Sermoneta is a small lovely medioeval town located on mountains at South of Rome and next to Latina. If you have opportunity to visit this nice place and its castle, then don't miss Chichibio, a nice tavern located right on the central way of Sermoneta. It is simple family running place but fulfilled of relax and comfort. Tables are tiny and suited both for Summer and Winter times. Keepers are friendly and helpful. We tried turistic menu offer and we weren't disappointed. Wine of the house was wonderful as like as rosmarin bread. The first course included hand made pasta, second course was grilled meat served with fresh salad or rosted potatos (meat selection was good just a bit too much burned). Final good surprise was price. Complete menu for 2 persons at less than 40â¬. Definitively a place worth to return.

This is a great restaurant. Plenty of seating outside and inside, and parking. The service was very personal and friendly, and the food very fresh. We had antipasto, first course, dessert, plenty of different drinks and it was so affordable. I would definitely go back.

My work colleague and I were in Cisterna for work and wanted a tasty pasta dish. We found this place which was modern, clean, very friendly, and had the most amazing red wine glasses. We had The most delicious plate of pasta that we experienced during our week stay in Italy. If we are lucky enough to go back to Cisterna we will definitely go back for more!!

Got to "Il Federale" with a colleague during a business trip, since our hotel was nearby. Unlucky for us, as it was overpriced, un-tasty, and even a bit scary.The "scary" part is due to the countless pictures of Mussolini all over, waiters in black uniform and the severe hostess (which seemed like the owner). Although we were only asked for our preference for a main dish, we were bombarded by lots of primi piati, which we were not aware of initially, to a point where we didn't even have an appetite for the main dish and asked them not to serve it.The starters were quite odd-tasting (and that's coming from someone willing to eat almost anything). The smoked salmon had lots of bones in it, the calamari was as chewy as a rubber imitation of it, and the salads were weirdly seasoned. The black risotto we got was mediocre, and the only starter which was good was the pasta. However, all these we're too much for starters, so even though we were two hungry grown men, we had to give up on the main dish.The â¬70 bill topped our dinner, making it quite clear that we made the wrong choice for dinner. Simply not worth it.The swastika outside made it clear - keep away.

This restaurant/pizzeria is located just outside the stunning medieval village of Sermoneta. The place is quite big and well decorated surrounded by beautiful olive trees.In summer you can eat outside and enjoy the breeze in winter the inside is cosy and warm.The food menu is rich and you also have the possibility to order pizzas which is not extremely good. I definitely recommend you to order "antipasto misto di montagna". This is a huge starter to share, based on local products from salami to fried vegetables, from beans soup to ham... delicious!"Primi piatti" are simply amazing, pasta of course with game meat sauce or cheese and veggies."Secondi piatti" are not as rich as "primi". Mainly local meat. I suggest you a medium cooked and incredibly tasty "tagliata di manzo" (cut of beef, but remember to order Argentinean meat).I also suggest you to order "contorni" salads or vegetables (incredibly fresh and good) to eat together with your "secondi piatti".Desserts are ok. The wine menu is extremely rich and also the local wine is good and quite cheap. Staff is polite and helpful and prices are good for "primi piatti" and starters a bit more expensive for "secondi piatti" and selected wine. If you are going to visit Sermoneta or Ninfa you should definitely stop here!

Ciao . I cant recommend Gusto enough. We were greeted by professional staff, seated in the back area, and treated like royalty! The food was fantastic and ill talk about it in Australia for years to come. I really had an unforgettable night with my family. Thanks to everyone that was working that night!

We only came for food and it was ok but nothing special. Simple cusine and short menu, with some options not even available. The local antipasto was just fine (the waiter wasn't able to describe what it was composed of when taking our order), as well as the meat. The house wine is rather watery. Overall, I'm not sure that it is worth the drive since equal or better food can be found anywhere else in the area.
