The Locanda di Vito welcomes you with its Mediterranean flavors and its island specialties: all accompanied by music and a fantastic view of the sea, between the bay of Citara and our "Scogli degli Innamorati". You can also admire our Chef up close cookin
We were recommended this restaurant sitting atop a hill with beautiful views. The food was excellent and we made this our go-to place during our visit. The sunsets will not disappoint and the service was also very good. Pizza was outstanding with light fluffy dough and crust. It was memorable. Pasta and meat dishes were also flavorful and well prepared. Seafood dishes were also wonderful. Nice selection of wines. If you are in Western Ischia, a visit for dinner will satisfy.

The pappardelle with fu ghi porcini was delicious, I would have just cooked a minute less the pasta! The appetizers were very good, bruschette and pumpkin flowers.Nice ambient as well.

We were brought here by Ischian friends last evening or else we never would have heard about it OR found it. My comment on the way up the twisting road from Forio was......Maritizo, you won't make us find our own way home, would you! What awaited us was a special dinner....the delicious antipasti's just kept coming and coming. The bruscetta...one topped with tomato and mozzarella and the other tomato and tonno were my favorite. The wood fired cooked calzone the best......and then came the "to die for" pasta with mussels......fresh strawberries completed this perfect meal. Grazie to the owner and to erika and Maritizo for introducing us la Forastera.

Speciality: rabbit in aromatic herbs known for meat dishes
We had been visiting Ischia for a long weekend. Inspired by Alex Pollizziâs âItalian Islandsâ programme about Ischia, I decided to take my partner to Il Focolare. The restaurant looked a little bit different from what we remembered watching a programme. Once we sat at the table, I asked a waitress, who looked familiar to me, if they had any celebrities visits. She told us about Gerard Depardieu and Alex Pollizzi. So my doubt had disappeared and I knew we were in the right place. So we were served by the restaurant ownerâs daughters. We found out that Ricardoâs 2 sons were working as the chefs in the kitchen. The antipasti which were complimentary to the main dish were delicious; our ordered Ischian wine was perfect. The cooked rabbit was tender, tasty and prepared with lots of love of Ricardo family. Ricardo spoke to the most of his customers during that evening. He came to us to say hello and we had a long chat. He shared his memories with us ....about his journey to London, his trip on a scooter from London to Bristol and many others. We had an absolutely brilliant time. P.S. taxi fare to get to the restaurant and back was absolutely rip off. I recommend to ask your hotel receptionist to book a taxi for you.

Going up the winding road leading to the further up village of the island of Ischia, Serrara Fontana, close to a bus stop, is the restaurant "Il Comignolo, The Chimney", from which, as you eat, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the island.A very kind lady will take your order. The food is excellent. If you can eat rabbit, try this specialty of Ischiaâs cuisine. The house wine is good.A magnificent cat may pay you a visit or lay next to your chair

Fresh food, very well prepared. They have a whole page of the menu devoted to Scamortza alla Brace, grilled, local cheese with a huge variety of toppings. Think pizza without the crust. The mixed grill plate was incredible - the best grilled chicken breast ever. Ambiance was casual and friendly. Nice views from the terrace. The staff was great - attentive and friendly. The place is a bit removed - a taxi suggested.Grazie per la vostra ottima recensione

Happened upon this place after wandering the streets at night. La Stadera is a device that weight things. Was treated to multiple free tastes including many different flavored liquors like basil. nice charcuterie and helpful service but I was the only one in there. Also got turned onto wine that I never would have hasted otherwise.

Just 1 km from the hamlet of Panza, Forio d'Ischia, the Montecorvo is a cozy restaurant nestled in the countryside between Ischia. Few tables, pieces of art chosen with great taste, a well and a fireplace carved into the stone green (inside). In hot weath
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel so we made them reserve - based on room number instead of name, but ok. The Restaurante is located nicely nearby and looks beautiful - a nice garden with a great atmosphere. We were first offered the table I identified as the worst (in an empty restaurant) and then after asking for a better one. Turned out several guests were offered the same bad table first (and asked for a different one). Drinks came rather fast. I wanted the special meat (beef) which was noted as 600g minimum (1kg = 40 eur), after ordering 600g the waiter came back telling me due to size of meat available I was asked to order 900g - excuse me, what? I see I am about 90kg heavy but I donât want to eat 1kg of meat. This was the 2nd strike of bad service. So I ordered the same as my girlfriend, beef steak with pepper sauce. Both were ordered medium. One arrived medium the other rather medium-done which I play down to the hot pepper sauce it was topped with. Luckily she likes her steak more like this so we switched the meals and the steak was decent. The rest of the evening was uneventful; like fully uneventful as we were not served anymore, sitting in front of empty dishes and glasses. We asked for the bill and got the same as other reviewers here: a 30 minute waiting for the bill. Which was written, by hand, on paper. No register print or anything. Which makes me doubt itâs financial and legal veracity.Overall, a shame for a beautiful venue.

Great quality of food. Everything tasted wonderful. The choices are limited but whatever you choose should be very tasty. We had the antipasto, pasta dishes and grilled meats. All good! Itâs a little difficult to reach and the ride from their little shuttle is quite entertaining given the extremely steep hill. Wonderful view once you arrive. Definitely recommend. Also we sat outside and it even rained, we were kept dry by their awning.
