Lovely beach, easily reachable by train from Hamburg Hbf. The train takes you within a couple of blocks of the beach. Very convenient. Beside a nice beach, lots of "Strandkörbe" and a great place to swim and play in the ocean, there are lots of restaurants, Eiscafés, and lots of tourist type shops to find your perfect souvenir. Lots of fun activities for the kids as well from trampoline to a big wooden ship to climb around in. Meanwhile the adults can watch the big ships come and go in and out of the harbor. Both modern and very old lighthouses complete the excursion.

Truly paradise. The beach is gigantic in terms of dimensions. Perfect to walk into any directions. Quite a long walk over the bridge to get there but it’s absolutely worth it. Suggest you wear a suitable outfit as the wind on the seaside can be very strong. Lovely fresh air is priceless:-)
