Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Whiting Bay. Whiting Bay (Scottish Gaelic: Eadar Dhà Rubha) is a village located on the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland. The name Whiting Bay is thought to originate from "Viking" Bay. It is approximately 3 miles south of the village of Lamlash. Stunning location, views unlike any other. This place has such potential but unfortunately one of the chefs couldn't make a sandwich (you know two slices of bread and maybe some filling) for my sister who couldn't have anything else in the menu due to a rare syndrome. The menu clearly showed that the kitchen had those ingredients in stock... Other frustrated members of staff finally persuaded him to make said sandwich but he refused to do it any other way than toasted for some strange reason.. Charged the full price. Also parents ordered 'ham soup' which came with a delicious layer of Grease particles on top of the skin that covered such a thin soup, laced with Chunks of LITERAL FAT. Seriously these could have been turned to crackling in the oven - refused to eat it and wasn't charged for One bowl. I ate the chips...Lovely place to enjoy a chill, walk, chat and drink with such a view - however a pool table blocks this from inside (why not maximise on seating area beside the full length wall window designed for viewing?)Apart from that... Yeah nice outside.

I vowed I would never eat in this place again after a very bad experince 5 years ago but what a diference time makes. Huge refurb has turned the restaurant into a beautiful eating place, with well-trained staff and a well-constructed, well-cooked menu which is not overly p[riced (compared to some other establishments in Brodick).

My husband and I recently visited Arran and found ourselves in Crofters 2 out of the 3 days we were there - we went for lunch the first time and it was so delicious that we went back the next day (I particularly recommend the cullen skink - exactly what I needed after a brisk walk to Brodick Castle!). The atmosphere is really lovely and the staff were super friendly. All the food we tried was delicious and I would certainly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We had 2 dogs with us and had arranged to meet with friends for lunch as they advertise that they are dog friendly. On reaching the door, there is a sign saying no dogs except assistance dogs. I enquired about this and was told that the only dog area was the outside area? While the weather was nice, who would want to eat lunch outside on the beach front in October? Think they need to make this clear on their website. Pity really as the restaurant and menu looked lovelyThank you for your truly honest review of the experience that you didn’t have at our restaurant. I’m glad you liked the look of our menu – we also think its pretty great. We are really sorry that you thought we allowed dogs in our restaurant however nowhere across our social media or online platforms does it mention this. It feels slightly unfair that you felt the need to leave a one star review for a restaurant when we do not advertise ourselves as a kennel.

We visited Coast twice and were delighted to find an establishment which served a cappuccino rather than coffee pretending to be cappuccino! It's in a great position right on the beach with fabulous views. We spent ages watching the gannets diving for fish. It was very quiet on our first visit and the barman was friendly, chatty and welcoming.

We were stopping overnight at Whiting Bay in our campervan, so called in here for lunch. We always support local services if we wild camp anywhere. The service was friendly and efficient, with a smile. There was a good choice on the menu (especially for a Sunday) and the prices were about right. There’s even wi-if if you need it. We would definitely call again the next time we are passing through and would recommend it to anyone, include campers and Motorhomers.
