We had a lovely meal here. Service was really friendly. The menu whilst not huge had a great range and the food was absolutely delicious. Setting and view from the outside was really special as well. Would certainly go again and recommend.

We visited this restaurant for a family meal one summer evening and what a dining experience it was! The service was impeccable and extremely professional. It was a delight to have the opportunity to speak with the restaurant's head chef after our meal (in which we gave our highest compliments). As you enter the restaurant it may seem old fashioned and ordinary, but don't let that make you think the food is anything but ordinary. Furthermore, once you step outside onto the balcony you will be astounded by the scenic views as you take your seat with a glass of wine on this mountain top restaurant. The view is really quite something, but the food is even closer to perfection. We began with an antipasti consisting of typical Italian hams and cheeses along with a special type of fried bread which is prepared to a very high standard. You can also ask for antipasti vegetables (we had some delicious courgette) Next we enjoyed a range of roasted pork and sausages. The flavours were divine! To finish I had Torte de mele (grandma's Apple cake) and my family had Nutella and Ricotta pie. To finish of the meal in Italian style we knocked back some shots of homemade pomegranate and also Basil flavour liquor. The Basil liquor was extremely fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant not only for its fantastic food but also the dining experience it provides. See you again. Katrina and Roberto From Bristol, England.

It would be 1 star if not for the staff friendness.I was here for dinner, arranged for 20:15 (times are relevant). The restaurant offers 4 set menus, all of them have focaccia with different companion food, water and a glass of house wine:1. A cured meats and cheeses tagliere, and a veggie souffle (20 euros)2. A porcini pasta dish followed by a porcini tagliata (25 euros)3. A wild boar pasta dish followed by wild boar and polenta (20 euros)4. A mixed grilled meats meal (30 euros, min 2 people)Orders were taken at 20:30. Some focaccia appeared within minutes. I opted for the porcini set meal.Around 20:50 people who took meal 1 were served. But people who took meals 2 and 3 had to wait until 21:30 (!!!) to get their pasta. And the main courses of meals 2 and 3 were served around 22:10. Times were clearly not acceptable. But, at least for meal 2, the food itself was NOT acceptable as well, completely different from what normally meant to be (and of course, what was served was much cheaper than what expected). To be explicit:The porcini pasta was served with a sauce mainly made of smoked bacon with only tiny bits of porcini: the porcini flavour utterly lost, given the huge amount of smoked baconThe main course, advertised as a tagliata chianina with porcini, is meant to be a slab of meat at least 5 cm thick, done on charcoal, sliced in 1 cm thick slices, covered in fresh raw porcini cut in a julienne fashion: instead I got a slab of meat barely 3 cm thick unevenly cooked (and NOT on charcoal), cut in thick slabs, deadly cold (!!!), covered by slices of Parmesan cheese, and with a tablespoon of porcini sauce on a side: totally unacceptable, it is almost cheating the customer.I did look around, and the set meal 1, although fairly abundant, was also on the cheap side: some plain different cured meats, a couple of cheap spread cheeses (gorgonzola and stracchino), some anchovies: normally, a "plate of cheese" means a selection of cheeses with some peculiarities (like mountain goat cheese, cheese with herbs etc): again, what served here is far from what normally expected when a cheese plate is advertised.

Panigacci tradizionali cotti esclusivamente alegna
Do not waste your time here. We were in a large group which by the design of the serving area they are used to having, so that cannot be an excuse. What surprised me was that they expected these customers. The food was tough, bland, and greasy.I was shocked that in Italy a non 'tourist' restaurant could be so terrible.

This place is so friendly, with a great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious meal of antipasti (regional specialities); ragu ravioli; grilled meats; creme caramel; delight of white chocolate; bavarian midberries. The wine was gorgeous. I asked for a dry white wine with minerality. I had a wine typical of northern Italy. We were staying in Aulla and found this place by searching on trip advisor. If you are lucky enough to be nearby, do go along. This place was buzzing with people. A great night!

Excellent service but food was over priced for just average dishes. We would not return as there are so many better restaurants in the area.

This place is amazing. It has been amazing since it as a girl and it still is. The service is great, elegant yet personal while the food is always the great standard it's always had. A definite must is the panigacci. Typical of the area and done perfectly every single time. Please don't ever change.
