One of mi best food experience in this area! At this time no turists in this restaurant, only locals. Meat of supreme quality, lovely dessert and above all, Michaele- the owner, is so friendly you feel like home. Everyone should try!Wow! Thanks for the beautiful review. I hope to see you again soon. Have a nice holiday!

I was taken here by some friends who had heard it was good. It certainly was....but also really inexpensive. All the dishes are homemade; lovely pastas, meat and fish and the cook makes fabulous desserts too. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly and there are lots of quirky bits of artwork and little personal touches (the menus are homemade but really, really tastefully done). The house wine was a local red and delicious at that. I totally recommed it to anyone who likes good homemade Italian food and relaxed surroundings.

I've been visiting this area since I was a child and Il Cacciatore still remains the best restaurant for eating wildboars and selvaggine. The staff is friendly with everyone; apart from that, the atmosphere is authentic and the weather is chilly also in the summer. The entire city relies on wildboars hunting but this place also serves peculiar recipes. The desserts are very good as well!

I've been there from my campsite in Marina di Grosseto after a long way in the middle of the beautiful wild landscape of Maremma's hills.Once there, i realized that surely only Trip Advisor is able to lead me in an anonymous village like Tirli, nothing to highlight but is position in the middle of woods (the owner introduced the place with a "be careful to wild boars when you come back").The place is nice, popular (a lot of local people among the customers), the staff is incredibly friendly and informal, I've liked so much. The food is quite (!) good: I've especially appreciated the second course with wild boar meat and the dessert. A little bit poorer the fried vegetables as appetizer, not very good the roast pork meat.Very good the wine, fragrant and strong, remarkable the water in the jug (from the public aqueduct, I presume).I got a pizza for my daughter and it was good. The average cost was 25 euro per person.

Had such a wonderful experience at this hidden osteria. We got there super late, and at first the waiter told us they couldn't seat anyone else, but when the owner came out, he was delighted to find us a seat, and that was super since we were starving - it was already midnight, after all. We were seated outside with a twig-like awning above us as cover, and green leaves strewn about and growing around the patio area. Really picturesque and beautiful! The service was some of the best I've had in the past couple of months here in Italy and the food delicious. We started off with a mixed meat appetizer, followed by the most delicious bruschetta and sausage pate - amazing. I told my date I felt like I was eating a garden when I took a bite of the bruschetta...it was so fresh! The main course was a mixture of different grilled meats, and they were really terrific. Here are my only critiques I will make of the food: The bread, is typically Tuscan, which means it has no salt. Which means it's awful. No, no, Tuscans, it's awful. I really don't care what your tradition dictates most normal people like their bread with salt. Then, though, the rest of the food including the fried chips and grilled meats were drenched in the salt that had been missing from the bread. While the food in general was really amazing - it either lacked salt, or had too much of it which turns me off in both directions. The waitstaff couldn't have been more pleasant and friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was really fantastic and, as I said before, very cliche of what you would imagine Tuscany to look like.

A bad experience. Warm pasta, tagliata manzo hard and full of nerves. Service not up for Italian standard with second bottle of wine without chance of tasting. More than an our wait between the first and second course when outside was very cold weather.

Really liked the modern atmosphere both inside and outside. Very relaxing. Conveniently located right by the national road. Easy parking. Very good filet steak from Maremma beef. Not at discount rates but still fair (22 Euro for 200 gr filet + 4 Euro for fries + 2 Euro coperto).

After several days of fish, we wanted some nice meat and this place provided it in spades. The mixed grill was wonderful: sausage, pork steak, chop, pancetta and belly. Seasonal vegetables, grilled peppers were wonderful. Local wine good too. We started with bruschetta with garlic and amazing oil (and we make our own, so know what is good) and then shared crostini that were very nice.I was like going back several decades in Italy, finding a quiet little place, family run, not much choice but what there was was well-prepared and tasty. Good value too for what we had.
Where to eat Bar food in Punta Ala: The Best Restaurants and Bars

This was our third visit. Some years ago we went in the evening at the height of the summer and were not impressed. One of our friends said we should try again and we had an enjoyable dinner last Autumn. We then had an excellent lunch in April, two starters, a very generous shared pasta, really two for the price of one, two mixed grills of excellent quality fish, one dessert and coffee which was very reasonably priced particularly for Castiglione della Pescaia which is generally expensive. Very pleasant owners and good service.

This beautiful little restaurant and bar offers a perfect location to have dinner or aperitivi on the beach. The staff is really nice and you have a good choice of fresh seafood meals served on the porch overlooking the beautiful beach of La Rocchette. We enjoyed lunch and dinner at this restaurant that also always welcomed our children and made sure they quickly got their meals so they could go down to the beach and play while we finished our great glass of whine "con calma".
