Relax a day at this complex, safe, families oriented, wide range of facilities and welcoming staff. surveillance staff for the pools, sunbeds and shade areas available. Open for public in general entrance prices from 6€ day. Not permitted to bring any food or drinks from the outside! working hours from 10am till 8pm.

I really enjoyed 2 trips to this lido complex. If you are staying in the centre of Funchal it will take about 35 minutes of pleasant walking to reach it but you can easily get a local bus. For 5€ you can spend the day inside the complex with use of changing rooms, showers, toilets, lockers and a sun bed. The pool is salt water and has shallow and deep portions. Its big enough to adequately swim even when its busy. There is also access directly into the sea for swimming. Its very popular with local families. Life guards on site.

We love Tavira Island and always visit Xiri Beach Bar, the cabanas and wicker beach umbrellas are a welcome retreat from the glorious sun the island receives every day and they are very reasonably priced for an entire day. Xiri serves a variety of snack food, amazing array of drinks, they even do a great iced latte if you ask!! Their sangria is a refreshing pre lunch treat and we saved the best till last, the mojitos are the best we’ve ever tasted! But what makes a bar the best beach bar beside great drinks? the staff - all of whom are hard working and cheerful and very helpful. Outstanding service Xiri and I’m looking forwards to visiting you hopefully in 2021
