I found Cabo da Roca to be beautiful and the ocean crashing against the cliffs. There are some hiking trails to explore, well worth the trip out here.

Lying at the foot of the Sintra hills and facing the Atlantic, this superb beach is not only ideal for wind surfing but also board surfing due to the large breakers.
Guincho beach is truly beautiful and unspoiled, pretty much deserted out of season and a must for die hard windsurfers. The water is super cold and tricky, lots of powerful currents and big waves at times. During the season there are life guards in some of the beaches but out of season no, so if you feel adventurous and go for a swim proceed with great care. Or just sit and look and the sea, it is SO amazingly beautiful. Unforgettable sunsets guaranteed too! Big sand dunes and great walks nearby, namely one which starts roughly opposite Fortaleza do Guincho (big yellow building, old fortress) with wood paths to walk on and beautiful meandering paths providing stunning views. Not to miss!

A long and beautiful beach flanked by spectacular cliffs, it sure makes for a great walk...at the end (or the beginning, depending on your starting point) there's also a viewpoint, accessible by wooden steps, simply amazing!

Have been coming to Luz for 15 years and never tire of it. The beach is great for children and adults alike, water sports hire etc. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe's which make Luz an all round great holiday destination. Can't wait to be back there.

Came with the family and we had a great day. The beach is quite big with plenty of space for everyone to be well over 2m apart due to covid19. Parking wasn't an issue, we arrived around 11 and there was lots of space, at least during weekdays on vacation. Lots of surfers here as it's a hotspot for surfing. Water is a bit cold, not that bad really, but once you get in you're good. Highly recommended, will come again!

First time here and we were pleasantly surprised by everything, the beach which is huge and clean, the atmosphere which is relaxed, and we enjoyed our 4 days there, the only point would be the climb, 96 steps, up to the road level, Albufeira have sorted it out with an escalator why not here ? apart from that the top level goes from quiet to busy areas there is plenty to see and do for most tastes, the beach level boardwalk is a must as are is the cliff views, we stayed at the Marina and again what a lovely place scenic and always something happening, so we would return without a doubt and there are plenty of end of season deals with accommodation.

Small beach, hidden behind the hills, just outside Albufeira. Hard to get without car. Small, great soft sand, and some interesting rock cliffs. Couple arches, visible at low tide, and nice panoramic view from the top.

Amazing picturesque quaint town with beautiful beach and was told that surfers love it here with 150 ft waves when the condition is right.
