Named after Abraham Lincoln, this state capital is a great place for children, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Soak in the panoramic view of the city from the observation tower of the 400-foot high capitol building, whose white stone Art Deco spire can be seen from miles around. Then take a tour of the building and its grounds, where you'll find a Lincoln monument created by the same artist who sculpted the famous Lincoln statue in Washington, D.C. While you're on a history roll, visit the Governor's Mansion, whose Georgian Colonial exterior belies the varied architectural styles inside, and be sure to see the collection of dolls representing the state's first ladies dressed in their inaugural gowns. Felt like George and June Jetson would join us!!! Loved the Audrey Hepburn martini and the ‘hot nuts’ (yes!!!) were great. Fun place - we will come back!!!

We arrived in Lincoln for a 3night stay in the Haymarket district to celebrate our friend’s doctoral degree. A waiter at another downtown restaurant recommend The Other Room to us for fabulous cocktails. We loved the place immediately for the atmosphere and creative drink combinations. The three of us enjoyed working our way through the menu for the next 3 nights. The bartenders are true flavor chemists even designing off the menu flavor concoctions to delight us naming a sweet drink Professor Tiki for our new graduated friend. We have traveled from San Diego to New York and have never found finer cocktails than The Other Room. Jordan, Kyler, Fly, and Morgan thank you for your outstanding attention and drinks of course.
