Lakeland is a city in Polk County, Florida, located along Interstate 4 east of Tampa. The westernmost city in Polk County, it is part of the Tampa Bay Area. According to the 2013 U.S. Census Bureau estimate, the city had a population of 100,710. Lakeland is a principal city of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area (coterminous with Polk County), which had an estimated population of 623,009 in July 2013 based on data from the University of Florida Bureau of Economic and Business Research. Over from the UK to visit friends and they took us to Grangers.Small place, so needed to book in advance, we arrived and were asked how we wanted our steaks cooking by Mr Granger, paid, got our drinks and were seated, food came quickly, salad to start, steak, baked potato and Hawaiian roll, butter and sour cream for tater, thereâs no massive menu here, thatâs what you get and, what a pleasant change, I hate wading through hundreds of menu items.There was just enough food and the steak has to be the best I have ever tasted, cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and so tender.I will certainly be revisiting Grangers when Iâm next in Lakeland, maybe try the BBQ.

Possibly a great addition to downtown Lakeland food and entertainment options. Refurbishment of old government style building to an Inviting well lit main area with impressive display as a whisky bar. Food was very good. However, bar service was pleasant but very slow to get our drinks out while we waited for seating. Ended up shrinking order down to 3 drinks from 12. Group of 12 was seated outside in the July evening heat and would have greatly appreciated FANS of some sort. Took over 20 minutes to get 1st round of drinks delivered to table and more than that for food orders. In retrospect we should have ordered food at same time as drinks. We couldâve easily had 3 to 4 rounds of cocktails with the heat but service delivery was so slow we barely had 2. If they can train staff better and speed up the process the food is well worth it. Hope they get this fixed!

We stopped here as a family of 6 with two small kids who were tired of waiting over an hour at the Steakhouse in Lakeland. Walked right in and were seated right away. Good table space. Waitress very nice to the kids. Food all came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meals and there was ample food. The pulled pork was wonderful. The salad- huge. The girls enjoyed the macaroni and cheese. Bathrooms clean. Excellent for wheelchair folks. Just a good family place with reasonable prices.

Millerâs Ale House is one of the places our âafter church group of 7 to 12â wind up on a Sunday afternoon. I find the food to be good and the service friendly (albeit sometime a little slow). Good selection on the menu. I especially like the fried shrimp and so far everyone seems to like the things they order.

We stoped here on a whim and I was glad we did. I built my own burger with blue cheese and it was delish. We also had the pork sammy - also very good. They have more than a few sauces at the table to choose from. The service was excellent. Our Bunco group has several times enjoyed lunch at Ovations in Lakeland. Today we had another great meal. We had 9 women in their large round booth, and had a great server, Kristina. She was very friendly and on the spot with everything we needed. The food was very good and the lunch specials are very affordable. One of the managers let us share some delicious desserts on the house. Weâll definitely be back again! Try the Pineapple Up-side Down Cake itâs wonderful.Thanks so much for the compliments and for the recommendations. How about that pineapple upside down cake? Itâs one of our favorites too! This is my second time to this BBQ chain. The first was in Bradenton. The Lakeland branch was the same. The restaurant is exceptionally clean. The walk up order service is easy and friendly. You seat yourself and pick up your food when they call your name.The BBQ is excellent. We had brisket, baby back ribs, and pork, and chicken. All were exceptional with the right amount of smoke and tenderness. All the sides are ala carte and are excellent. Definitely recommend if you like Real BBQ!Hi there! If I could give them 10 stars or more I definitely would!!!!! Their burger was..........AHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMAAAAAAAZZZZZZZIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! I'm not big on burgers but I've gone to a few places looking for a burger that would really spike my taste buds; lots of ppl recommended 5Guys and I WAS NOT impressed at all!!!!....the red top on the other hand? Fantabulous!!! Thanks Keith for your outstanding service n burger. I'll definitely be back again n recommend this place.
