This historic beach was the primary point of landing on June 6, 1944, for the entry of American forces into World War II and saw some of the most intense fighting in the entire war.
I am so happy I took time from our holiday to visit Omaha Beach, its so much more stunning and impressive in person, the sea views are stunning, the cliffs, the nearby quaint town, the art and sculptures, this is one special and unique place in the earth I would suggest all take time to visit.

Visited this beach in recognition of the 75th anniversary. To stand on the beach and then visit the gun emplacement brings home just how exposed the Canadian troops were. 45,000 Canadians lost their lives during the war 359 on D Day - thank you.

Spent an afternoon on this long stretch of white and beach in Trouville-sur-Mer in July 2019. There were some cabanas and rainbow coloured umbrellas dotting the beach. Short walk from the cafes and Monoprix. There is a small counter service to buy snacks and waster. Facilities were clean. There are beautiful historical homes bordering the beach and a nice wooden boardwalk.

We had a wonderful peaceful 2 hours here plenty to see the cliffs the boats, beach huts. Parking was easy( mainly due to it being April) Plenty to eat and drink, did seem the food on the front was very well priced compared to further into town.
