This restaurant is just off the Aurelia about 20 minutes out of Grosseto going south towards Rome. Take the exit for Rispescia. Simple traditional interior - comfortable and warm. We enjoyed a good local antipasti selection followed by delicious home-made gnocchi with a big choice of sauces. I had artichokes and fresh tomatoes - delicate but tasty. My companion had truffles. Although we were full at that point, we both stretched our belts for dessert - one tiramisu and one crème caramel, both excellent - the tiramisu freshly made. With a small carafe of house red we paid 52 euro. Highly recommended. Friendly service too.

I found this place on Trip Advisor after developing a craving for a hamburger. I guess after a week of pizza and pasta my 'Merican diet had enough of that. The food was great and the staff were amazing. They were polite and helpful and luckily there were a few who spoke english too. The burger was a good as anything you will find in America... I'm surprised because they're so hard to cook and all and the fries were great too. Great place to visit!

We went as a couple with two young children. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, with a nice grassed area for children to play in while parents ate, not forgetting the beautiful Tuscan hills as a view. The waiter was very helpful and spoke perfect English, and explained a menu with lots of local dishes and exciting out of the ordinary options. I went for the florentine steak, 1.5kg of steak (!) with grilled vegetables and my girlfriend had the pollo al mattone (chicken cooked under a brick!). The steak was not only huge in size but unbelievably succulent and perfectly cooked in salt and olive oil - aside from the size, it was the best I've ever had. We then had some hand made panna cotta and almond biscuits with dessert wine, all of which were beautiful. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone in the Maremma region, for the uniqueness and quality of the food, the surroundings, and the quality of the service. This is one of those gems where you can tell how much effort is made to make an amazing experience for diners.

We went there for dinner, and were ready for Guido's delicious food. We started with a antipasti misti, followed by four sorts of pastas, two with local truffle (amazing), two without (delicious). At that stage, only the most motivated followed... The pigeon was good, but not at delicious as the lamb and the cinghiale (wild boar). A nice tiramisu was the way to end this fantastic dinner, served with a very good house wine. Don't miss the experience, go to Guido, and take cash with you, as the card machine doesn't always work...

I was taken here by some friends who had heard it was good. It certainly was....but also really inexpensive. All the dishes are homemade; lovely pastas, meat and fish and the cook makes fabulous desserts too. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly and there are lots of quirky bits of artwork and little personal touches (the menus are homemade but really, really tastefully done). The house wine was a local red and delicious at that. I totally recommed it to anyone who likes good homemade Italian food and relaxed surroundings.

This restaurant came highly recommended by locals from Banfi. But, we were a bit disappointed. The service was medicore at best, not what we had been experiencing, and the food seemed to be too Americanized and nothing special.

I've been visiting this area since I was a child and Il Cacciatore still remains the best restaurant for eating wildboars and selvaggine. The staff is friendly with everyone; apart from that, the atmosphere is authentic and the weather is chilly also in the summer. The entire city relies on wildboars hunting but this place also serves peculiar recipes. The desserts are very good as well!

Magnificent restaurant near Maremma parc. We hiked in Maremma parc and stopped here on our way back to our hotel. We were too early so the restaurant was not open yet. Nonetheless, we got several brilliant Italian cold dishes with great wine. The next day we decided to go back at a time the restaurant was open. This time the whole family was there. The parents cook while the kids serve you dinner. The food was so tremendously good!!! Every dish consisted of brilliant Italian food and as a âsecondiâ we got fresh meat which was one of the best pieces of meat we ever ate, it was so fresh and so tender. Together with great wine, homemade arancello (like limoncello, but then made with oranges), terrific desert, but most of all with an amazing atmosphere thanks to the wonderful family we had a brilliant night here and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've been there from my campsite in Marina di Grosseto after a long way in the middle of the beautiful wild landscape of Maremma's hills.Once there, i realized that surely only Trip Advisor is able to lead me in an anonymous village like Tirli, nothing to highlight but is position in the middle of woods (the owner introduced the place with a "be careful to wild boars when you come back").The place is nice, popular (a lot of local people among the customers), the staff is incredibly friendly and informal, I've liked so much.The food is quite (!) good: I've especially appreciated the second course with wild boar meat and the dessert. A little bit poorer the fried vegetables as appetizer, not very good the roast pork meat.Very good the wine, fragrant and strong, remarkable the water in the jug (from the public aqueduct, I presume).I got a pizza for my daughter and it was good.The average cost was 25 euro per person.

A bad experience. Warm pasta, tagliata manzo hard and full of nerves. Service not up for Italian standard with second bottle of wine without chance of tasting. More than an our wait between the first and second course when outside was very cold weather.
