Elie Beach

When you think of the requirements for a good seaside resort, Elie and Earlsferry is pretty much as good as it gets. The village is quaint and charming, the beach is fantastic, the harbour area lovely, the coastal walks stimulating, etc etc etc. Add the delightful Ship Inn and several other delightful cafes and shops and you really have it all. We always pop in here when we are in Fife and have never been disappointed.

Can walk peaceful and safety for everybody and with pet animals also if would you like to. This beach is sandy beach but are much small shells and much seaweed and much stones also. Psalms 115:13 He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. Blessing!

So many fantastic walks to have around this beach. It's very clean and has lots on offer all around it, with kids play park, skatepark and a leisure centre all on the beach's doorstep. Fantastic views of Edinburgh from the beach.

Black Sands

Whenever we are in Aberdour we always walk down to this fabulous beach. Perhaps I have always been lucky, but somehow when I’m here the water is flat calm and the atmosphere and lighting are fantastic. With great views of the old wooden pier, jutting into the sea on your left, and the wooded headland and offshore islands to your right, this place is a photographer’s delight. It is also a wonderful place to walk on the sands or simply sit on a bench and revel in the sheer peace of the area.

Pathead Sands

Reviewed By kristinvic2ria - Texas, United States

This is a very pretty beach. There is lots of free parking and easy beach access. The true standout of this location is all the sea glass and worn smooth pottery fragments that wash ashore! I met the nicest man on the beach who noticed my delight and shared a bit of town history. It seems over a hundred years ago there were two glass factories located in town. These factories would just dump unwanted glass into the sea, it was much the same for the pottery factory. Well over a hundred years later this beautiful sea glass is still washing ashore! It's remarkable! Beachcombing is elevated to an art! Literally,!

East Sands Beach

Avery different experience from West Sands; East Sands is smaller and more enclosed but can still be windy.. Great for a walk with or without dog and more family friendly It has the famous cheese shack too
