeoffs...a bucket list item! Powerful blasts are few and far between since many were hurt and from what we heard, some killed. We waited several hours and saw many low flying jets. As for take-offs: We knew we were in for a trouble when the pilot waived at us as he readied the jet for take-off. He gave full thrust and we were instantly tossed like rag dolls. Apparently this does not happen often any longer since some died. “Get hammered by a jet engine at the St. Marteen airport blast fence ✔️.” Overjoyed!

Great beach with amazing snorkeling. If you’re there on a cruise it’s only $5 per person each way. You can rent two chairs and an umbrella for $15. Snorkeling is best off two the left along the rocks and steep rock wall. Great variety of fish. Beach is fabulous with a sandy bottom in most places. Variety of stuff to rent for fun

We enjoyed chairs and an umbrella on our day at Great Bay Beach. Kids and parents enjoyed the calm waters, there were many activities you could do. Mom slipped off for a little shopping. Picked up Subway for an affordable lunch. Neat to watch the water taxis, jet skis and cruise ships in the area.

My family and I had such a fun day at this beach! We were staying on the island and had friends come in for the day on a cruise ship; we were all able to meet at Divi Beach and had a great time. There are chairs and umbrellas available to rent, water sports for the kids when they want more than to play in the ocean, and there are several restaurants (and bathrooms) right on the beach! If you don't feel like leaving the soft, sandy beach when you want food and/or drinks, there is also a server walking around taking orders.

If you're looking for a beach that's quiet but not totally secluded, Cupecoy is a good choice. Its white sands are backed by low sandstone cliffs that have been eroded in such a way that they provide a run of small semiprivate coves.
My wife and I enjoyed a sunny day on the Eastern section of Cupecoy. We parked in the dirt lot next to Sapphire Beach Club (Google Maps lists as Cupecoy Public Parking). It's a short walk to the beach from there. New concrete stairs make getting down to the beach easy. This portion of Cupecoy is about 1/10th of a mile long. Coves in the cliff allow for privacy and shade (plenty of room to find the perfect spot). Nude remains an acceptable option on Cupecoy, so we were not surprised to see several sans the suit. There are no restrooms nor food/beverage options on this portion of Cupecoy, so come prepared. We drove down to Danny's later (located closer to the roundabout). It was late enough in the day that we parked for free near the bar. A quintessential beach bar, Dannys has license plates nailed to the ceiling, wooden beach stools and that very cool caribbean vibe. The rum punch and Danny's homemade Guava Berry rum were delicious. Danny himself was super friendly. Service was great. With $2 beers, no need to bring a cooler on future trips. This part of the beach is usually more rocky, but favorable tides have dumped a lot of sand there lately. While the larger beach can be enjoyed at Danny's, it's a very short walk from the bar (back towards the East) to the stairs that lead to the caves (which we decided to save for a future trip). We enjoyed our day at Cupecoy and highly recommend it.

We love this little beach. It sits across from the Villas at Simpson Bay. You can rent paddle boards, paddle boats and other water sport things, or enjoy some amazing food (a good variety of vendors along one side of the beach). It's white-sand perfection without the crowds.
