Absolutely fabulous a real treat for anyone needing a laugh and a great night. 19th Century Lock Keeper’s cottage in the heart of Manchester’s city centre. Your local on the Locks! Our aim at Lock 91 is to create a home from home atmosphere. We are a small independent with a focus on quality service and a quality drinks offering. Here at Lock 91 we like to express ourselves with the originality of our cocktails, carefully crafted to create the very best in taste, texture and design to bring you the very best drinking experience. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, launch parties, networking events – we can host them all! With three floors including a canal-side outdoor terrace, we can hold parties as small as 25 people, or as large as 300. We’re an eclectic bunch here so keep an eye out for our latest events. There’s everything from house music nights to salsa classes, dating events to oil painting. And everything else in between.
In August 2019 we celebrated our sons marriage to Charlotte in Lock 91. Andrew and Charlotte had felt supported by Andi in the the planning and lead up to the wedding and he was no different on the day. Andi worked hard to ensure that everything ran smoothly even to stopping the traffic so we could board the bus to Cheathams library where the ceremony took place.. Lock 91 is somewhere different for a wedding, quirky decor and relaxed atmosphere which is what the bride and groome wanted. We were blessed with a fantastic day of Manchester sunshine and made good use of the outside terrace for canapes and drinks before moving up to the attic room for the reception. The food supplied by Cirvle Events was top quality and again different from traditional wedding reception food as we had sharing plates. The day flowed and we were able to relax and enjoy the occasion. We were partying until 1am . You should give lock 91 consideration if you are looking for an alternative location from the usual hotel venues. Just to add a thank you to Andi for helping us out when our van wouldn't start when went to collect some things from the venue. Very much appreciated.

Arcade Club is the Largest Video & Pinball Arcade in the UK, once you have paid for entry, All the Video Games & Pinball Machines in the Arcade are Free to play as much as you like! :) Entry prices are from £16 for Adults and £8 for under 16's, Family pass is available for £40 (2 Adults & 2 Children - saving £8) we are a family run business and take pride in being helpful and honest and being fairly priced for families. The games in Arcade Club are all original machines (some being over 40 years old!) and are in original condition and maintained to their original specifications wherever possible! we have over 400 machines to play on and rotate the games to keep the Arcade fresh - they'll always be something new you've not seen before when you visit! ;) Hope to see you Soon, Andy
An outstanding collection of arcade history & modern imports, machines that honestly are older than I am in full working order and what's better, all on free play! The age of the machines is funnily "sold out" by their coin mechanisms, they might be on free play but seeing 10p credits is a total throwback to before even my time. You name it there's a fair chance they have it on the third floor which is all ages, it's a who's who of arcade history from Space Invaders & Galaxian to slightly more modern classics like Time Crisis & with it being free play it's also less galling when your timing isn't as good as it used to be! The second floor is more aimed towards the rhythm folks but genuinely wouldn't look out of place in Akihabara - in a figurative AND literal sense! This one's over 16's only and is a heaven of dance games, random obscure Japanese rhythm games & a bunch of top notch VR stations as well just to prove that it's not all an antiques roadshow! The table flipping game though is a personal favourite, I'd seen it on YouTube but now I know why it's a cult favourite, gotta check that one out for sure! Food & drink is catered for - I didn't have any snacks while I was there but something up on the second floor smelled great & the prices are honestly of the sort of value that makes you feel like you're robbing the place! They clearly have an ethos of send the customer home happy & it shows, not very often you'll see places like this have reasonable prices on food & drink! Value for money is outstanding, under £20 and you can access both floors from opening til chucking out time, compared with what I'd spend in an "a-la-carte" arcade that's daylight robbery on my part! The machines are generally well cared for and well maintained, have to remember that in some cases the machines are 30+ years old and I dare say used to oblivion even on a 4 day week! (seriously for the age of them they work a dream!) I know they're opening a new location in Leeds but well, if they're looking for a Scottish outreach I'd support that to the hills and back! Might have taken a couple of years to get down but having been, it won't be a couple of years until I get back!

Prebooked to attend on 23rd August .Arrived at the venue which looks just like an ordinary launderette. You have to phone using an internal phone and provide a code given at booking to gain entrance. We were greeted by Jamie who was our waiter for the evening. There is a brilliant range of unusual cocktails for which Jamie had an excellent knowledge .He and the other waiters were really friendly which alongside the ambience and the most amazing cocktails made this a very enjoyable evening, we cant wait to go back.

The Brew Room is a fantastic, comfy pub north of Blackpool city centre. They make their own beers on the premises [5 hand-pumped ales available], and there's also a decent selection of guest ales. All beers are modestly priced, and kept fresh. It's a family-friendly place, kids are allowed until 8 p.m. The décor is fairly stylish and very comfortable, with a number of designated sections to sit and relax. Home-made smoked sausages [Excellent, and only 4.5 UKP] and oven-baked, freshly made pizzas are available at all times. On Monday nights they have a pub quiz, which can be very lively [I "ran" into one]. The staff are friendly and competent [in sharp contrast to the nearby The Hop!], food was served quickly. I actually visited the pub *twice* that same day - as Blackpool doesn't offer very many options for real ale lovers. Highly recommended for this town, it's only a short walk from The Blackpool Tower and The North Pier.

My partner and I came to Bring & Mix for our anniversary and had such a wonderful evening. We had 7 amazing cocktails, and the lovely staff were so nice to chat to (and super knowledgeable about the alcohols we had brought). The atmosphere was lovely, and everything down to the beautiful glasses was a treat. Ask for the chocolate orange cocktail- it's delicious.
