the most famous dish here is barbecue platter which they invented many years back and now followed by many others. the spice level in their dishes is bit at higher side which may not be comfortable for many young kids.the best thing here is you can order the food on telephone and reserve your table and avoid wastage of time recommended for barbecue lovers.
I have been visiting Lahoree Chatkhara in Islamabad since 06 months. They have excellent , hygienic & fresh dahi bhallay, aaloo & papri chaat, gol gappay etc are available. They also offer meal deals & BBQs. But this is not a place to experiment foreign cuisine especially I don't like their 4 minar thali since the foreign cuisine they make is not up to the mark or tasty at all. However, they serve very good BBQ, Pakistani cuisine & local drinks. Ambience & location of the restaurant are good. Staff is co-operative but not up to the mark since if you order via phone they will make excuses most of the time that the delivery boy is not available plus I had this incident where the food delivery boy shouted over me on the phone because he was not able to understand my location which is also in blue area so I reported & they took necessary action & offered me a free meal.I feel their top management is nice & cooperative but that cooperation cannot be seen in lower level staff.

We went there just a week after itâs opening, hence the place was pristine. Pakistani fine dining got us excited and we very happily ordered a number of dishes but unfortunately none of the dishes impressed us. Infact, it made us regret our decision to come to this place to eat and waste our money, we could have tried some other place in town.It took more then 50 minutes for our order to arrive and the other diners were also waiting for long periods of time for their food. Once the food arrived, we could see some patrons sending the dishes back, as they were not to their liking. The Karahi Murghi (that is a delicious Pakistani staple and is ubiquitous in every city big or small) was the worst we have ever tasted. It smelled weird and only two people tried the rest of the 4 didnât even attempt a tasting after looking at it. The Mutton Tikkas were rubbery and burnt and didnât have any taste. Fish tikkas was just okay and behari kebab was hopeless too. The biryani had coriander sprinkled on top. And the second round of naans came after we finished our meal. With such hopeless mains we could not even think of ordering desserts. Conclusion: Angethi was a sheer waste of our money and time.

We were told that Sattar Bauksh is the Pakistani blend of Star Bucks, the famous US coffee shop. Located between Howdy and Sarai Bistro which are Western / Italian style restaurants, Sattar Baksh has an absolutely local outlook and to say the least, it's quite impressive. On entrance, one comes across a unique ambiance and a very thoughtfully organised decor reflecting Pakistani culture as well as history in a very effective way. It's hard to overlook the decor and pass by without taking a snap or two. Indeed an artistically conceived interior. They have a nice outdoor seating arrangement too which is good enough in summer. However, we weren't there to take photos of the lovely interior only and wanted to have a nice cup of coffee with some snacks too. At the entrance we asked the waiter about the availability of good coffee and he remarked that we will get the best coffee in the town in Sattar Baksh. We soon realised that their idea of the best coffee was absolutely misconceived. What we were served was not a brewed coffee but a spoon of instant coffee powder mixed in hot water. It was a big disappointment and when we asked the waiter about the brewed coffee, he had no idea what it is and kept insisting that what he is serving is the best we can get. Instead of arguing more with the waiter what a properly brewed cup of coffee is, we salvaged ourselves by ordering black tea and Kashmiri tea. Both were of quite well prepared but the serving took quite some time. Not very impressed...... I wonder I would go there again when there are so many better options available. To see the unique decor though, one visit to the place is a must.

The positives1. Restaurant is located inside F-7/3, a bit away from main road. 2. The location is good, environment is quite peaceful and you can enjoy a quiter place to sit and eat. 3. Their chapati's are good,4. Their "karahi" or "handi" is good and worth try. 5. The price is very reasonable. The negatives1. My experience with food other than karahi or handi is not good, i tried burger and stakes which did not turn out to be a good experience.
Initially situated in Lahore Mouthful is Pakistan's first natural and healthy food restaurant, now has opened it doors in Islamabad too. Nothing comes on Mouthful's menu if we don't think we have mastered it and there is still room for improvement. That's
We were waiting for our car to get washed so came to Mouthful for a quick snack. Service was very good and fast. The chicken strips were crispy and tasty. The view from outside is breathtaking. Amazing to sit outside on a good day!

A very nicely located restaurant but has several serious problems:-1. No lift and one has to go up to second & third floor by climbing stairs.2.The "Afghani Nan" (bread) supplied was excellent. The normal nan was OK.3.The meat was very poorly cut. The person cutting the meat had no idea how to cut it. Result was that we could not eat it.4. The liver (Khyber Dodai Patta Tikka) was horrible and very difficult to eat.5. The seating was ok and comfortable.

The Kabul Kitchen (KK) is an Islamabad landmark. In the warm summer evenings tables spread out onto the pavements and families sit outside talking and eating. The reason to come here is the excellent food - watch it being made over the grill. We ordered the kebabs and then the meat skewers - they were seared well, tasty and succulent and with rice and naan - it was just excellent. This is excellent value for money and a great place to watch Pakistani society walk by...there is also and excellent bakery. Go enjoy, trust the food and the people - you wont be disaapointed

I visited with a delegation of 20-ish and didn't see a bill .... so I can't really judge value-for-money.The setting is a much-renovated historical site. The decor does seem rather Disney-esque in tableau form. Nonetheless, the service is top-shelf, the food tasty and (so far as I'm able to judge...) authentic. The other customers were clearly the wealthy of Islamabad: families, couples, and business-tables. Lots of variety ~ based on curries and bbq-style meats. Of course, no alcohol or pork.

Highland Country Club-Islamabad âââââââââââââââââGreat Place with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. My 3rd visit and so far it hasnât disappointed interns of food quality and ambiance. The road to the club is about pretty steepy but as their is still constructive going on so I hope it will get better. This time only had pizzas which were great in taste. 10/10 and great value for money.
