Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

Enjoyed a few drinks here before heading to a Knicks game a few weeks ago. Friendly staff. Bartender gave me a round on the house despite it being my one and only time there. Cross the street and straight in to Maddison Square Garden. Ideal!

True dive bar. Ideal for a beer and a shot, especially in the AM. Don’t touch the locals, they bite.

Located on the 40th floor of the Aliz Hotel, Dear Irving on Hudson offers panoramic views of New York City. Crafted cocktails and elevated small plates complement the view. Reservations available on our website, though walk-ins are always encouraged. Proper attire required and elegant attire suggested. 21+ and proper ID required.

My husband and I have seen several shows here. It's one of our favorite venues for "General Admission" shows because it's one of the few venues that have decent VIP options. We sat in EBOX3 for Sum 41 and had a great view of the show. This is definitely our preference for "General Admission" shows.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is home for all things comedy. Founded by Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh, our theatre features cheap, top-quality comedy 7 nights a week!
You never know what you will get at UCB! Lots of variety. Character comedy always a hit. Improv can be occasionally hit or miss on the laughs, but at $9 per ticket in a great new midtown theater, (formerly the Pearl Theater) with such spirited, generous performers, no one should EVER EVER complain here. There’s also wine and beer for sale in the lobby... I personally love “Characters Welcome”, the next to last Thursday of each month, hosted by two comics with such endearing chemistry, Sarah Parsons and Eric Feurer. They each perform a character while introducing a group of other characters, I belly laughed all the way through, and really enjoyed the two MCs’ banter with us, the audience. I have also seen evenings of two mini-plays, each showcasing one performer. And those with bigger casts. I love the variety. I also love the proximity of Treadwell Park right down the street, which has free popcorn, games, and an $8 rare cheeseburger to die for that comes with a free beer during happy hour. No worries about timing since UCB is a short walk away. I’m happy to occasionally pay big bucks for Broadway but this is frankly a steal for a great fun night with friends!
