Victoria is a thriving city of heritage architecture and time-honored traditions like afternoon tea. With the ocean at its doorstep and wilderness in its backyard, it’s also a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts. You can find everything from a world-class science and natural history museum to a blooming public park where peacocks roam freely, plus a range of unique shops, cafes and restaurants. And more cycling routes than any other Canadian city, providing a great way to explore the scenery.

Blimey where to start? Literally dozens of beers at reasonable prices. Wide ranging menu. I had Fat Tug and Steak Pie. Absolutely superb grub. Server was Miranda and if she serves you you will be well treated. A wonderful expereince all round. Highly recommended.

What a great find on the corner of Pandora St near our accomodation. Staff are so friendly & welcoming especially with our 2 year old. Paddle of 4 beers were lovely especially the wheat beer & the Fruit Wit. Booths are really comfy & meals were fantastic. Roast Chicken Sandwich in buffalo sauce was delicious as was the Grilled Chicken Brioche Burger. A great pub in Victoria & staff really look after you well.

Tuesday afternoon stop for a couple pints and Fish & Chips. Always good. My wife usually orders the Seafood Ceasar but held back for the regular fare this time. We both like this place.

This pub and The Bard&the Banker one block south are two wonderful examples of classic pub style; minimal tv screens, lots of rubbed wood and brass fittings. full bars and comfy seating to nestle into if your feeling cold wind messing with your mind. These buildings go back more than a hundred years and are worthy of respect. As you drink or eat, don't be bashful, take a good look around and imagine all the ghosts who have been here before. Life Music too!!
