Zeppis is is a traditional pub which sits on the corner of Qala square. A bit claustrophobic inside, but there is seating outside, which of course is very popular. A local for the many ex-pats that live in the village. Has regular live music. Very pleasant.

I ended up visiting Rangers most nights while I was staying in St Lawrence. The food is great (especially the pasta), the service is friendly and professional and best of all the banter in the bar is excellent. I sampled quite a few of the whiskies of the month and learned about some new ones to buy back home. Great place!

Tables by the waterfront, good food, nice music, good prices, and of course the cool Pirate theme ... what more do you want ? Our kids thought they had the best burgers ever (even better than Hard Rock Café). I mostly had seafood which was great too ! Check this place out !

We visited for dinner... A lot of points to make. Food was by far below average... Pizza bland, pasta bolognese overcooked and no particular taste to it, calamari fritti were probably the biggest let down for a fish place... Soft, chewy and not tasty. The worst of all.... The wine.... Red wine menu, clearly stating McGuigan Black Label Shiraz Hunter Valley, however the bottle shown in the photo was actually brought...'South Eastern Australia'. Very distasteful to claim to provide a bottle from a viticulture background such as Hunter Valley and then bring a South Eastern Australian downgrade.. Dear Customer,we are very sorry of reading this review. I have been working at Piùtrentanove for 10 years, as owner and as cook at the same time, and since I prepared by myself the dishes you mentioned, I can answer to all your points. I can state, with no doubt, that the pasta was not overcooked (but "al dente" in perfect italian style) and the "ragù" (bolognese sauce) is one of our "forte", I prepare it with my grandma's recipe, a tuscan one that is a guarantee of taste. People usually come back for it and for sure they come back for my pizza: everyday I prepare the fresh dough and I use high-quality products, I am sorry if you didn't like it and found it bland, I invite you to come and try it again and maybe you'll change your opinion. About the calamari, I can simply reply that I buy them from a well-known fish shop that sell the best fish in the island and in these last weeks many customers gave their compliments on my "frittura di calamari". Lastly, I didn't understand exactly what happened with the wine, but we have no pictures of any bottle, so i don't understand what you are talking about...We have a large selection of wines and detailed description of them. Anyway, I suggest, for next time, to inform the waiters if you find something wrong with your food, it will be our pleasure to verify if the pasta is overcooked ot the calamari chewy, and we'll see to having them prepared again for you.Best RegardsFilippoOwner and cook at Piùtrentanove

Retro bar, brass railings, framed photos of vintage advertisements, make Cafe Jubilee a comfy and fun place to skip into. The food lives up to expectations. Delicious flaky lampuki (fish pie) and enormous well prepared ravioli stuffed with Gozo cheese made for a filling and fun meal. We shared a tasty imparet (date pastry) for dessert texture of pastry just right filling not too sweet.Thank you Xcski441 for your well detailed comments . We are thrilled to hear that you have enjoyed our local food offer and hope that we wilkl have a further opportunity to be of service to you

Went there on a Friday night and ordered the bruschetta with sun-dried tomatoes and the fried cheese salad. The bruschetta was probably the most delicious one I've eaten. The salad was very disappointing, though. It consisted of two large pieces of garlic bread, 3 or 4 deep-fried wheels of cheese and a side salad consisting of wilted shredded lettuce, carrots and tomatoes. The actual salad part looked like something they serve on an airplane. The service was quick and the people were very polite. The location is lovely.I can't give a place that would put that on a plate and call it a salad more than three stars, though.

Having just completed the coastal walking tour around this amazing island, we took the bus back from the coast to the village square! ( 70 miles in five days! ) Choosing where to eat we were draw to the unique interior and warm welcome we received at Rubbles! What an unusual interior, very friendly staff and we loved mixing with the locals. Food was delicious, very well priced good mix of specials as well as comprehensive regular selection. We were given a complementary tasting platter while waiting for our food, very delicious , thanks, It was too. In addition we were offered a lemon liqueur or coffee on the house. Very generous.Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, lovely local wine. Highly recommend.Only negative and nothing to do with the food was our nosey neighbours, who couldnât help notice my husband looking at accommodation listings and tried to push their b an b on us not only once but twice. Network by all means but draw the line at invading others personal stage.Thank your Rubbles for a wonderful local atmosphere experience.

OVER RATED , undoubtedly because it's cafe prices ..the serving staff are pretty hopeless, and asking them for attention ..well, 'sorry to have inconvenienced you .'The staff rush up and down barely looking at customers .. this places trades on its lovely location, certainly the staff are un trained and for me, probably one of the worst sets of staff on the island.Food average..try the Club House next door, the best burgers in town and terrific staff .

We at there several times as it's so good. The large fish and chips is enormous, crispy and succulent. Shared the fish and had a side salad with the husband eating the mushy peas and most of the chips.. The burgers are astonishing and the wine glasses are as generous as the plates are full.Miracles performed daily from a tiny kitchen..... if only they did delivery to Italy!Hi MH thank you for our great review! Andy and our Chippettes work very hard to produce great tasting food and give great service. Its nice to hear you have been to Stanley's several times and look forward to seeing you again.
